First off I want to say that this community is nice we just had a horrible experience due to the lack of nursing care. They have a nurse but she isn't full time and then she was hardly there at the times she was supposed to be. My mom had a wound on her foot and they failed to let me know that she had this sore and it turned into a bone infection and she had to be in the hospital and then rehab. Mom loved the ambiance and the daily activities they offered and they have christian activities like Hymn singing. The food wasn't that great. Everything seemed to be orderly and clean. I just think if a place has a nurse they should do wound care on the elderly.

My sister lives here. So far, there have been positive and negative experiences. She’s fallen on more than one occasion and the response time for the staff to help her has taken too long. When she first got moved in, her alert system wasn’t even working and sometimes she has to wait a while for a nurse to come by. The food isn’t the best either, which is sometimes the most important thing about these places. However, she likes the unit she’s in and she seems comfortable in it. They do help her get to and from doctors’ appointments and they have a bus that takes the residents to the supermarket. Overall, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend this place to others.

We toured Brookdale, and liked the facility a lot. It was very nice, and when the time came to choose a community to move to, it was definitely a hard choice. we did end up opting for a different community primarily due to price point.

I toured Elmcroft while I was looking for a community to move my mother into. It was a nice community, but we were, over all, not very impressed. It was a clean, homey community, but we were looking for something more upscale to suit my mother’s needs, and we ultimately chose another place for her. However, Elmcroft may be perfect for families looking for a community that feels like being cozy and at home

Dad still drives so this wouldn't have been a good location for him it is not in a familiar area for him. We liked the community although it was smaller. The rooms we saw were a little bigger than others. The staff was very friendly super nice.

I had recently taken a tour of this community for my father and I have no complaints of how things had went. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions I had for them in detail. I liked the property and thought the staff did a great job with the overall presentation. They just did not have the memory care that my dad would have needed.

The person that took us on tour was nice. This community looked clean. This is a larger community and I felt it would not work for my loved one.

The community looked nice when we visited. This community offers a monthly meeting for family members of Alzheimer residents. I was not impressed with the person that took us on tour as they bad mouthed another community we had already looked at.

This is a great community with a lot of amenities for their residents. the staff was friendly and they did a very good job showing us around and answering our questions. We just did not think that it was as secure as my brother-in-law would need. I would recommend a tour here.

This was a very nice community and the staff did a very nice job with our tour, they showed us all around, they answered all our questions and the residents seemed happy here. We just didn't think this was quit the fit for my brother-in-law.

We had a really nice tour here and the staff did a great job showing us around, they took their time in doing so. They answered all our questions. The grounds are beautiful and there are a lot of amenities for the residents here.

I enjoyed my tour here and the staff was so very nice, they answered all my questions. I like the look of the rooms and they offered some nice amenities for their residents as well. Since my friend is in a wheelchair I was concerned about him moving around and that he would have enough staff to help should he need it. All in all, this was a nice community.

My mother has recently made the move into this community and so far everything seems to be going okay for her. She has had no problems with the meals and I am hoping she starts to get more involved in the great activity program they have for the residents throughout the week, The only thing that I would say is upsetting is the staff are slow on fixing things in the apartment. We have requested a certain issue be fixed for a while now and it has yet to be done.

Unfortunately my mother had not been assessed property and her care needs were more than they could address here as she was in need of memory care which is not available here. So we had to move both my parents to a community that was set up for both assisted and memory care. My father would not use his call button and because he needed assistance getting up and down that was also becoming an issue as they were only doing room checks every 2 hours. We also found that my father's individual care costs were becoming rather high. The grounds and the out door patios are beautiful and the dining here is fantastic. My mother was eating better than she had in months and so was my father they both loved going to the dining area. This community is very nice and their staff are very friendly but my parents were both in need of more care than what their assisted living could offer them

All of the staff are caring, attentive and helpful. They keep the community very clean. The only complaint I have is that the food is terrible. The management is trying to work on improving this. The service help is nice and tries, however they are short staffed. They offer a lot of activities and my loved one enjoys the music activities. This community is in a lovely area and the rooms have a nice view. This community offers excellent rehabilitation and I would recommend it.

A very nice and well-maintained community we toured. The staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. They are preferential to the residents who are already in their independent and assisted living community to receive first choice at the vacancy openings to memory care. It makes sense, but that is why we did not choose this community there were no vacancies.

For the most part, I liked this facility. However, they did not offer all of the amenities that I would have liked. For example, I wanted a garage that was available for me to use and this was not offered by this facility. Other than this, it seemed to be quite a nice place.

Very nice and clean facility. Cost was the next factor as it was $3k less a month than Woodlands in Muncie, although they were an accredited RN facility and Elmcroft is accredited as a LPN facility, I still feel my mother is receiving the care she needs. Elmcroft offers more privacy and allows their patients more access to include going outside an enclosed area if they want as well as a room key for access.

Everything went fairly smoothly at Brookdale. The staff were very good. The facility itself started out pretty okay, but it declined very quickly. There are many activities offered. My loved one did not like the food. Overall, there were many ways that my loved one's stay could have been improved, but it was okay.
