Communication from the senior staff has been lacking and is a problem in this community. This community is well situated and is a convenient good place in the market. It is a large community and there is a lot of activities. The food is either good or better than most and the day to day staff in the assisted living are good.

This is a nice community. There seems to be a lot more residents that are memory care compared to other communities I've been in. There is a microwave and refrigerator in the rooms for the residents to use.

This community was not as nice but the people were nice. There was a weird shower that was out in the hallway that I know that my father would not have liked.

I like Olympics West somewhat. We have asked for the staff to assist our loved one getting out of bed or opening their blinds. It seems that these items haven't helped to get my loved one to the dining room to eat or get up out of bed.

We do understand the staffing shortage is causing some issues - the house keeping and laundry assistance is not as consistent as it should be or as what was promised. However we absolutely love the staff members that could not be nicer and we do believe after all the craziness of covid things will get better.

A little concerned since Elmcroft of Rivershire has been taken over by another management company and is now called Lewis Park Estates. I'm hearing they call the ambulance and send the residents to the hospital for minor issues they don't want to deal with. Medicare does not cover every cost and this causes elderly, living on fixed income, to eat up their money. Also found, on a visit, no employee manning the front door. Left wide open at times where residents could get out and for those elderly that get confused they would be lost. Very scary. Also, bad about returning phone calls. This new company just took over in November so we'll see how it goes in the next few months. I'll revisit my review after that.

Some of the nurses aids we really like and are sweet as can be and some of them we do not care for at all and don't seem to care for the residents. They have had quite a bit of turnover of staff, they just hired a new administrator and they lost the activities director that everyone really liked. The food is good, lunch is the main menu and dinner is something a little lighter. The have a new vendor coming in the beginning of the year and it is supposed to be gourmet. They do have happy hours on Fridays and she also likes to play bingo.

My loved one just picked another community. I liked this community actually better than the community that my loved one went with but in the end of things I had to go with my loved ones wishes.

When we complain and go up the chain of command, we do get results. But sometimes it takes that to get results, which has been very frustrating. The facility is pretty clean, and it doesn't smell funky, which is huge. The living spaces are pretty nice, although the rooms are smaller than the last place my loved one was at. But there is a common outdoor area with a patio available. My loved one has had a problem with one staff member who she feels is antagonistic toward her, but she says the other girls are angels. She generally complains about the food and tells me it's tasteless and lacking in options. But they are doing better about getting input from the residents and making improvements accordingly. With Covid, there aren't really activities going on right now, but they've definitely tried when they've been able to. And I'm sure that will come back eventually.

They have gone through a lot of recent turn over and have been short staffed due to these changes. Due to the shortage we have had some ups and downs and some peaks and valleys due to the shortages. We have had a lot of great experiences and also some that are not so good. We thought that the apartment was furnished and then found out it was not, there were certain amenities that things were also not made clear on. My loved one does not like the food too much and we are waiting for the employment issues to smooth out to see the changes. I love that they have transportation for the residents and appreciate this feature. I also have not yet received a bill like I should and have had to call to avoid any fees.

2 3/4 yr resident quiet place in community friendly, helpful staff. Many CEO'S in my time and lots of caregiver and med room turnover. Followed pandemic Covid state and regional rules well. Kitchen food improved greatly in taste and quality in my time. Good care when I fell and went to hospital.

We were looking for independent living, which Morningside does not offer. They also just seemed a little more institutional. It was just not what we were looking for.

Our family had an in person tour and the community was perfectly fine, but we did notice it was a little run down and some things were broken. It was a little bit cheaper then another community we were looking at, but not enough to sway our decision.

They seemed nice enough and eager to assist. My husband died before he had been there a week. Not only have they ignored my requests for a refund they had the audacity to send me a bill for the next month.

We did a virtual tour with Elmcroft so it was difficult at times to get a good feel. But I was able to talk to the staff and they were very nice. I was somewhat familiar with this facility as well since my grandfather was here.

We moved in in Aug and the office was great following up and then the executive director and a lot of other staff walked out of the center. The other staff tried to pick up the pieces from those staff leaving and it wasn't working well. My loved one did not respond well to the no activity and it made him anxious. It was supposed to be secure and he got out of the community through an emergency exit. I feel like the staff and those that are there have done the best that they can do but they are struggling.

My loved one who has Parkinson and Alzheimer's really likes it here. The communication is poor between the staff members and things take a while to be resolved. They have activities like bingo, musicians , painting , flower arranging and trips to the store to keep the residents busy.

It looks clean except for the hallways. I would recommend families come and visit often. They treat the patients good, but the care is not very good. They're short-staffed and don't have enough staff to provide the services they say they do. The staff are nice and friendly, but overworked. It's hard to take care of that many people when you don't have the staff to do it. Sometimes the food is pretty good, but sometimes it's really spicy, which can be hard for my loved one to eat. I feel like we got in at at good rate, but we're not getting the services we paid for. And it's an older building with scarce electrical plug-ins, maybe 10-12 ft apart. They're supposed to turn her in bed every 2 hours, and they don't.

We were not the biggest fan after our tour. We thought it could use some updates.
