It's great! They make them feel welcome and right at home. The people that are living there are part of the sucess of it too. They're very welcoming and friendly. Wexford Place has met all of our expectations and what we were looking for. I'd highly recommend the place.

Friendliness of staff- 1 of the big draws for us, everyone with few exceptions very welcoming and friendly. Meals/dining - only true negative. Has deteriorated significantly since coming here. Probably tight budget but food very important to many of us. (Uniformly not hot and over or under spiced) Could also be staff related but servers wonderful (many students, really try hard).

Overall we had a good experience while she was here. We were pleased.

We had no complaints during her respite stay here. Mom seemed to like it and had a good experience. It seemed to be a well run facility and they did have activities for residents to participate in and she liked to do those. If she does end up needing a facility in the future we will probably come back to Senior Star. I would recommend to others looking.

It worked out great for us. Our transition was during the pandemic, and they made it east due to the circumstances. They assigned us a point person to get information and this was huge for us. This allowed better communication about my loved one. They allowed for ease of transition to assisted living. This made it even easier due to the contact person and people involved.

It’s been a year since my last review, and even with the pandemic, this place continues to provide outstanding care! Little issues with dietary were easily resolved with an email, and the responsiveness of [name removed](the healthcare RN), [name removed](the administrator), [name removed](the activity director) and [name removed](community liaison), all of the front desk staff and[name removed] have exceeded my every expectation. I’m an RN still working and totally understand the impact of the pandemic on congregate communities, but this community has successfully gone above and beyond to protect and serve its residents and their families.

My mother is at DRV. It is a place she likes and had done well. I was really drawn in by the friendliness of the staff and the way they treat resident family members as part of their extended community. Mom likes the food and we all like the ability to have dinner with her in the dining room periodically (COVID notwithstanding). I was especially impressed with how quickly management get on top of the COVID pandemic to keep residents safe. Revised practices and policies were in place before the state made its announcements. Furthermore, I like how these policies and practices evolve slightly to better meet the needs of the residents. COVID has created an environment with many challenges. Certain resident activities have restarted as appropriate, but the overall number of activities seems to be down. My only suggestion is to have more "safe" activities that will fill the void of the "unsafe" activities that have been blotted from the list. Great job staff!

My father has been at Burgundy for 2.5 years. They have been an unbelievable God-send for him after my mother passed away. The staff is amazing and go above and beyond in every aspect of life for their residents. I could not recommend Burgundy more highly!!

I toured this facility while looking for a place for my Mother. This is a very nice community and at the time that we visited, they only had the largest apartments available. My mom has some difficulty seeing and this facility was just too large for her to get around easily. The marketing director was knowledgeable and they followed up with us to see how we were doing with our search. I would recommend this community to other families.

My father's recent move-in process at Senior Star Elmore Place could not have gone smoother! His apartment is fortunately on the first floor with a great view, plenty of light and quite spacious for a one bedroom apartment, and located near the nursing station, dining room, and main entrance. The staff are extremely welcoming, caring, friendly, helpful and attentive. Assisted living services, such as transportation, laundry, cleaning and medical assistance are professionally provided. Delicious and nutritious meals with many selections and a great variety are served three times each day by a well trained dining room staff who go out of their way to help each resident. My many siblings are relieved our father, who is 93 years old, will receive the care and assisted living services that he so much deserves! We are thankful to all the staff and community of caring residents at Senior Star at Elmore Place in Davenport, Iowa.

We have both my parents here and they love it. Things just couldn't be better for both of them. They are both quite busy with all the activities they are doing. They love the food and my mom loves it because she doesn't have to think about planning the meals or cooking them. The staff is wonderful very nice and caring. The community offers different levels of care starting from independent then going to assisted living then to memory care which is extremely nice.

Wexford is simply fantastic in every way! My mom has lived there for 6 weeks and has never been happier! Food is great and it's so friendly, both the residents and employees! They keep us so informed and I feel keep a close watch on my mom to be sure she is well and eating her meals. My family feels very confident in the care that my mom is receiving! They've put a " spring back in her step"! They are so welcoming to all the visiting family members!

I have recently moved into this community and so far I am pleased with how things are going for myself. My apartment is spacious and comes with a full kitchen and extra room for my personal things. I would have to say my favorite thing about this place is the fellowship. All of the residents have been friendly and have really taken the time to make sure I feel welcome and at home. I also like that I don't have to eat alone anymore and that I am constantly surrounded by great company.

The gentlemen I had spoken to about this community was very friendly and really took his time on explaining everything and answering any questions I may have had for him. I have no complaints about this location it was just too far from my parents doctors appointments and other family members.

Burgundy Place to me seems to be very very good. The friendliness of the staff is a 5+. I think she is very impressed with the staff. All the workers seem to know everybody's name. That is just outstanding. They greet her and everybody when she is walking the halls. The only minor complaint she has had is her stove wasn't working when she moved in. When she was ready to start using it she noticed that it wasn't doing anything. She was disappointed it wasn't fixed before she moved in. They have ordered a new one and installed it yesterday. That has been her only complaint though.

I couldn't be happier with them. It's extremely clean. Everyone has been really nice to her. The food is kind of neutral. I think part of the reason why she is getting such good care is because I am on top of them, and I call and talk to the nurses all the time. We liked how homey it was, especially on the memory care.

Our mother is in the Memory Support U nit. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I'm not so sure of the activities because when I have been there, they are all doing something but when my sister goes, the residents are all sitting around. No one gets to lay in bed and they have a wonderful companion dog that my mother loves. There have been a few things misplaced and the staff has worked to rectify the situation. It is very clean and everyone is always smiling and that's not because they see me looking at them.

They are doing a very good job so far. I haven't had any complaints from my mother, she seems to enjoy the food and activities. The staff is very friendly, and the community is kept clean. They are very responsive to me and are good with communication. We chose them based on the staff here, and how friendly they were.

It's clear the staff genuinely cares about my dad and the people who live here. I have peace of mind knowing dad will be taken care of with respect, dignity and love. Thank you!
