My father's recent move-in process at Senior Star Elmore Place could not have gone smoother! His apartment is fortunately on the first floor with a great view, plenty of light and quite spacious for a one bedroom apartment, and located near the nursing station, dining room, and main entrance. The staff are extremely welcoming, caring, friendly, helpful and attentive. Assisted living services, such as transportation, laundry, cleaning and medical assistance are professionally provided. Delicious and nutritious meals with many selections and a great variety are served three times each day by a well trained dining room staff who go out of their way to help each resident. My many siblings are relieved our father, who is 93 years old, will receive the care and assisted living services that he so much deserves! We are thankful to all the staff and community of caring residents at Senior Star at Elmore Place in Davenport, Iowa.

We have both my parents here and they love it. Things just couldn't be better for both of them. They are both quite busy with all the activities they are doing. They love the food and my mom loves it because she doesn't have to think about planning the meals or cooking them. The staff is wonderful very nice and caring. The community offers different levels of care starting from independent then going to assisted living then to memory care which is extremely nice.

Wexford is simply fantastic in every way! My mom has lived there for 6 weeks and has never been happier! Food is great and it's so friendly, both the residents and employees! They keep us so informed and I feel keep a close watch on my mom to be sure she is well and eating her meals. My family feels very confident in the care that my mom is receiving! They've put a " spring back in her step"! They are so welcoming to all the visiting family members!

I have recently moved into this community and so far I am pleased with how things are going for myself. My apartment is spacious and comes with a full kitchen and extra room for my personal things. I would have to say my favorite thing about this place is the fellowship. All of the residents have been friendly and have really taken the time to make sure I feel welcome and at home. I also like that I don't have to eat alone anymore and that I am constantly surrounded by great company.

The gentlemen I had spoken to about this community was very friendly and really took his time on explaining everything and answering any questions I may have had for him. I have no complaints about this location it was just too far from my parents doctors appointments and other family members.

Burgundy Place to me seems to be very very good. The friendliness of the staff is a 5+. I think she is very impressed with the staff. All the workers seem to know everybody's name. That is just outstanding. They greet her and everybody when she is walking the halls. The only minor complaint she has had is her stove wasn't working when she moved in. When she was ready to start using it she noticed that it wasn't doing anything. She was disappointed it wasn't fixed before she moved in. They have ordered a new one and installed it yesterday. That has been her only complaint though.

I couldn't be happier with them. It's extremely clean. Everyone has been really nice to her. The food is kind of neutral. I think part of the reason why she is getting such good care is because I am on top of them, and I call and talk to the nurses all the time. We liked how homey it was, especially on the memory care.

Our mother is in the Memory Support U nit. The staff is very welcoming and helpful. I'm not so sure of the activities because when I have been there, they are all doing something but when my sister goes, the residents are all sitting around. No one gets to lay in bed and they have a wonderful companion dog that my mother loves. There have been a few things misplaced and the staff has worked to rectify the situation. It is very clean and everyone is always smiling and that's not because they see me looking at them.

They are doing a very good job so far. I haven't had any complaints from my mother, she seems to enjoy the food and activities. The staff is very friendly, and the community is kept clean. They are very responsive to me and are good with communication. We chose them based on the staff here, and how friendly they were.

It's clear the staff genuinely cares about my dad and the people who live here. I have peace of mind knowing dad will be taken care of with respect, dignity and love. Thank you!

Overall things have gone very well at Wexford Place! It's a very nice looking community, and they do a good job keeping everything looking clean and well kept. We struggled a bit initially getting her medication service set up correctly, but it all worked out eventually. The staff here are great, they are very caring and friendly, and you can really see it in the way they treat the residents. The administration have been very good as well, they respond quickly to any questions and requests you might have.

We're very happy with Dublin Retirement Village. They've gone to great lengths to help my mother adapt to her new living situation. The staff is very friendly and they make every effort to get her involved in the activities they offer. The food is very good and the residents are welcome to bring leftovers back to their apartments for other meals. She was able to bring her dog with her, which was especially important to her. The apartment is very nicely laid out and there is a good amount of storage. The grounds are well-kept and very attractive. All in all, this was a wonderful referral!

It's been very good. My father-in-law doesn't participate in anything but from what I can see it looks like they have a lot of good things. He did go to a luau and he thought that was quite fun. Overall we're very happy with it. They made it very easy. They were understanding and didn't hover. My father-in-law didn't want a lot of attention and they seemed to find that right balance between making him feel welcome and not bothering him at the same time. His apartment had new carpet, was freshly painted and very clean. Wexford Place seemed to have the best value.

Staff has been very attentive and kind. Always willing to be extra helpful. Common spaces are always clean and welcoming. Some organizational challenges getting them situated, but managed. Food is pretty good but the ordering process can be cumbersome. The quantity of styrofoam from to go meals there that they have accumulated is staggering. We recycle it.

The staff is great, always willing to help in anyway they can. The facility is a rental with no buy-in which was very attractive to me. There are some nonrefundable fees. Pets under 25 pound are allowed. In independent living there is very little care provided but if needed care is available at extra cost. They do provide emergency services and have someone on staff 24 hours a day. There are an abundance of activities, including exercise classes, art, classes, cards, game room, puzzles, etc. There is also a very good library. A beauty/barber shop is available to residents. There is a beautiful courtyard called Keller Court and a terrace on the third floor. There is entertainment at least once a week and a happy hour twice a week. There is restaurant style dining as well as a bistro for breakfast and lunch however, the dinner menu could use improvement. There is weekly transportation for shopping, to grocery stores, banks, pharmacy, etc., as well as transportation to medical appointments. The grounds are lovely and very well maintained. The facility itself consists of a few three bedroom, two bedroom and one bedroom apartments with weekly housekeeping. There is also assisted living and memory care on the village grounds in a different building with their own staff. Overall, I would say it's a wonderful place to live.

My experience was very positive. It is a beautiful facility. The staff are phenomenal. The only downside was that I was charged full rent even though I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and rehab 7 weeks. The facility was not full nor was there a waiting list. I believe that I should have received some discount. The rent was the negative. Though this may be a norm in these facilities. I thought about coming back after rehab but the cost for a one bedroom was too expensive for me. But while was there, it was a fabulous experience. And the setting was wonderful

The facility is very friendly and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. I like how informed they keep us about the going on there.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming, the room is bright and clean. The food has been inconsistent. If you don't go down immediately when they open the door for meals, it gets cold. But overall it has been a good experience.

The administrative staff at Independent Living was on top of every possible situation and communication was excellent. Also they did add the Bistro and dad loved sitting down there. The person who cooks at the bistro is an absolute excellent person who caters to everyone's individual preferences. The billing transition has been an issue from the very beginning. We also felt that sales was a little less than completely honest with us about availability in the assisted living part. Since then things have been better and I would say that people have been very attentive to him. He likes the food and especially likes Milkshake Monday. The van drivers have taken him to 2 appointments and both experiences were exceptionally good.
