short staffed. Executive Director does not respond to messages. care in Assisted Living is terrible. I once fell and pressed the emergency alarm button around my neck. No one cam for almost an hour. Grounds are filthy. Food is good.

Current staffing shortages are affecting the quality of care. The location of the facility is good because we can visit frequently, but communication with the family has been poor since both the Executive Director and Sales Manager left. It is starting to have the stench of a nursing home/urine- never was like that early on. Would I recommend this facility to others? I'm not sure. It has pluses and minuses, and hard to say what I would recommend. I guess I probably would, with reservation. It's a lot of money and once you are there, you can't leave because you have to private pay for 2 years.

We toured Magnolia Springs Lexongton when searching for Independent Living for our loved one. The facility itself was okay. Our tour guide was good. The atmosphere and cleanliness of the facility seemed good.

Our family had an in person tour with Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg and the tour was just an ok experience, it was the wrong location for our loved one

When this facility was Elmcroft I would give them an A+. Then it became Bedford Estates. It went down in quality of care and shortage of staff very quickly. Difficult to get clear and concise information.

The staff are nice. I feel they are understaffed to ensure the care of my loved one and residents. The food is not very good, and my loved one and other residents have been very dissatisfied with the meals. The business office personnel is very nice to speak with, it would be nice to see more follow through on the family's concerns and feedback. My loved one's laundry isn't being done in a timely manner. There have been times that I have had to take my loved one's trash out, as it has been overflowing. I wish the value for the money was better. We were promised a lot of things by the Marketing Director during the tour. It would be nice to see more items fulfilled that were promised.

We toured the community during construction. We needed a community that was going to be ready immediately and felt this wasn't the place for our loved one.

They are taking care of my loved one. They are expensive, but don't deliver services commensurate with the expense. They've been plagued by turnover and appear to have difficulty filling positions. As I say, it's acceptable.

They could do better with keeping the bathroom clean. The interaction with the staff is pretty good. The food is okay. I have seen a few activities but they could add more. The value for the money is affordable.

I realize that it is difficult to find help these days. Mom's care is very spotty. The most difficult thing is that it takes staff an hour or oftentimes more to get help after she presses a call button. By that time she has peed and/or pooped in her pants. And it is a greater mess to clean up. She gets very little attention at night. No one comes to change her. What would happen if she had fallen? Mom was also supposed to get a Veteran's discount of 10% since she is a WWII veteran. She has been here for two months and I have yet to see anything from 5 Star Living on her bill. Did I miss something? Finally, the director is seldom on the premises. Her office is dark most of the time. They also do not have a nurse present full time (information that should be given during a tour). A nurse is 'on call' during the night hours. Once the night meds are dispensed, there are two people who take care of all the residents at Sebring. The facility is beautiful and the physical layout of the rooms is very nice, cared for and functional. It is always the people who make the difference. The staff is competent and most are caring, but underpaid and not enough of them.

The interaction with the staff is good. My loved one likes the food. She engaged in activites such as; Bingo, cards, drawing, and wrote letters. They have had a large turnover rate with staffing. I would recommend to other families, if it's for someone who has been specifically diagnosed with dementia or alzheimer's.

Their staff is very kind and accommodating. They could update the place a bit with fresh paint carpet and new furniture. Food is sub par. The staff communication with the family is good. There are three meals a day. If you don't like what they serve they have a regular menu the resident can order from. My loved one complains that the food isn't good. However my loved one complains about the food wherever they are. So I'm not sure if everyone else there agrees.

Done well -Front desk receptionist is helpful -The size of the rooms are nice. They are larger than others I had seen. -the laundry is done frequently - the location is close to my house Needs improvement- -everything else -the executive Director is approachable. And she says the right things. But that is not what is done. I do not have a clue as to how to remedy that. -I think they need more help.....or they need to pay their help more to get someone who wants to be there. -The help that is there does not seem to be trained on how to deal with memory care clients -there are a few of the employees that are great. Compassionate, helpful I do not believe that most of them want to be there. There is not much about the care plan that is followed. Her hearing aids do not get charged, they do not get put into her ears properly, if she says no to eating, she waits until the next meal. Her bathroom would not pass inspection if they were ever inspected. There should not be a tile floor in a memory care bathroom, and the grout is all gone, so as a result, it fills up with filth . unacceptable to me. I have checked with other facilities, and truthfully, they do not seem to be a whole lot different. We have put her on hospice to be able to get more help in a couple times a week. That does seem to be an improvement. I do not have a great solution right now.....only problems. I have appreciated your service as I would not have known how to proceed with mom at all. It complicates her situation because of her being in a wheelchair and having mobility issues. I am not trying to get anyone in trouble......only stating my feelings. I think the future of our senior care is in serious trouble.

I would tell my friend to investigate every aspect of the facility before signing anything. They are quick to tell you all the things that they can do for you but then fall short of accomplishing these tasks. It's not a place that you can trust your family member to be taken care of without your constant riding the staff to complete basic tasks. If the facility came through with all the things that they had promised, I think it would be worth the value and cost but they fall short of accomplishing daily tasks.

I would say that it is very expensive and that it might be more financially sound to quit their job and become a full time caretaker for their loved one(s). Under the circumstances we were in at the time, we really didnt have the luxury to "shop around". The meals are good and staff is friendly though. Also, sometimes the staffs response time when the "assist cord" is pulled in the room is a little slow.

I toured with The Pines on Carmel Senior Living and I was not impressed at all. They were the SAME pricing as the facility that we picked, but the staff and quality of the facility were not even close.

Our family had an in person tour and their memory care part of the community was at the back of the building so to us, that unit seemed more of like an after thought. Also we just did not get the sense of family there.

I toured this facility and the people were great. The normal tour guide wasn't there, so I ended up working with the 2 Memory Care Directors.

The staff is friendly, and the apartment is nice. But the food really needs improvement.

We picked this community, because they seem to care about the residents, and the location. They can improve on the food, by adding better options. it would also, be nice if they added more music interaction for the activities. I would recommend to other families.
