Horizon Bay Memory Care was a beautiful facility with spacious, sunlit rooms and hallways. The programs they encourage families to attend are helpful. The only drawback we saw during the 10-10:30am visit was a quietness in the hallways that seemed cold, and we did not see carers walking through the area in general. All activities were well attended at that time, which may be why it was quiet. We are not planning to apply to this facility due to our parents desire to stay at Canterbury Towers.

They are amazing! They got back to me quickly on every question I had! They provided great tours for my sister and myself, as well as our mother. She was on the waiting list for a particular apartment, and they called us as soon as it was available! My mother has been able really fit in with her friends and the other residents, while still staying close to her church! They are great and we are very happy!

The Breakers at Edgewater Beach is better than I ever imagined. The staff is caring, friendly and attentive to all our needs/wants. We're looking forward to transitioning my mother in her new apartment living lifestyle and we're so glad we found The Breakers.

Our experience here has been great so far, I'd give them top marks across the board. They're a newer community, and while they're still learning in a few aspects the service is already very impressive and will only get better I'm sure.

They've been excellent! My loved one hasn't really participated in all of the activities, but they definitely offer them. They have a wonderful calendar of events and activities. It's a little more on the expensive side compared to others, but you get a lot. They are very caring for the residents. Just seeing how they interact made it feel like it wasn't a nursing home. They genuinely care for the residents, and they always have a welcoming face on when you walk in. It's been a good experience so far.

My experience started with APFM helping me with referrals to appropriate communities, explaining & answering any questions I had during the search. Our experience at Devonshire was wonderful starting with Tiffany Traczyk, Sales Counselor who was extremely patient & sensitive to the major decision my family needed to make, never making them feel pressured yet confidently guiding them through every step of the process. Jan Hutchinson, Executive Director & her entire administrative team were all supportive & available to us during the transition. I would highly recommend The Devonshire of Lisle!

I love them! I think it's wonderful, and I think they are doing a great job. What I've noticed was everyone made such a fuss over her, every time an employee would clock in on her floor they would come and introduce themself and find common ground with her. They did everthing they could to make her feel welcome, it was very comforting. She loves the food. I think they have been pretty accommodating. Whenever I call with a concern they are right on it and report back to me. One of the things I really liked is that it is a locked community and you have to be buzzed in or out.

I moved my mother into an apartment at Lake Side Vista last summer. I live 960 miles away and so had to do my search for senior housing by phone and by internet. I found that the staff at Lake Side was the most helpful while I was making the decision of whether to move Mom there and the arrangements for my Mom to move in as compared to any of the other senior housing communities I looked into. The marketing would return my calls the same day and would stay on the phone for extended periods of time answering all my questions. The helpfulness & friendliness continued after she moved in. All of the staff from the top on down are available to and patient with their residents (even the most troublesome). When repairs needed to be done, there was always a maintenance man looking into it within the hour & the repairs were always completed the same day. The residents are very secure, happy and friendly. That I believe reflects on how the staff manages the community. My mother loved her spacious apartment. She had a beautiful view of a park like setting of the next door church property. Sitting on her deck she could see deer, rabbits, and ducks close up. When the unfortunate time came that my mother died they were very caring and considerate to our family supplying meals, boxes to pack, time for us to move her things and offered a bus to take residents to her memorial. Words can not express how happy I am that my Mom had the wonderful experience of living at Lake Side Vista the last 6 months of her life!

The woodmark is just excellent. The people are just outstanding. The facility is fine, but the people are great! They have activities, and they were able to get our loved one to participate! The food is good, no complaints there. I can't really think of anything that could be improved.

We love everything about this place! They had just what we were looking for in terms of the size of the apartments, and the amenities. We requested a unit that had a balcony, and that's what we got! Everyone here is very friendly, it's a beautiful looking community, and the food and dining room are wonderful. I'd give them top marks across the board!

We can’t say enough about Walden Place and its amazing staff. Yes the facility is clean and well kept as you would expect. And there are plenty of activities for the residents to get involved in, which you would also expect. Exercise, Bible Study, Arts and Crafts, Bingo, Field Trips, Manicures and so much more. However what you may not expect is the true passion that the staff has for its residents. Our Mother recently had a doctor’s appointment, to which she needed a ride. Walden provided her with a ride, but it didn’t stop there. Her driver walked her into the doctor’s office, she didn’t need him to, but he did. Upon picking her back up, he let her know that he had to pick up a few other residents from appointments on the way back. Knowing that they would all be missing lunch, the driver had brought a copy of the lunch menu with him. Once everyone was picked up he called into Walden Place and placed everyone’s lunch orders so that they would have a hot lunch ready for them when they got “home”. That is going above and beyond. When my husband and I were out of town and Mom had to be taken to the hospital. The staff at Walden really stepped up. They called and checked on her everyday and then contact us and let us know how she was doing. When she was released, Walden Place even went to pick her up for us. Mom loves her life at Walden. She has made many new friends and tried things that she would never have tried. Her quality of life and health have increased since moving into Walden and we have the staff at Walden Place to thank. We would recommend Walden Place to anyone looking for an assisted living facility. It’s a loving caring environment that will enhance your life or the life of someone you care about.

They get a Five plus! I have seen the activities going on regularly. She loved the kid that came in and took the order for the omelettes. She loved the omelettes. They have a fine dining establishment. I can't really think of anything they could have done any better! I just think they are a five star establishment! I wish we had come sooner.

They were good, the staff was friendly and they were clean. They charge based on levels of care, and I feel like that is sort of subjective. I didn't really like it that much. They were very good however we did lose some clothing items in the laundry. They really tried to encourage her to participate in the activities. They were very accommodating. The food was very good, they had good variety, and they helped make it easy for her to eat.

We only used them for a week. It was very nice and we would use it again. Everybody seemed professional welcoming. We were happy with it. I thought it was a good value. It was clean and they were friendly.

So far they've been great! The grounds are beautiful, and the staff are all very friendly. The sales director, who gave us our tour, still stays very involved and stays in touch with my loved one and I. They just have a ton of respect for the elderly here, and it shows. I'd rate them higher than 5 on friendliness if I could! They provide everything my loved one could ask for.

This place is great! The staff are amazing. Everyone is very approachable, they really take the time to sit down with you and make your needs feel important and that they will be addressed. They provide care that ranges from independent all the way up to nursing care, and they're great about finding the best way to address individual needs. When my loved one was having some difficulties they recommended and helped us contact an in-home care service to help him get back on his feet. My loved one is really doing great here, it's nice to see him out being social, going to the movies, playing poker, etc.

They are great! They were referred by a friend and I trusted them and I'm glad that we did! She was just there for a short respite, and she had a great time while she was there.

My brother is the one who really dealt with them the most but he really liked them! He thought the staff was very helpful. Our uncle was here and was not in that long. Our aunt wasn't happy because she wanted to have things done on her schedule not taking into account that they had multiple people to care for. They did bring hospice in to help. He really liked them and got answers from them all the time and he was really appreciative to the whole staff. They were really a great help. He did not regret one minute of our uncle being there. .
