I would look at other places first. They have terrible turnover, and terrible communication, from the office staff up. They're just so unorganized. I'm not as happy with them as I thought I would be. The care coordinator left, the executive director left, the sales person left, the activities director left. Everybody is new. And getting used to new people is hard for older people. I feel like the turnover tells me a lot about the company too. The food is terrible. The dining room is cold, and there's no music. It feels barren and depressing. Activities have suffered since Covid. The new activities director only does bingo.

Got a rate increase within 40 days. Medication management went from $100 to $200 per month. 100% increase, that's a big deal.

We did a couple of tours here and I am glad we did as the second time here we had lunch and the food was not very good at all, we sat with the assisted living residents where my mother would be living and it was not good. They did nothing but complain about living there and the staff just left us there and did not come back to check on us. We were not impressed.

In the past 6 months they have reduced resident services to cut costs. They have taken away bread, breakfast meat, milk and juice. They have reduced Publix trips to 1 x month.

My mom was lactose intolerant. They said their dining staff and cooks could not implement those restrictions. My mom had to. She had Dementia and could not remember for 5 minutes. Medicine was not always given properly. She was in assisted living. They charge for each individual need. If you don't get your meds through their provider, it costs $[removed]+ more a month even when you provide the medicines. The flooring in the rooms was like vinyl paper. Many areas where stretched out and wrinkled, trip hazzard. Memory Care was awful. They were not giving her her meds properly at all. My mom fell and they found her outside her room sitting in the hall with a goose bump by her eye. Could not be on oxygen in memory care unless she was on hospice care, so we got her on hospice care. After her fall they sent her to the hospital, and left her room unlocked. I found a woman's purse in her room the next day and informed them about it. 2 days later, I found her 55" TV face down on her floor with the front screen cracked. The TV had not been able to be placed on her wall yet. The TV was only a year old. Then there was droplets of pee on her toilet seat like from a man. The room had again not been locked. After my mom passed after her hospital stay, Brentwood's pharmacy tried to bill us over $[removed] for meds she never ordered from them. We picked up her meds as did Hospice. Administration were awful with the exception of [name removed] in the main office. It took 9 months of calls every 2 weeks to get the TV replaced. Very very disappointed.

Mom was there for respite care for 3 weeks. She lost 11 pounds. She came home with a bruise and pressure blisters on both feet. These issues were not documented, therefore, I found out about them when I got her home. So disappointed and I will not recommend them or any home l, for that matter. I will keep her home.

To be fair, they had a lot of damage from Ian. They have repainted the building and sealed it. They are installing new windows doors in the rooms. There are two towers and 1 elevator in each tower and they are replacing them. This has been a problem because people can't do the stairs. One elevator broke a while ago and was down for about 2 months. They had to take food to them and had the fire department take people down to go to the doctors or the hospital. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. The food was better when I came but has gone down hill. The staff is great but the general manager is unresponsive. Would I recommend this to a friend? Not right now.

I wouldn't recommend this community for anyone expecting to stay more than a month or two.

Would not recommend Grand Villa Of Boynton Beach I have friends who have parents in other facilities and in general, I think other , assisted-living facilities offer more.

My loved one was briefly a resident at Grand Villa of Altamonte Springs when she had a fall and fractured her hip, she was not supervised while ambulating. She has since been in another facility with excellent supervision and has not had another fall. I would not recommend this facility to someone with more needs such as assistance with walking, dressing, bathing, etc. It is probably a good facility for a more independent person, very affordable option.

The marketing staff was awesome and amazing. The administrative staff was very inappropriate and unprofessional, avoiding eye contact, difficult to hold a conversation with, generally giving off a vibe of not wanting to be bothered with questions or concerns. Most of the leadership has been turned over. They refused to do a low sodium diet, which would be a suggested improvement. The quality of food went down hill. The residents paranoid anxiety was not overseen by staff, so many residents were worried about something made up by one resident, that sort of behavior should be overseen better.

We are not happy Grand Villa of Clearwater. The food served at breakfast, Lunch, Dinner is most of the time cold. They control most of your life.

Riverview Senior Resort is to big with not nearly enough staff and therefore they are overworked and grumpy. If they could make some improvements on hiring more staff, it would make a big impact on the overall experience.

The worst communication or should I say lack of communication ever!!! Months after the hurricane they fail to communicate when the return date will be for residents. Poor email message return and nothing posted on their facebook page. Very dissatisfied with the overall handling of the hurricane response and communication of the status of the whole situation. Letters to the families and residents should go out weekly if not at least monthly on what the hect is going on with their home. All of their belongings were put in storage - who knows of the mold status of those items. What a mess!!! For an organization this big - the regional manager should at least be doing something to keep all parties in the loop!!!

If you are looking for an independent senior apartment that supplies 3 meals a day buffet style and never checks on them to see if they show up to eat, than this is the place for you. There activities are basic and entrainment was good. Overall we felt the facility on the independent side was just collecting rent and didn't really interact with my dad.

My mom’s room had a nonfunctional bathroom fan with moldy ceiling tiles around it that had been there for longer than several days. While I was there in September the hot water failed throughout the building. There were complaints about this from unhappy residents for multiple days. The rooms are nice but the floor covering is frequently peeling, creating trip hazards. The food adequate. The staffing, management, and care provided is a significant concern. During the three years my mom lived at Brentwood, there were three different Executive Directors and the position was vacant when we removed her from the facility. On [date removed] my mother had a stroke at Brentwood in her bathroom and pushed the button on her medical alert necklace. At 5:05 my brother found our mother unattended on the the bathroom floor. An independent care manager said to me, Brentwood is good at enrolling clients into their facility but not very good at providing the necessary care.

My loved one was a resident here. When we toured we noticed that the atmosphere was beautiful and everyone seemed friendly. Our experience, however, didn't reflect that. So many things I could add. Basically, he wasn't being taken care of. His basic hygiene needs weren't even being met. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone with a loved one who needs assistance or support of any kind. Maybe for full Independent Living.

My loved one had a horrible experience here. She went outside and was left out there and got heatstroke and had to go to the hospital. I asked staff how long she was out there so we can determine what happened so it would never happen again and I never got any information from them. Then she got covid and we were told we needed to hire a nurse so that she would not come out of her room. It is a very glamorous-looking facility, but there is an underlying problem - maybe corporates. You cannot really get answers when things go wrong. We were were not happy so we moved her out of this facility.

Our tour experience with Grand Villa was horrible. We visited on a weekend, which was when we had time go as we work during the week. They didn't have a qualified person to talk to us or show us around, and their rating system of how they decide what they will charge was so incomprehensible that we left having no idea what it would cost. We just didn't have a good feeling and it may have been different if they had a qualified person there, but they did not.
