This facility had multiple floors and we thought that would be too confusing for our loved one as his dementia worsens. The common areas were also smaller.

I toured this community and upon first impression it was very nice. I chose another community that attracted my interest more, it also had a better location.

I did an online tour through the building and it looked okay but the community was too far for where we wanted my loved one to be.

There can be a lot of bickering and in-fighting with the resident population. There are some residents that shouldn't be in the independent living area, and the community continues to take in these residents. There was a recent change in management. There isn't a lot of variety of options of food and it seems to be a low-grade type of food. There are activities that are happening that it seems that some residents don't care for and the community continue to offer these activities.

An overall good community. My dad has gained better interaction and socialization amongst the other residents; they all look out for one another. I do feel that they are lacking in their security process. We were led to believe that there would always be a nurse or staff member nearby in case of an emergency. I'm unsure if this was misinformation or miscommunication. Through our own experience, we unfortunately found out that this may not be the case. I also think that they should expand their activities to fit the interest of all the residents, because right now they seem geared towards women. My loved one is transitioning from independent living to assisted living and wishes to have more of a variety in the things he can do there; such as, woodworking. They do offer church services, but none for the religion of my loved ones choice. I do hope that they can bring in other representatives so that every resident can participate in the religious services.

This community was much bigger than the other community that I was looking at. This community was also under construction and seemed like everyone was on top of each other. It was just too much for my loved one.

We chose The Pineapple House because of the convenient location, I thought that it was one of the best looking facilities that I saw, and I felt most comfortable here. There have been some hiccups along the way, but it is just an adjustment period. The staff members are great and all very friendly. The facility is newer, clean, and up to date. Overall, I would recommend to others looking.

Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs was our second choice. I liked that the staff were really nice, and I appreciated their honesty.

We chose Brentwood at Fore Ranch because they offered memory care and that is the type of care my dad needed. My dad had a dentist before he checked in and we were told after he moved in that it is out of their range to take him to his appointment. I would tell others if any of your appointments are not in a certain range, they will not take your loved ones there and then you have to pay to have them taken if you are unable to do so.

I am happy here and have really made some good friends. The food is hit or miss but most of the time good. Staff very helpful.

Riverview is a very nice facility. When touring, they do not take you around the actual facility, they take you to a staged area/room, I insisted on seeing the real thing. The location was too far for us.

Each unit has a very nice screened-in balcony and the apts. has a good amount of storage space. The staff is very friendly and helpful and is very close to the hospital in the area. I would recommend this community to others based on my experience.

Riverview is a very nice place but the location was just too far for us.

We hose Grand Villa because we were in a rush and they had availability and they had memory care available which had a good reputation. The room sizes at the facility were fabulous. The thing we did not like was that they do not have any place to sit outdoors, so I think they need an outdoor space for residents and visitors. Overall I would recommend them to others who are looking.
