Third place I visited. Enjoyed the visit very much. Residents and staff were very friendly. A large patio at the back of the building gives 'fresh air' space--and the individual balconies seemed like a blessing for residents who are used to being outside or being close to the outdoors. Pets in the building--loved that. Dad doesn't have a pet anymore, but he does love animals. Amenities were just what we are looking for. Room was very nice and the right size. (At least I think it was.) I like the age-in-place philosophy. Trips to doctor in Akron were a possibility. Trips around the county were part of each week's activities...and Dad would enjoy that. Cheryl encouraged me to bring Dad in to visit. Overnight trial stays for him were a possibility. Overnight accommodations for guests available, too. Was encouraged to bring Dad in for a visit during mealtime to meet with residents. Information for getting VA assistance was available.

It's been a really great place. I think the activites are just fine. I don't have a lot of direct information about them. We were kind of in a crisis when we brought my brother there and it was Friday afternoon and everyone was getting ready to go home and the director stayed and helped us get set up. From the director on down everyone's been great. I think my brother likes it just fine. Like everyone else in that predicament, he wishes he could be at home but he's doing better here than any other place he's been. It's a good fit.

I would give them a 5 easily, those people are just wonderful there. They just really care about the guys and the patients and I just couldn't ask for more. I couldn't have chosen better, they've taken everything in stride, we had to do a little tweaking on the medications but we got all that straightened out and they took a lot from him but they took it all in stride. Farmington was very convinient and I was really impressed with them, they seemed to be more gentle or something. Once I got him there I realized there were so many reasons I should have chosen them in the first place had I known all the wonderful things they had. I trust them completely, they're about the nicest people that I've ever met, great people work here, they're hands on with the patients and they need that. I would recommend them to anybody.

It's very nice and very impressive but it was too big for my mother who has some mobility issues and some memory issues. I was concerned that is was just too big for her but it was very nice.

Nice place, awesome layout, a bit $$$

My mother was there for 4 years. She was very happy there. She was the first person in the memory care wing when it opened and everything was perfectly fine because she didn't have any kind of nursing needs to speak of. She just needed the supervisory enviroment. She loved the idea of having her own bathroom in her room. It was brand new and sparkly clean. Her room looked out on to the quadrangle with gardens and walkways. It was very attractive, bright, and cheery. Everything was just fine until she fell and had to go to nursing care. Also, towards the end of her stay there there began to be turnover in the staff that caused a massive breakdown in the continuity of care.

I would say the value for the money is really good and the staff seem very legitimate, like they really care about the resident. My mother-in-law really seems to like it. She likes to do the nail care, like you can get your nails done. The food is good too. They're extremely accommodating with that too. My mother-in-law has a little dog and sometimes they'll give her a little extra piece of chicken or something to take back to the dog. She thinks that's just awesome! Elmcroft sort of feels like you're walking through a really nice hotel.

I was very impressed with this home. The staff was so friendly and informative. The facility was clean, pleasantly decorated and navigable for the residents. Although the price was very reasonable, I do not think my brother can afford to live here since his income is fixed. I wish he could live here, I think he would do well here.

Mary Catherine was amazing. She went above and beyond to show me the place and make me feel at ease with this difficult transition. I think that we are going with Elmcroft, seems to be best fit for our situation

My mom has been at Isles for about 3 weeks. I think in all respects we are very pleased. My mom has told me several times that we made the right choice. The people there are very nice to her and the food is great although she complains that there is too much food. My impression from seeing her and talking to her is that she's been encouraged to do more exercising which she needs an likes to do. She is going to the game room in the afternoon and movies after dinner. She has her hair done every Thursday. Basically she's having a more full life than she has when she was living at home. From my limited experince, I think Isles is among the best. All assisted living is expensive but they're pricing is competetive and her apartment is spacious so the value is good.

It's very clean and they are very friendly. From what I'm seeing, the activities seem to work just fine. It's been a good experience. I would tell people to look into it and see if it suited them. I'm very pleased.

Very nice place. Mom was impressed. She hasn't made a decision to leave her home yet, though. She would like to see some other places to compare.

I liked Hudson Creek very much. The facility was clean and smelled clean. The enclosed garden space had nice landscaping and was peaceful and quiet. The residents looked cared for. One resident who kept joining my tour was gently redirected. All my questions about care details were answered competently. I would not hesitate to place a loved one there.

My sister has been in there a week and seems to like it a lot. She doesn't require a lot of care. They give her her meds and they've done a good job with that. They seem to be very cooperative and helpful. When she was moving in they were good about giving us things to use, like a dolly. They installed grab bars in a timely manner and are very attentive to people with greater needs, from what I can see in the hallways. My sister says their meals are good. I think they provide a good variety of things to do - shopping trips, wii bowling, bingo, card games, services on Sundays, picnics. There is a family night coming up where friends and family can go to a cook out. It's up the person if they want to participate. She's getting out and about and socialized.

The staff and the community have been very accommodating and helpful during the process. Elmcroft just met all the needs we had when looking for a community. There have been a couple of small issues with miscommunication but they are being worked out. Overall it is a good community.

It is different than a lot of other places I saw. My mother has her own room in a ranch-style home with 6 other women and a caregiver that lives there 24 hours a day. I like it because it's more like being in your own house than being in a facility-type place. It's expensive but a lot of these places are expensive. The residents get breakfast, lunch, and dinner but it's not like they can go into the fridge any time they want - they can't. There are a lot of activities but my mother doesn't take advantage them. I wish they could make it a little more personalized that way - if you're not going to take advantage of the activites then you could pay less. It's a beautiful place on 72 acres with ranch homes and two building-like facilities there. If you want a more normal, home-like experience for your parent or relative, this is the place to be.

My mom was living in an assisted living facility in Ohio & was happy but very far away from most of her family. The Ohio facility was great so I was worried that moving her to Texas & finding a comparable place for her was going to be difficult. Mom moved into Elmcroft of Bedford 2 weeks ago & so far it has been wonderful. The few minor fixes in her room were quickly taken care of. The staff (especially Stacy & Brittany) have been very helpful in answering any questions. There are numerous activities each day for the residents. The employees are always friendly and seem happy to help my mom find her way & feel at home in her new living facility.

This community is very clean, friendly, and meets the needs of my dad. There are resident pets and pets are welcome to visit. This is a fine senior community.

When I was looking for a community for my husband I was considering several factors, of which Clare Bridge offered 3 of them. The philosophy of the care services, it is a single floor that is devoted to memory care, and only 5 minutes from my house. Clare Bridge is very pretty and located in a suburban residential neighborhood, who ever designed Clare Bridge really deserves a gold star it is just wonderful. I am very pleased and would highly recommend it to anyone, in fact I already do.

My in-laws are there and I think they would give Birchwood at Canco five stars.
