I think the community members and staff are friendly. I enjoy the variety of options given for meals and dining given to the residents. Programming that accommodates to a variety of interests is appreciated.

Great, caring staff in a well-maintained living space. Plenty of activities and entertainment for everyone. Great location for rest or recovery for any senior needing assistance with day-to-day needs.

My loved one is currently a resident at The Gardens of Virginia Beach and things have been very good overall. I would probably recommend this facility to others, though it is a little bit costly.

I would recommend Calusa Harbour to others looking for retirement living.

They have been really good and [name removed] is loving living there. we just had some issues with them automatically taking the payment out every month. Facility is always very clean and they recently updated the inside [name removed] made it very easy to enroll [name removed] and has always been super helpful [name removed] loves the food there They were great about getting [name removed] involved from the very beginning and made the change a lot easier for her

Some residents seem "snooty" but I am sure it will take time. Cleanliness receives a 4 only because construction is a little messy. Everyone is so very friendly and helpful. Even though independent living, staff are very caring and helpful. The meals reduced to week day lunch and very challenging for those on restricted diets. We love all the activity options! Very impressive and [name removed] is well liked! Although it is very expensive for elderly population. Size of apartments are small for hefty rental price. I understand though how tough the industry is ( worked in nursing home business) and rising costs of labor and food, ect.. overall happy with where our loved one has there in close proximity to Northshore area where options are very limited.

The staff is small and can't be everywhere but wandering residents are a major problem. It's very disruptive to those who want their privacy. Management needs to address the problem, perhaps hire someone who can take care of the situation. My husband doesn't want to stay there so what am I supposed to do? I'm very concerned and discouraged. I realize dementia is a huge problem for everyone involved.

My parents are residents in memory care. They need so much help. The staff is creative about helping them to eat well, move regularly, and sleep on a good schedule. I just love the staff. They love mom & dad.

Brookdale Medical Center overall has been okay for our loved one. Our loved one really likes the different activities they have going on there and the community is very close for our family. We would recommend this community to other families but it does depend on what kind of attention they may need.

One issue we had was the regular people who would have given us the tour and set up the contract weren't available (one was at her daughter's wedding and one was sick). A person from the Wilsonville Brookdale came and took very good care of us. However, she said they would give us $500 toward moving costs, but my Mom was told they don't do that at the McMinnville Brookdale. Other than that, everything has been excellent.

When we moved our Mother to Magnolia Springs, we were skeptical about the care she would receive. After just one week we quickly realized that she would in fact get great care. About 85% of the staff are extremely loving and caring people. There is always going to be staff that you just don’t click with but it not a reflection of Magnolia Springs as a whole. The food is surprisingly good and sometimes great.

I so appreciate [name removed] in Memory. She is kind enough to keep me informed concerning my mother. And she is very pleasant and kind to my mother and myself. I couldn’t say that until Christine came. My mother has been at Magnolia going on 3 years now. Thank you Christine !

Please experience so far. When there have been issues they've resolved them in a reasonable time. Common areas and walkways are always clean. Staff great and easy to work with and always willing to help when needed. There were issues in the beginning but I think they were understaffed and not meeting standards for care but that's been resolved. Management is receptive to listening to issues and working to get them resolved. Cameras are allowed which has been helpful in documenting issues. Food could be better and management has stated they're working on improving. Limited and somewhat disorganized but I'm not sure if that's due to staffing or the health/age of residents. Compared to cost/value it's more expensive in this area when I compare to Sun City, Florida facilities which I surveyed before deciding to bring my mother her to Pearland, Tx.

I believe the size and layout of the facility is just right for memory care. Not so large folks get lost/confused. Outside garden area is secure. Really good experience, but Mrs [name removed] was already quite frail at age 93. And she sort of gave up after she realized she was longer at home. All part of the disease

What I like the most about the Calusa Harbour community is the friendliness of the staff as well as the location of the community. Based on my experience so far, I have already recommended this community to others and I will continue to do so

When we were first looking into places, everything stuck out about Windermere Estates over others, they were far better than our second choice! Did not have an old folks home feel to them. Most of the staff is very caring and friendly. I was extremely pleased. He was also sat up with a roommate that was very compatible, great job!

I am not able to comment on the food. I think all facilities are criminally expensive. They are having some staffing problems at the momenyt.

Great staff, excellent attention to patients/residents, thoughtful programs, comfortable accommodations, well organized and designed. Great courtyard for walking.. quiet and restful rooms and dining hall.

The facility is clean. The staff is excellent and very friendly. I would say communication is fair. I think the meals need major work. The 1st month I was here I was nauseated and vomited 90 percent of the time. Now, I eat very few meals offered, which are government subsidized here at this facility. I don't know if I would recommend the facility to others, I'm still learning how things are done.
