Quality of care is excellent which is the most important to us. Dad's health has improved since moving in. Activities are ok. They keep him stimulated, but wish there were more people with similar interests. No card players. Dad says the food is horrible, but he's eating and finding options. Likes the weekly outings to dine. Facility is kept very clean. Apartment is a very nice size, he not there other than to sleep. He stays out most of the day.

I appreciate the time [Name Removed] spent talking with me and for the tour of the facility. It was at the end of a long day, so most of the "friends" seemed to be winding down for the evening. Those that were about seemed pleasant enough chatting with one another and walking their laps around the building. It was nice to see such bright and airy common spaces. The memory care area seemed safe and well lit. Some friends were in a common area there and seemed to appreciate a visitor. It did, however, smell like urine in that area which was off putting. Overall, it was an informative visit to see what the facility has to offer, if needed.

The staff are all wonderful. Dad enjoys the food except the fish.

The Terraces sounded great over the phone, but my reason for being ina CCRC is the medical services and exercises for my Parkinsons disease. All my other ailments are taken care by medicine alone. They do not take medicare there. The annual maintenance is higher than the [community removed]. So I would not financially do better in that operation.

Courteous manager. Active senior community. Independent living, Assisted living and Memory Care. Will consider this facility if large 2 bed unit becomes available.

Often the staff was slow to respond when called and twice they did not come for about two hours. Mostly had issues with the night staff. Overall though, it was a pretty good value and usually friendly and helpful.

The culture is very positive and friendly. Memory Care has gone through 3 activities directors in a year and currently is without one. Staff all seem to know my parents by name which is nice. Overall I'd recommend it. They were bought out by Sinceri, btw

So far the entire staff has been extremely welcoming and helpful. Consistently they acknowledge with a greeting, no matter the location or the employee.

The staff is very responsive. The activities are bountiful, including very good exercise classes and many opportunities to be out in the community. The apartments are roomy and pleasant with new carpet and paint with each move in. The food is consistently good and I would rate the dining staff at a solid 5.

This was our first tour. It was a nice facility. The person we met with was very informative and explained a lot.

It's quite expensive and we still struggle with the quality and consistency of the food here. Otherwise we really like it here and the people are wonderful. We've made lots of friends. I would recommend to others.

people are very friendly and willing to help. they offer different style and size apartments depending on affordability.

[Name Removed] was gracious and good at explaining the benefits of Olympics West. Fees are not the highest nor the lowest of those we have seen. The building seems clean and well-maintained. The independent living and assisted living parts are separated into different parts of the facility. We did not view an assisted living apartment.

I would give them 4 stars. Dining is great along with activities. No clarification on levels of care and nursing could be more involved when falls with injuries occur. Apartment size is adequate and food menu is great.

Place is clean. Food is good. Should be some more activities. People are nice. Mostly older people. Nothing to do on the weekends Staff is nice. No complaints other than boredom on the weekends Should be more trips as well.

Positive. The care staff are very kind, professional and seem to really care for the patients. Activities. Plentiful. Great long term program director. [name removed]. Negative. Rooms need to be checked throughout the day for patients w bladder and bowel incontinence. Need more vegetables in diet. Especially for vegetarians. Many patients have put on many extra pounds due to all the carbs served at meals and snacks. Quite a high turnover of admin staff and some care aides.

The staff members at Birchwoods at Canco have been absolutely wonderful and very easy to work with. It has overall been a positive experience for my loved one and this is a place that I would recommend to others looking for care.

[name removed] was very friendly and professional. The apartment sizes offered by the facility were smaller than we had hoped to find. The facility seemed a little dated and tired.
