We have been very pleased with our experience at Grand Villa of Sarasota.

This was a very nice community. It was too big for my loved one and this was the drawback for us.

We toured with Grand Villa of Sarasota and the facility is nicely decorated and recently updated/remodeled. The apartments that we saw were a great size and very nice. We did get more of a cold feeling and we were looking for a place that was more warm and homey.

[name removed], the Executive Director of GVE, is a caring, responsive, and professional person. When I had questions and issues with my mother's situation at GVE, she made it her business to correct the issues. She is the best.

I would recommend you check the community out to see if it is a good fit for your loved one. The staff have been very good to work with. There are three meals a day in the dining for the residents and there are choices to choose from.

I would tell others that you should look at other communities and what they have to offer compared to Grand Villa, also to see if it would be a good fit for your loved one. The staff communication is very good with the family. There are three meals the community serves with two options to choose for all the meals for the residents. Some of the activities available include movies, chair exercises, outings, and more for the residents to choose from. They have a billiards table, puzzle table, and more as well.

We had an amazing tour with Brentwood at Fore Ranch, the staff were exemplary. The reason we did not choose this facility was because of the size, it was bigger and 2 stories and mom needed something smaller all on one level. We did also smell urine so it was not as clean as some of the others we had toured.

I would tell others that they led us to believe they have 24 hour medical care but they do not. They have someone there, but they are not able to care for the residents, they have to call an ambulance if there are any issues. Just make sure to read the contract carefully.

I love it here. I chose Truewood by Merrill over some other places that I was looking because of all that they offered for the price. The apartment sizes are very good. They staff is super helpful and there when I need them. I would recommend Truewood to others looking.

We toured Grand Villa of New Port Richey, its a nice repurposed hotel. The guy I spoke with was extremely helpful; he even gave me prior information I asked for while knowing that we weren't going to choose their facility. We ultimately chose another community because Grand Villa just wasn't a good fit for my loved one.

The staff are very caring and friendly at this community. This community is nice and it is in a nice and safe neighborhood. It is close to Dr. offices and other services that the residents may also need. They have activities at this community like going on walks around the community, arts and crafts activities. When a new resident moves in they make a shadow box and place it by the door of the new residents. My loved one also goes down for church in the community. They also have a few pet rabbits that they look after and an herb garden for the residents.

This community was rather large and I felt like my loved ones would be to far away from help if something were to happen. We wanted a different layout for the community my loved one would be in. The people were very kind and pleasant just not a good fit for us.

They have very good staff. They are very caring. The facilities are older and therefore making it difficult to do things that a more modern facility could do. More of a spacing issue. The food for memory care area is adequate for my loved ones needs. They provide activities but they are limited. They can go to a garden area. The staff doesn't have high turnover.

This was a very nice community and we liked it a lot . This community has limited assisted living like to a level 2.

A nice facility. It's more modern than most. It's kept clean. In the time my loved one has been there, she has acclimated well.

Grand Villa of Sarasota is newly renovated and my loved one seems happy there. he likes the staff a lot. he does participate in some of the activities and if he doesn't join in, they will take the initiative to get him out of his room. he also loves the occasional field trips they take - they usually involve ice cream and he loves ice cream.

We chose Grand Villa of Ormond Beach because of the feeling we got when we walked in, it is just a very friendly place. The staff know all the residents and their families by name. It has a very down home good feeling about it. My mother loves the food, they are chef prepared meals. We had a recent experience where my mother had a diamond ring on and it was stolen. They were exceptionally helpful in helping to work with the police and we were able to find the ring and the person who stole it. They called to tell me they were deducting some money off of her bills to help find the ring, so they were just very understanding and the communication has been great. Overall I have been very pleased with the experience.

The staff is friendly. The facilities are nice but not as clean as I would like. The medication distribution was not well managed. They provide a lot of activities. My loved one really enjoys the woman who comes in and sings and plays guitar. The meals and service in the dining room was good. The staff in their were very friendly and kind. They made sure everyone was accommodated.

Our family had an in person tour and it was just not our ideal place for our loved one and the community was just to far away.
