My mom passed away over a year ago. She chose not to participate in meals in the dining room or the activities. Covid affected over 12 months of her stay. She had several med errors and two staff that worked nights were let go after week reported rough handling. They sprained her wrist badly.

Morningside has a partnership with INNOVAGE Pace which subsidized the cost of care once a residents funds ran low. However, about 9 months into my family member living at Morningside, the partnership expired and wasn't renewed.

I don't know what I'd do without the staff at Orchard Park. They do everything with a smile and you can tell they are passionate at what they do 10/10 recommend.

The friendliness of the staff as well as the meals and dining both get a 5+. The care services received a 4 but is gradually improving. When it come to the activities those received a 3 is gradually improving; got a new activities director in the past couple months Yes, I would recommend this community to other families and my Mother-in-law tells everyone she sees/meets that she enjoys living there and that they would love it too!

I also want to mention that Magnolia Springs was recently acquired by another company and they are working on a facility refresh and they have hired a new chef to improve the dining experience. I would recommend Magnolia Springs. They are very kind to my mother. The on-site occupational and physical rehab services are very convenient, and they do update me if there are issues my mother does not share.

I would highly suggest Barrington and would suggest they monitor the nursing staff closely if their family member is not capable of communicating effectively.

She is not especially happy with vegetables. Not cooked well in her opinion! Having trouble with where to sit. I am a friend who helped a friend find senior housing she could afford. I don't know her personal feelings about most. Yes, I would recommend this community to others but lacks a lot of info!

They could improve on having more interactions with the residents and more activities. However, based on the experience we have had, we would recommend this community to other families who may need a place for their loved ones

Basically, my mother-in-law is happy at Five Star, but she says the food is terrible and everyone there complains about how terrible the food is. But she seems happy and we're happy that she's there. But yeah, the food - according to her - is universally disliked.

I'm still very much in the adjustment stage. It's a whole new way of life for me. I had checked out several different but similar facilities. Howard Village's location was ideal for me and I liked the appearance. Was also impressed by the staff. I still am They are very efficient and caring. Also pleased by the welcome I've received from other residents.

The overall experience has been ok. There seem to loose a lot of clothing of my loved ones as well as some of her things. Nothing too major though. There are nice people working there!

I like the fact that the have so many places to walk around. It seems like they try to keep residents active and keeping busy with what they enjoy the most.

The facility has been recently renovated and looks very nice. The staff have been very responsive to our needs. The food does seem to be overcooked often.

Weekend activities would be nice, but the food is excellent. The staff is very friendly, the people around here are really nice, there's lots of stuff to do and there's always room for more

These facilities tout how busy and engaged the resident will be but I've found it's very dependent on who is working on any given day how much activity actually takes place. Overall it's a good place but the caregivers do not always abide by very clear instructions about some routines that we wanted to be followed to keep some continuity for our mother to lessen confusion. There are some that are wonderful but then - as is true everywhere- there are some that are just putting in their time. It's a hard job I am aware but they know what is required and should do it.

We liked it better the apts are bigger. People looked happy all said hello. Yes, I would recommend to others but it takes a few months to get used to this kind of living

The staff seem to come and go but the ones we've gotten to know are very friendly and upbeat and seem to genuinely care about the residents.

My mom needed to move closer to family, from Oregon to Washington, and [name removed] made the process a breeze. My mom had her questions answered in a timely fashion, including about keeping her dog with her!

We moved my 82 year old mother into an independent living apartment after my stepfather passed away. My mom is making friends and attending social functions in the common room, as well as the dining room twice a day. Thus far we haven’t had any real problems, she’s adjusting well and I’m happy that she’s not alone.

My mom stayed there for 3 weeks while we went on a trip. The communication process was a little lacking. Nobody asked me what time we were coming to check in. We got there at 8 am and had to wait and ask for help for a cart to put mom’s things on and had to ask the nurses to find out which room was hers. I also didn’t know I was supposed to bring a trash can and towels. But when I picked her up she seemed fine and we didn't have any issues after getting home. Surprisingly, it was like we had never left her. I just wish we had some sort of log that told us what she did while she was there but they apparently don’t keep those kinds of records. So I don’t know if they took her out for lunch or on any outings. And they didn’t keep track of any visitors she had. So I don’t know how she did or what she did. But my two sons told me they visited her. My oldest brought his kids to see her and sent me pictures and videos of their visit and my mom seemed so happy to see them.
