My mom is there. We are liking it very much! Things are working out very well for us. They renovated the whole building, used to be a hotel. Rooms are very spacious and laid out nicely. She gets around in the wheelchair, but she is hardly ever in her room. There are so many activities, and she has made some friends at different functions. Nurses check in a couple hours every evening. They distribute all the meds correctly and on time. We feel like she's very safe. We had to do all of this very quickly, and we found out after my mom was in that Cherry Hill was a 3 year commitment before Medicaid is accepted, which was a bit of a surprise because the other Spring Hills campus was a 2 year commitment.

My wife has been up there now for about two months. We're very pleased with The Woodmark. It's a nice place. I was able to move my wife's furniture in. There were some rough times but that's no reflection on the Woodmark. She went to a behavioral health place and now she's back. Since she's been back she's finally getting to where she's going out with the people. She eats with them and has made friends. I went in one day and she was practicing singing Christmas carols with a group. I think we're as pleased as we're every going to be. They have good medical care. They have good medical techs or nurses or whatever they are. My wife is in memory care and we're real pleased with it. I'm confident that it's the right place for her.

My dad loves it! I would give them a 5 for just about everything! I can't think of anything they should change. My dad is so happy there. He's made friends so fast and he's actually ran into someone he worked with 50 years ago. He mentioned he was taking a couple of classes. One is similar to tai chi. He goes to movies and other things - he's having a great time! He loves the food! He might actually put on some weight which is good. He was not eating right when he was living on his own. The people there are all really really nice. I can't think of one bad thing to say! Before, my dad wasn't eating well and he was lonely. Now he's making new friends and participating in activities. He likes that fact that he can literally walk out the door to the bus and there are a bunch of things in walking distance. The Breakers also has their own bus for tips and shopping and things like that.

Loved, loved this location and facility as well as Julie. It was just too expensive for us to afford once the care was added in. Would recommend it to anyone in an instant though.

Our experience working with the staff at Spring Hills has been top notch caring people from sales staff to maintenance. Sometimes there have been a few details where we had to speak up and iron out a few inconsistencies but the caregivers and the nursing staff have been very attentive to my sister who needs assistance when showering and dressing to be certain she doesn't injure herself. The rehab care there has been excellent for both my sister and brother in law. They are both doing much better than when they arrived there. The medical personnel who are seeing them have adjusted my sisters meds so she is no longer a zombie. Prior to arriving at Spring Hills she was over-medicated. She is back to being herself.

I am very impressed with the staff and the caring that the Barrington of Oakley has for my mom. She is in the right place!

When the apartment my parents wanted became available they planned a "normal" three week move from their home to Baywinde. However, Mom suffered a stroke and became hospitalized. The need to move my 93 year old father "immediately" became paramount. The staff accelerated the preparation of my parents apartment resulting in a quick and timely move. As a result, while my mother was recovering from her stroke in the hospital, my father had access to the many services and excellent staff resources at Baywinde.

The Walden Place assisted living facility located in Cortland NY. My family was very fortunate to be able to move my father into this community. With the slow decline of my mother we had time to research options that we thought would be viable in resolving our dilemma of how best to provide care for my father. We chose Walden Place over what we considered were lesser alternatives. Initially what struck me was how non-institutional and physically pleasant the facility was. The common areas are comfortable and inviting. The individual rooms or suites are clean and modern. Second was how positive and friendly the staff was. We felt very welcomed by everyone connected to Walden Place from the administrators to the maintenance staff, the care givers to the dining personnel. This has continued to be the case. Everyone is very attentive and helpful. I believe that the employees take pride in their community. I enjoy the idea of having my parent reside in a safe and positive environment. He has options for activities should he choose to participate. Medical assistance is close by and there are people to engage with. I would recommend Walden Place for your consideration

The young people who serve us in the dining room are terrific- and the chefs call me by name and if I happen to mention a dish I have enjoyed in teh past it might appear on the next week's menu. So much kindness! The Housekeeping staff- always so friendly- cheerful and helpful- I love them all. The maintenance staff- what would we do without them- and all the rest of the staff- From those who man the front desk right up to the top directors- each one so kind and caring. I am 97 and a half and I feel safe here with so many special people watching over me. Each day I have the privilege of spending a quiet, restful day in my apartment or coming out to enjoy some of the activities planned for us. Ceramics class on Tuesdays- what a joy! Cindy's craft and cooking classes- always fun- she is so kind adn helpful. The sweet treats on Sunday in the Soda Shop, the beautiful music of the Bayinde chorus, the fun and fellowship at Thursday's Happy Hour with entertainment and refreshments. Several games to choose from, the Walking Club, the special bus trips- sometimes for lunch- sometimes for shopping- the list goes on and on.

This would be the best local choice for my sister, if and when she decides to make a move. The tour was very professional, but there were no actual units available to tour. That was frustrating.

When my mother said that it was time to move from her home of 47 years and relocate closer to my family, I jumped at the chance to show her The Barrington of West Chester. She fell in love with it - and we couldn't say enough nice things about her experience there. The staff really cares about the residents - and they work very hard to make sure that everyone who lives there is comfortable and has a good time. My mother's move to The Barrington was a great move for all of us.

Very nice property, clean and well kept. The staff was very informative and helpful.

We're very pleased with the placement here from A Place for Mom and everything is going just fine.

I loved everything I saw, including the splendid view of Lake Shore and downtown from the apartment I've chosen. The amenities are great! I know I can be happy there.

The Woodmark is a wonderful place, it is completely different and much very then Brookdale Place at Valencia. They have 5 Registered Nurses that truly take care of the residents. The staff actually checks on the residents about every 2 hours or sooner. They are very well organized. They have a wellness center for the residents. They way they manage the medication is just fantastic. There is always someone to talk to, you can call 24/7 to check on your loved one and the person that answers the phone would be able to tell you what is going on without having to pass the phone to someone else. They are just a fantastic community that I would recommend to anyone.

The Renaissance is currently being remodeled, a lot of the first floor (which is the common area) is blocked off. However, they did a nice job of boarding up the areas being remodeled to contain the noise, dust, and debris. A one bedroom is priced at $2750 for independent living (as of July 2013) and they review your rate on the anniversary it can go up between 2-4% (which is in line with other facilities we've seen.) There is a one time move in fee of $1500 that goes to community maintenance costs, like an HOA. They have a library with the daily newspaper and a coffee shop. They also offer assisted living, which costs more, and an on-duty RN. If your loved one uses life alert it can be linked to the front desk so they can respond first. They clean resident's apartments and do linens and towels once a week. There is a community washer and dryer on every hall or you can hook up your own units. The rent covers every bill except for the phone, so it includes basic cable and internet access. Residents also get a continental breakfast and one meal of their choice. They are putting in a wine bar, and have a theater for movies. The café offers coffee, pastries and snacks. They also have an arts and crafts studio. The residents and staff here were both very friendly.
