My mother really likes it there. I only had one little thing with them and that was that my mother didn't know how to work her phone so I couldn't get ahold of her and the first time that happened it took them over an hour to get to her room and I wasn't sure what wa going on. The activities, if the people participate because the have a choice, have been very good. My mother is busy all day. They take them on trips and have a beauty parlor on site. I think it's a great place. It's bright and cheery. It's a great atmosphere.

Janet was especially helpful, and spent a lot of time with us on two separate tours. We are anxious to see the renovations.

I looked at this one for my husband and it looked nice but I only went to see it once. It was more expensive than another place so I did not choose it.

The supervision level is lacking in the evening. There are not nurses on site or anything like that on the weekends. The staff is friendly and work hard. It is priced as high as other communities with better staffing. I would still recommend the community with those caveats.

Compared with everybody else I suppose they're right in there as far as cost goes but the cost of health care is high. While my dad was there one of the footrests for his wheelchair disappeared. They said they would look for it or replace it and they never did follow up or do anything about it. Another thing that I would have to question is that my dad was in Wynwood at the start of August. We paid for the whole month for his room and care charge but on the 3rd of August we took him to the hospital. He was in the hospital for several days and then he went to a nursing home and hasn't been back to Wynwood since. They said after 14 days of him not being there they would drop the care charge and I'm wondering why they are charging for those days that he's not there.

This is a really nice facility with great caregivers and seemingly happy residents, but they don't allow residents to cook for themselves.

I don't have a lot of experience because I just went for a tour but it was right up there in the running. It was clean and the staff was very friendly. The residents seemed, if not happy, at least contented. No one was distraught or anything like that. It was our number two.

Their common areas a clean and they do come and clean the bathrooms and room but it seems like even after the cleaning crew comes through the bathrooms are not as clean as they could be. At the bottom on the outside of the baths seems like they don't wipe it off. Just things here and there that could be cleaner. The food sometimes isn't the best, sometimes the meals are bland or they run out of one of the choices. They are not a bad community but could improve in some areas.

I plan to move in on the 1st of September. It looks good to me. They take dogs and cats so I'm going to take my dog. Edina Park has been there forever. I've lived in Bloomington for 49 years and it seems like it's been there as long. The building is very tall and very different from what's around it. It's quite an old building but it doesn't look old - they've kept it up over the years and they're remodeling it now. There is a swimming pool and a daily activity program posted in the entry way. They have a bus service. It's really quite close to a large mall and they take you to your doctors appointments. The provide meals. I'm renting a one bedroom and a den and 48 meals a month. You can buy more meals and they have people that will do your laundry and things for a fee. The people that I talked to were all quite friendly and seemed to like it.

We're still getting a feel for some of the care - that's not coming together yet. The activities look like a good deal. My dad hasn't really participated in much yet but he's new there. I think that it's a really excellent place. I really haven't found anything wrong. The food rocks! I think that is a really important deal. It's well prepared and nutritious and attractive. The residents all seem to be just happy as clams. If you came and walked around and talked to anybody they're all positive and friendly and I think that speaks well for the whole situation.

It was recommended by A Place for Mom and when I went to visit the community I really liked it. It just seemed like it was the right fit for my loved one. I felt like they would take really good care of my loved one. They are very friendly and the community is very nice. I am very pleased with them and the job they have been doing so far. I would recommend them to anyone in fact I already have recommended them to people.

This place is 5th on my list. There was a cluttered feel throughout the building. Liked the dining flexibility. Room and board reasonable;however, the Care Level and Med Management fees are high. When everything is added together it is still less than what Mom is paying now.

I had to put Mom in an assisted living situation because I could not take care of her a my home. After reviewing many homes I was convinced that Elmcroft had the most helpful and caring staff of all the facilities I reviewed. The price is in line with the market as a medium cost facility. The food service has excellent food and servings and as Mom says " great desserts". So far so good.

Very nice facility; I like the layout and the atmosphere. Staff and residents seem happy and friendly. Staff seem well trained and good with residents. Prices are high though, relative to other similar places (if I did my math right).

We visited several other communities and this one was the best of the bunch. The staff is really helpful and friendly. The community is really clean and really couldn't ask for anything more. My sister is a picky eater and they seem to always have an alternate that is good so it keeps her happy.

Specializes in dementia/Alzheimers. Has semi-private in our budget ($4500/$4900)! What? 46 residents max. One-on-one care. Each resident gets special care plan. If they want bath every, they will get it. Everything is there but clothes and personal needs. Can bring own furniture if you want. Age in place - can live there until the end. Home Health and Hospice come in or take him. No set visiting hours. I can come and go as I wish. Day stay and respite program - he can spend the night there. Have male semi-private open and medium private room.

Elmcroft has been wonderful! I choose them because they more services with hospice care. The people are friendly. The only thing is that they could use some more activities to help keep everyone occupied.

Great price! The price is in the lower price margin but still pretty good. The majority of the people are very nice and responsive. The people have been very accommodating making changes to help make things more comfortable for her. She is still getting used to everything. The grounds are very nice.

nice hallways, decorations not overdone, reminiscent of Spring Arbor, no code for getting in memory unit, code for getting out, residents do not hear the alarm (a plus for me), alarm is at nurse's station and downstairs, doctors come in to building, would have to take mom out for dentist, aging in place, pee smell by some rooms as we entered the memory care unit, cleaning was occurring at same time, apt was great, prime location for mom, right at nurses' station and dining area, could put lift chair in common area for mom to sit in. Executive Director was very responsive to care concerns and seemed understanding of concerns and needs.
