Although the interior of the facility is lovely, decorated nicely, seemingly friendly staff - it was just too large. Independent living is three stories, assisted living six stories, and memory care three stories, all in one connected building. It reminded me of being on a cruise ship and not knowing what direction to take when leaving the room to find the elevators. The one-time Community Fee seemed rather steep, being one and one half month's rent. Every member of the staff we met was warm and friendly.

Safe place, but lots of employee turnover. I would not recommend it. Since January, patients seem to be ignored by the activities coordinators and not given opportunity to go outside or do fun, engaging activities.

My dad thinks food is pretty good some time and he thinks most of staff is pleasant. Even though my dad doesn't do many of the activities there are a lot offered.

Some of the nursing staff was wonderful....others didn't seem to be all that interested in the residents. Lots of personal phone use. Receptionist always polite. Loved that a hair salon was on site. Staff that works in therapy department are wonderful also.

I used it for a 2 week respite care. Her room was shared and It appeared clean etc. My rating was low as when I picked up my wife she was dehydrated. No excuse for this.

Okay apartments. Overpriced for what they offer and compared to other facilities. Staff somewhat friendly, but not too inviting. Talked with inhabitants. Although people were "nice" nothing stood out. We saw other, more pleasant and more social senior living situations.

I had high hopes initially. All the staff were very helpful, especially the personal care staff. They were all always willing to talk to me and understanding and accommodating. However, once my person was in there, communications became much less satisfactory. She passed away 8 days after moving in, and after that communication became actually quite poor. It was difficult to find out whether there was a timetable to get her things out or not, whether they could use items such as unopened wipes or unopened adult underwear so I could donate them, etc. They never did do her laundry and I had to bug them a couple of times to get it done. Since I had never gotten any information about how fast to move out, I went over there one day to pick up a table and some other items and was told that everything had been thrown away. Without ever notifying me. I did get a partial refund of my payment for the month, since she only lived there 8 days.

The communication from the staff including the director needs improvement. Messages and emails are not returned. The food is good. It would be nice to have more piano music during the day. The place is pretty empty during the day. My mother is very comfortable there

not a good first impression. Reception area was out of coffee creamer. The glass table I waited at for my host was dirty. The host was cordial and knowledgeable. The rest of the facility was clean, but old and dated. The best feature was its proximity to shopping at Tanger Outlet mall. Not my favorite place.

Medication management/ medtech resources could be an issue- will need heavy oversight by you for your loved one to ensure proper medication management. This would be the same for special diet - if your loved one is not keen to speak up for themselves

Mostly good staff. Food better than most. Care level better than other places Sadly understaffed

It's in a quiet part of town, close to food a shopping. They just have management problems. This one probably average to what's out there, geared towards folks that are still pretty independent. there's always a little room for improvement in any facility,

The staff appears to care. Could be better with the cleaning of the rooms. About college dorm size rooms. Multiple activities daily. Pretty decent menu. It's a decent place with a staff that wants to do good for the residents.

I liked the facility but I really didn’t get the feel that they were truly about the people. Seems more fake than real.

They are doing a lot of renovations--painting, carpets etc. so it is difficult to rate. It is difficult for me adjusting to this facility--it will be nice when finished but coming from a larger and more active assisted living facility it is hard. The staff is helpful and the best part is the food is very good.

Food Service is good, activities are good, place is mostly well kept Can improve AC and Heat maintenance

The food--for the entire eight months my mom was there, they repeatedly promised that they were revamping the menus. It never happened. And the servers were rude to most of the residents. The administration changed three times while she was there. The last one told everyone my mom was leaving without asking her permission which made her very uncomfortable . It often smelled like urine in the lobby and hallways. The activities were the same thing over and over again. Also it was often understaffed and some of the caregivers obviously did not enjoy their jobs.

There is not enough staff and they have forgotten to come in the morning at least 8 times to get mom for breakfast. They leave her downstairs after a meal for hours before someone comes to push her back to her room. The apartment size is ok. She can wait for hours after pushing the button for help. She is moving out at the end of the month.

overall a 3 from each of them would be the highest. That is why my sister decided to move. All staff were friendly and tried to be helpful in spite of not enough staff.

We chose Windermere Estates for respite care following surgery. The administrative and day-to-day staff were extremely friendly. A person looking at the facility needs to understand that they are going in to Assisted Living / Memory Care type facility to set expectations of new resident. The activity director is amazing, and very engaging and dedicated to keeping residents involved. The food has much to be desired though.
