I feel like they're really trying to do a good job, but there is not enough communication between the staff. So sometimes my mom's laundry doesn't get done, or food doesn't get prepared the right way. I think they have a high turnover… So it's not always the same people and again...that's a communication problem.Overall, my mom is happy there and has made friends. I like that they offer different activities for the residents to do like bingo, euchre, wheel of Fortune, and movie days.

The facility is nice, but sometimes had a strong urine smell. The reception and administrative staff are very friendly and kind, but some of the med techs were rude and refused to answer when my mother would push her help button. The food and activities were great. I would recommend this place for normal retirement community care, but I do not recommend for acute medical respite care or for people with complicated medical needs.

Overall, most of the nurses and aides are good, although some are much better than others when it comes to handling the specific needs of memory care residents. Communication is an area that could be improved. I’m not able to speak directly with the caregivers about how he is doing or discuss his needs unless I’m there in person, which is one reason I visit almost every day. More consistent communication with family members would provide greater peace of mind. The facility offers activities, although he is selective about what he attends, and the food is generally okay, though there have been some recent issues. The staff has been helpful overall, but there are occasional frustrations with state regulations that the facility is required to follow. Cleanliness is an ongoing concern and could use more attention. On the positive side, his room is larger than he really needs, but it was the best available option and is situated well for keeping an eye on him. Overall, there are some good aspects to the facility, but communication, cleanliness, and consistency in memory care are areas that could be improved.

I have to say this facility was chaotic. Lots of residents and wheelchairs in the common area, a fight broke out between two residents, one resident was wandering the halls and was lost, there was a bag of trash in the hall and the Director was constantly repositioning furniture and pictures in the halls. The rooms were very small - they showed me rooms people lived in, not models which made me uncomfortable.

Watch the paperwork. It is chaotic and not very well managed. We had given them almost five thousand dollars, we decided against it because of a strong urine smell in the hallway from an incontinent resident they told me did not like to be changed. My husband has alzheimer's and would have wound up in their memory unit, that's why I changed my mind. I wanted him well cared for. We had not taken occupancy and even paid a pet deposit. They said we will get nothing back. A very sharp friend of mine reviewed the lease and wrote a well composed letter And they have agreed to give us twenty four hundred. I know I could win in court , but I am eighty six years old and don't have the stomach for it. The place had a lot of good points, but I could not in good concience recommend Windward.

My mother seems to be doing well at the Court. Her complaints are, no microwave in her apt. Cleaning staff only spends 6 minutes cleaning and if they can skip her, they will. If you are not at dinner by 4:59pm they will make you wait an extremely long time to be served. The dinner time is very deceiving. There is not enough entertainment to keep her interested. She says the movies are terrible and most people walk out. Also the bus only goes to Walmart on a Saturday for 1 hour. She would like more transport to other places. She is independent but does not drive. She would like more entertainment during the week like piano playing. Sorry for the complaints but this is what she tells me on a weekly basis. We are paying $[removed]a month and you would expect a little more than what is offered

There were good and bad aspects, as with most places. The community was clean, and the room size was just fine. The food was okay. Having three meals a day was nice, and they did work to get the residents out of their rooms and into the dining room for meals. This is probably not the place to go if you need extra help. My mother's dementia had rapidly progressed, and she didn't want to eat. I think her mind was not telling her brain to eat, so she would just sit at dinner. I repeatedly asked the staff to feed her, but they would not. I even emailed the director and got corporate involved. They told me they would feed her, but every time I visited, she was sitting at the table with a full plate of food and no caregivers were there. Several caregivers told me they had been instructed not to feed her because she was able to feed herself. It was a constant battle. Every time I complained, I was told they were feeding her, but other residents told me they never did. I watched her lose a significant amount of weight. Would she have passed away anyway? Probably. But I believe she would have lived longer if she had received more assistance with meals. It was sad and difficult to watch. The caregivers were hit or miss, but I think you find that everywhere. They did keep the place clean, and overall it was a relatively friendly place.

The caregiving was disappointing and did not meet expectations. Most of the other staff members were friendly and courteous, which I appreciated. The activities offered were limited and not very engaging. The food was okay, but nothing special. The room itself was acceptable; however, the bathroom was not designed well for wheelchair users, making it difficult to maneuver safely. That was a major disappointment and something that should be improved for accessibility.

Towards the end of my sister's stay, the staff would go to check on her numerous times a day to make sure that she was OK and hospice came in at least once a day, which was very much appreciated and with [name removed] now being in memory care he's has been taken care of very well and I'm very happy with how everything is going on

The food is good--good variety & they don't repeat the menus on a regular basis. Management is good. If there is a problem they address it right away and correct it. Care is just ok. Some of the caregivers are very slow to respond to call lights and act like they are doing you a favor. My rating is because of the caregivers.

The food is decent but lacks quantity. They are constantly cutting things to save money since new ownership. Apartments are nice size . Housekeeping not so great though I wouldn't expect it better elsewhere. Fellow Residents wonderful.

Staff was kind and common areas were kept very clean. The food seemed to be pretty good as well. I would say that they're a good place for senior living but probably not the best for advanced needs leaning toward memory or hospice type care situations.

It's a nice place, but there are things I would expect at this kind of facility, but are just not really there. . I do recommend it to people but with reasons why it might not work for them. I wish they would give you a welcome packet when you got there so that you need to lay of the land, including a list of the doctors that provide services for them

Pleasent, good central location. seemed a good value for cost. It does not have the service staff I would need for my wife,

The day staff were good and the food was decent. They did not make mistakes with medicine. The night staff were uncaring and unresponsive. The bus rarely went out with clients

I was concerned about the outside of the independent living space. The roofs were not maintained. The independent space was nice and big but too expensive. I didn't not get a warm feeling from staff and they did not have Longevity. They don't do Medicaid. They did have a full menu and activity calendar.

Out of the many i visited it was in the top 3 however i went another direction financially more reasonable

The public areas are dated. There is a faint odor. The art in the public places looked like it was bought at Hobby Lobby in the 1980s. There were no residents sitting in the public spaces. We saw two spacious apartments but they looked dated. The major reason we decided not to live there was that we would have to move to a different apartment if we needed assisted living.

It was great at the beginning. I have been here a month. The food deteriorated and very salty. I asked about the nutritionist and was told they didn't have one. Which I was surprised.

It's about 50/50 on rating. The food is very sub par. The staff that cleans and does laundry is very disorganized always losing the residents laundry or giving it back dirty and not laundered. The facilities people haven't been able to fix the tv to get local Channels. No one seems concerned with the voices complaints
