Extremely expensive can not afford it. Location is in a high-traffic area, difficulty get to & from the facility.

Activities don't cartilage. Look like 5. Value for money. No basis to compare. Supporting staff for assisted living. Delightful and efficient. Food excellent; kitchen staff friendly; competent; serves a diverse audience splendidly.

I like that they check on her if she doesn't show for a meal. They are nice and courteous. They've changed their menu and remodeled the dining area. For her, it feels more like a restaurant and that makes her uncomfortable. I think it sounds great and I like the upgrades they've made. Activities: she doesn't participate. She is super upset there is no longer bus service. I am, too. I was counting on that to help her get to appointments and such. Value: I think it's great for the money. So many places are too expensive, especially for her. This one is good for that. I have used their Grandmas Attic room every month. It's clean and comfortable, as well as affordable.

There was a lack of information when mom moved in, no welcome package with useful info. We only knew certain things because of a friend whose mom lives there. The were without a director at that point but hired one since. I hope she helps the move in process. The apt is a good size and the facility is very clean. The cleaning lady for mom is very nice and does a good job.

My mother in law seems to like it very well. The main area had a smell, not sure if musty or what, and it's needing some updating throughout. There are frequently long waits for the elevator. The people seem very friendly and mother in law says the food is very good. Still very new so I guess as time goes on we will be able to reassess .

The staff is extremely caring and kind. There's not enough of them.

So far it's been a good experience. Mom seems to be happy. The only complaints I are that the nursing staff does not communicate with family about residents health issues. I am enlisting a home health care company to intermediate. And I've seen and heard that this facilty has a large turnover on the staff. I do not think they pay them as much as other facilities in the area. With dementia patients consistency and familiarity are very important. Also be aware that unlike assisted living they have no way for resident to call for help. Like a fob or pull cord. They rely strictly on aides checking on them every 2 to 3 hours. Not like nursing home where doors are kept open. Here, they are locked and closed with entry and exit. I rely on cameras in my Mom's room so I can watch her. In my opinion it's very high priced. They keep residents out of rooms all day. So they don't have to go check on them. I sometimes tell them I will watch her on camera, if I can tell she's really tired.

I have a really hard time getting anyone to call me back or return a message. Usually, I have to leave a message at the front desk because whoever I'm trying to call has a voicemail box that is full or not accepting messages. Communication about services offered isn't great, either. My mother is in the facility, and she is not a reliable source of information so I reach out to staff to see what's going on. Or try to. It's very hard to get information and honestly quite frustrating.

Very helpful and friendly. Assisted with everything we needed. I recommend The Estates.

Food could be better. Great staff and management and decent place to stay food could be better

As a resident, I go to the restaurant in a café on a daily basis. I find that the staff are incredible and very friendly. I also find the food is good and seems to be getting better on a regular basis. As a resident for the last 2 1/2 years I find that[Name Removed]that runs the restaurant and café doesn’t incredible job. The The ( Office ) staff in everyone does incredible work. I enjoy being here in my senior years. A lot of things and much love for all the workers that are here.

The staff on the memory care unit are very caring and attentive to the needs of the residents. Food is good and service is nicely done in the dining room for every meal. Unfortunately the unit is undergoing restoration and updating which is causing some difficulties. Disrupting routine only adds to confusion for the residents and additional stress on the staff. I'm hopeful that the work will be completed soon and that it will settle back to a calm and safer environment.

Very nice place. I did like tennant’s scheduled events. I do have concerns being 3 stories high. I did like the layout of the one bedroom apartment.

We had an informative tour of the facility. They took their time and didn’t rush us. Everyone there was helpful & friendly, answering all our questions. We are considering a respite stay later in the summer.

Overall, we enjoyed the staff with exception of one nurse. The AIDS went out of their way to be helpful for [Name Removed]. The food was excellent and [Name Removed] was very picky about her food with her comments of it being very good. The room was accommodating and allowed placement of her furniture for familiarity. Aesthetics of the building were beautiful, and we were able to enjoy Christmas with Mulberry Gardens. One complaint was placement of the call button on the wall. No matter how we placed her bed, she was unable to reach it due to immobility. The call light had to be removed from the bathroom so they could place it next to her chair or bed. Communication of daily events were received from Harmony hospice.

Overall experience has been a solid 4 they've been pretty helpful and communicative. Yes I would recommend it to others not really anything to add. Was easy to move in everyone was kind and helpful

My hostess was wonderful. I felt unhurried as we talked during a delicious lunch. I think I asked the most important questions and thought the facility for the independent living section was beautiful, with many residents in the many public areas enjoying themselves. I was surprised that the residents who had any assistance, even at a low level, were in the same separate area with those who were having mental issues. It was very quiet with no one about. Not even staff. I was told anyone who wanted to leave the area would have to have someone with them, according to State law. There were not enough staff to take the residents out. My mother is a very active person who likes to be out and about at least half of the day. I don't think she'd be happy there, even though it's a lovely facility.

The staff is excellent. My dad loves the food and is fattening up a little bit. Also, he is making many friends and will probably have a girlfriend soon. lol. They are very accommodating and helped us move in very easily. When there is a problem there is always someone to help you answer a questions. It may not get solved immediately but they do there best to resolve it as quickly as possible. We are very happy with The Terraces at Lakwood!

I have a friend that has her grandmother there and was very happy with the place. The staff during the day is so loving and caring.
