Very pleased with La Siena. The care is very good, the food is excellent and the apartments are very nice. This is a beautiful place and anyone would be happy to call La Siena their home!

On over building I’d give it a five, but for the rooms I’d give it a four. They’re very friendly and welcoming, which is just the most I really have to say. The food is good. There are path ways on the grounds. Parking is a little tight.

Dad moved in 3+ years ago. Maintaining his own home became too much. His life has changed for the better! A volunteer group of residents (Welcoming Committee) got him accustomed to the facilities during the first week by accompanying him to the dining room then showing him around afterwards. Food is excellent and the salad bar is great. Sunday Brunch to die for! Housekeeping every 2 weeks. They do his bed linens and towels with the washer / dryer in his unit. The building and grounds are very well maintained. Lots of activities both in-house and that they organize and transport you to. He gave up driving because they have free transportation within 10 miles (give them a days notice). No more insurance and car maintenance for him, or worries for us. Very nice place with lots of nice people, both residents and staff. He is very happy there and we are glad he lives in a such a sociable community.

The best part of Narrows Glen is the staff members and management that make everyone feel welcome and secure. I am very pleased with the care involved with daily life for example the detail of the meal preparations and service, the chefs are the best. The responsiveness of nursing staff, you can tell they have a genuine interest in the residents and are very professional in how they conduct themselves. The aids are kind and ready to help in any way they can to assist residents. Housekeeping services are exceptional. Also the building maintenance staff are welcome to assist in a timely manor. It is apparent to family from the start that communications are open at all times with management and taking care of any concerns that arise while residing at Narrows Glen.

My dad lived here for 2 years and I have nothing but good things to say. The facility was always clean and the staff helpful and friendly. Great place.

Facility is well run. Management displays a caring attitude. Unit is very spacious and is well maintained. A full scale of activities are offered everyday. Food is top quality. Dinning room is open daily from 7am to 7pm. Assisted living is provided. Independent living is the other option. Covered secured parking is also offered. Overall this is an excellent community.

I miss my home and independence, but fortunately I did find Peninsula Del Rey, where the peace, food and the wonderful care of the staff makes my being here comfortable and pleasant. Thank you.

I really liked this place. It was important to me to have the 3 levels of care provided; I was impressed with the memory care wing when I toured it. Overall, rooms are decent size, I liked the staff, activities looked good. I liked the way they monitored meds for assisted living with computers and scanned photos. Loved the location! Beautiful grounds. Older building, but well kept. Rooms were the biggest I saw.

They really do a great job keeping everyone comfortable and entertained here! It's almost like a self-contained city, they've got so much you'd almost never need to leave! They have all kinds of on-site amenities, and I like that they a lot of activities that appeal to the intellect of the group. It feels like it has a younger crowd overall, which works well for my loved one since she is only in her early 60s. The facility itself is beautiful, and always well kept and clean. I'd definitely recommend taking a look into this place!

Beautiful community housing...more than what mother needs --not a fit.

Layout of property is especially nice having everything under one roof, yet accessible to outside parking is ideal. Also available progressive assistance great.

Just this weekend I moved my mother out of the Chateau at River's Edge and into their location at Carmichael Park. She needed more memory care and a more secure facility. I would give the Chateau at River's Edge a 5 for people who need physical care but mentally are pretty sound. For mild cognitive issues it's probably good. The caregivers are really good and I think it's probably a really good value for people who aren't dealing with cognitive issues. My mom was finding ways off the property so we very quickly escalated to 24 hour one-on-one care so it just didn't make sense for her to be there anymore. I think it's a good value as long as someone doesn't needs additional, outside assistance.

Spring Ridge was my last stop on the weeks of touring facilities. I wasn't going to go because my parents wanted a 'little house' not an apartment. I toured 9 other places, and often found that the 'little house' was either too small or simply did not exist. When I arrived at Spring Ridge and came through the front door, I knew it was the right place. It is the only community that is actually IN a neighborhood, not just off an urban street like all the rest. The difference was night and day. This included quality and knowledge of the Marketing Staff, professional look of all employees, lovely dining room with good food and great dining staff, plus apartments with more closet space than any other I saw, (as well as the 3 major CCRC's around Portland --that was a comment made by California Closets since they've installed everywhere). When I presented all the info to my parents in June, I held up the other brochures and then dropped them in the recycle bin while saying, this is the only place I saw that had people with whom I thought they might like to be friends. Spring Ridge is heads and shoulders above the others. I don't mean this disrespectfully; only that these are very personal decisions. Aesthetics are important, and cost of living is a major component. No question Spring Ridge is the top of this particular business model of retirement community in the Portland area. My parents moved in the end of August. I continue to thank Spring Ridge because the staff, service and attentiveness are amazing. With so many employees who have been there for years, sometimes decades, the level of attention and caring is top notch, from the delightful housekeepers to the maintenance staff who always arrive to help with a smile. Everyone has gone above and beyond as my parents have coped with the exhaustion of a 900 mile move from their home of 42 years. Thank you, Spring Ridge!

We've found them to be really good to work with. Compared to the other places we've looked at the value is very good. Everybody's expensive but we got a lot for our investment at there. My mother got ill and took a fall and had to be in the hospital for a bit. We hope she can return to her independent living soon. If she needs more care we would move her to the assisted living at Charbonneau.

Wow!! was my first thought when I walked into this property! It is so beautiful. John, was the marketing specialist that I worked with in arranging for my parents to move from out of state to AZ and into La Siena. I can't say enough positive things about John, he was so helpful and is such a fun person to work with! LaSiena provides so many services and special activities and events for their residents. The staff and everyone genuinely care about each and every resident. Mom and Dad adjusted well and really enjoy living at La Siena.

My mom is very happy there. We checked out 3 different places and the price of this one was right in the middle so I think it's fair. For what she's getting I don't think it's overpriced. She's in the retirement seciton but even though she's in that care part they've been very good. If she does have an issue like she wanted a little wedge for her door because she has a scooter and that was not a problem. She's embraced some of the activities. The only problem is she's not a morning person so she's having trouble going to the store because they go kind of early in the morning. I wish they had a later afternoon trip. She's happy there. She has a 2 bedroom apartment. She does take advantage of the meals which start at 8 and goes until 3:30. Then they take an hour break to reorganize for dinner which starts at 4:30 and goes until 6:30. They have coffee, water, cookies and fresh fruit out all day. The grounds are beautiful!

It is a nice community. They are staffed well enough to complete the services offered. The community is very clean. It is less expensive then comparable community, about 30% less. Overall it is a nice community that is more budget friendly for the same services provided at comparable communities.

I think it's expensive but, for the price, it's the best I ever saw. We don't use the care services, just the laundry and meals and housekeeping. It's got my mom doing zumba so how bad could it be? I think the most wonderful thing about them is that everybody on the staff is upbeat, friendly, and encouraging. It's like a 5 star hotel. The furnishings are beautiful, the rooms are beautiful - I feel so lucky!
