This is definitely not for people with Alzheimer’s Disease. The parking was fine. The problem is that they advertise that they provide care for people with Alzheimer’s and Dementia, but they are not equipped to provide care for these patients.

Memory unit was a horror show--very depressing. It sorely needed renovation and I would hope never to go there again, even if it were the only place available. The apartments we saw were nice and renovated. But the majority of the common areas including the restaurant will be undergoing major renovation over the next 18 months. Too messy and too noisy--renovations were a promise--did not see them begun. Staff was very helpful.

It's not been a good experience. They say a lot of stuff but they don't deliver on it. It's been a very frustrating experience. They don't call back when they say they're going to. They promised that my mother would be involved with activities all day and there have been times when people come and she's sleeping in the middle of the day. These are big oops as far as I'm concerned. When I was there she was seated with somebody who didn't really talk to her and I asked them to correct this, to move her near someone she could interact with. They did it for one day and then she was back to sitting with this woman who was really depressing.

They lied to us about accepting Medicaid and about showers given. They are not flexible and do not return calls. .We are so glad we no longer use their services

I have not written a review for GV East since I first put my mother in there. My review at that time was good, but since visiting there recently, the facility is going downhill. It seems like the right arm doesn't know what the left one is doing with most of the staff. The administrator and business office play around alot from what I can see and do not seem to take the facility or their terrible problems seriously. I am going to write John the owner on my feeling. I pray things change for the sake of the residents that reside there.

-100 wouldn't board a rabid dog there. Husband was there less than 48 hrs and ended up in the hospital

They need more than 2 people staffing the dementia unit. It's not safe for the residents or the staff

They were great when my mom first went there, ([year removed]) then they changed management. When we went to visit her in memory care, staff had no idea where she was half the time. There was no one to let you in or out. And the rate kept getting higher.

My brother-in- law went to Pineapple House. He hated it and left after two weeks. He said it look nice on the surface but was actually horrible.

They've had a lot of change over in staff. Residents in memory care are not being well cared for, food is always served cold. Meds are not being passed to a timely fashion place is gone downhill in the last four months.

Overall experience is terrible. The community is pretty clean. Not friendly once they have for family member and $$. Quality of care. Very low. Most the staff appear to be over worked and or under qualified. Good food. Value, terrible. My mom has been there since late [date removed]. 3 trips to the hospital. Only 1 they told me about. She has spent more time at a rehab facility recovering from multiple falls then she has been in there. The last time I visited no one could find my mom's 2 pairs of shoes. No wonder she has kept falling and being injured.

All I can say is the overall experience was very disappointing… The facility needs to work on their staffing, and overall cleanliness and care of their residents :( I would Not recommend them to anyone !

The floor staff are their best asset because they try to care. They could improve by establishing rules and policies to safeguard their patients against disease so things like scabies, Covid and other worse diseases are not transferred to other patients and cause end of life like they did my Dad! They could also actually assist folks getting dressed and showering and basic life needs which is supposed to be their job. DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONE IN GRAND VILLA.

Might be okay for high functioning people needing minimal assistance, but not the place for memory care. Also, they would benefit greatly from a professional floor cleaning machine, higher level personnel administering meds and more structured laundry service.

They were nice at first but lied about rooms food everything. We had toove fast but they are giving my mom too many pills. I AM DELIVERING FOOD BECAUSE HER ANKLES WERE SO SWOLLEN SHE COULDNT WALK. WE ARE PAYING FOR A LEVEL OF HIGHER CARE AND SHE HAS TO ROLL HERSELF. THERE IS NOONE IN THE DINING ROOM THAT UNDERSTANDS HER ORDER. I WILL BE LETTING EVERONE KNOW HOW THIS IS THE WORST PLACE EVER. IVE WORKED AT THE CARLISE AND AM NOW AT COURTYARD GARDENS. I SHOULD HAVE WORKED HARDER TO GET HER SOMEWHERE ELSE. MY FAMILY DOESNT APPRECIATE BEING LIED TO. YOU SHOULD REMOVE THIS PLACE FRIM YOUR LIST. IF YOU WANT YOUR PARENT TO DIE QUICK...THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO. DID YOU KNOW THERE IS NO HEATER FOR THE POOL..NO REAL CLEANING CREW..BEDBUGS AND ROACHES. WE ARE BRINGING HER HOME. I LIKE A PLACE FOR MOM BUT YOU SHOULD EAT IN THE DINING ROOMS YOU ENDORSE AND REALLY PAY MORE ATTENTION TO DETAIL.

At first this place seemed acceptable, but when the new staff came in, the place really went down hill. Food was not to appetizing, they serve food with plastic utensils, carpets need to be changed they were so dirty, the housekeeping was very minimal, not enough attention given to residents, the staff really just wants to be left alone, and wants little to do with residents, elevator was broken, and residents were scattered in lower level, very unprofessional.

Overall experience was total crap. It is a clean facility. The director was unprofessional. Quality of care is not great - there is a prescription for PT and mom hasn't had it for 2 weeks. The meals and activities are decent. Value for cost is not good. Mom paid for 2k extra for max care and they constantly complained about too much calling. And after being assured "we will take care of her". After their head nurse did an eval, they wanted to evict her after 3 weeks. No statements until asked for multiple times. No copies of progress from PT, no statements of medical prescriptions, no copy of entry "evaluation" report. They basically stink bad. I am going to fight for my [fee removed]"community" fee. We were fooled on this place.

This applies to memory care which was far inferior to assisted living. The director we started with in memory care was very good but she resigned because administrators would not act on her recommendations to improve the situation. Just don't take your loved one there. Sadly, the new corporate ownership is only interested in money. This was not the case when my father-in-law was there, but it was a different story for my mother.

The nursing team [name removed] and [name removed] are not compassionate nor caring. The excuse given for everything gone wrong is “ this is a memory care unit.” At some point you have to take responsibility. When a chart is reviewed and there is a 40 lb. weight difference it should be a concern. According to the chart for my mother in 3 months it was noted her weight was 120 down to 111 down to 83 lbs. I know my mom was more than 83 lbs. but as a Registered Nurse you should have questioned the weight. What other discrepancies are being reported in this legal document called the medical chart?
