Beautiful, open concept facility with central 'town square'. Calendar shows plenty to keep residents occupied, older population, low keyed environment.

As far as rating the "value" of Rittenhouse, compared to other places it is a 5, but it is still too expensive in my opinion. The two reasons I chose Rittenhouse was because it is convenient and the second was the price. They offered a discounted room rate that was quite a bit less than others I had seen. I don't really know about the activities but it seems they have quite a bit.

Robin from A Place For Mom gave me a few places to check out and that included The Talbot. I chose The Talbot on Granby because it was located close to where I worked and because it offered independent living. The Director Diane was unbelievable, I was very impressed with her. I've been to every facility looking for the right place for my loved ones and nothing's come close to Talbot's on Granby. It's unfortunate that my dad needed assisted living more than independent living. The staff was amazing and did all they could to make it work.

Dad is settling into Autumn Leaves, we enjoy this place. Since we have no other place to compare it to I think they are five star! Just from hearing what others say about other places, everything has been real good with Autumn Leaves. We found Autumn Leaves through A Place For Mom who was really friendly and helpful.

Myrtle Beach Estates was just perfect. Everything is just wonderful.

In a nutshell, the staff is very caring and accomodating. My mother-in-law selected The Forum after touring several other places, she is set up for independent living at this facility. The grounds are great, there is so much space to walk around and enjoy!

I visited Elmcroft for a Church friend whose daughter lives and works out of state and unable to get to Mi. very often. I was overwhelm how beautiful and clean and roomy the rooms were. I told my husband when I got home from the tour that we should sign up for when we need assistance this would be the place to be.

Toured this facility by myself a month ago. For an independent facility it has many nice features. Steve was extremely helpful! Because my Dad is having to place his home on the market instead of having a friend purchase the home, as he had hoped would happen in the beginning, we will need to step back a bit on the progression. This facility is one we will want to tour again.

They make the elderly feel at home. Very friendly atmosphere. My mother enjoys the outings and bingo very much.

Big high building, underground parking, indoor park with pool, payground(resort-like), walking path, Big bright windowy apts. 494 & France (may want scooter) tenants look with it, $3500-$7000 depending upon #services ($5200 +pet?)24hr Nurse and Aides, at least 45 meals included,dietician, CHOICE dining, transport, exercise equip, Therapy/OT/PT available extra, salon, wait list $4200 $4100 returnable

Of all 7 places I looked at, I could most easily picture them here. The Ex. Dir gave me the tour and he knew all the peope by name and interacted with them and it was mutual. People were talking to each other, they had great activities and it was apparent they had people at all levels of cognition. There was a "courtyard" as you came in with a desk next to the door and you could see outside, so it did not at all seem like you were locked up. They had great activities and exercize programs (they seemed to be the best of all the places)and there was another couple they looked very personable. I did not see any other couples in all the places I looked at. All on the first floor and accessible courtyard.

Great place! She liked the place but has decided that it was "too fancy" for her and would rather stay home.

The Director knew nothing of the appt. but was glad to show me around. Very nice place, but they were not medicade approved. I do have to keep that in mind. Plus there is a waiting list. She did give me a name of a nearby community who is medicade approved. All in all a good visit.

The Director was a treasure trove of information - a warm, caring person who loves her job. I loved the town setting on entering Clare Bridge. they were making popcorn and the residents were excited about that. Very calm, warm atmosphere. There are 47 residents with various levels of dementia. The bedrooms are small, and come with a bathroom and a closet. I was told most of the residents hang out in the common areas, not in their rooms, anyway. The showers are in a different room. Every day is scheduled with activities - "the gathering on steroids", as she says. The grounds are lovely - it's secure, but lots of places to walk around, and go outside. They have a team of doctors that come on site to do check ups, they have 24 hour nurses on site, and a hair dresser. They have physical therapy on site. They are very diligent about medications. It's a big facility, but I feel that Mom would be well taken care of and would love the social aspect of the place. It's like a big family.

Excellent and the memory care unit is right next door if it comes to that. All units are 1 bedroom, but everyone has space outside door to decorate or put a chair.

I think it is the best program I have seen.
