For approximately six months my brother was at Wellsprings rehab. He was a Viet Nam Marine Core Veteran. His care was substandard at best. He was suffering from a bed sore, urinary tract infections and complications from CLL. It took months to get him the proper mattress for the bed sore! Aides and nurses took over an hour to respond to his calls for help. When questioned it was always the same answer.. "we are short staffed". The aides were rude and nasty to both my brother and to his visitors. He was in a rehab but never received any rehab at all. When asked when he would receive it the answer was ..we don't know when the therapist is coming". My brother died in December 2018. I would not send my worst enemy to this place!

If I could give no stars I would, this place is horrible. I feel bad I put my dad here. The care is horrible, the dining room is horrible. Everything about this place is horrible. If you are looking for a place for a loved one stay away!

We walked in and patients were all in the lobby at 10:15 waiting for lunch. There seemed to be no life in any of them, they all seemed to be medicated. We declined the tour and left.

There is no where near adequate staffing, and the staff that is provided is not trained properly (especially to handle the memory care residents). I witnessed staff in the memory care yelling at residents, and residents were constantly falling and walking around in soiled clothing and briefs. My grandmother will not even eat the food here because it is so unappetizing; it is either under or over cooked. I have witnessed my grandfather being given another reisdent’s medications. Sometimes call lights go completely unanswered. The aids and cleaning staff are constantly complaining to my grandmother about the poor staffing and how they are forced to come into work while sick. The building is new and pretty, yes, but do not let this obscure your judgement, as the care is simply very poor. Additionally, nearly every month we have had to argue the billing because we were overcharged.

I was unimpressed during my tour of the memory care that I was interested in for my mother. There was no activities and people were just sitting around unattended. I chose another facility where the staff was more involved with memory patients.

The lobby is beautiful showcasing crystal chandeliers and a baby grand piano; however the caregivers and nursing staff are not so friendly and there is a high turnover with all. I had to move my father out of the memory care unit because his arms were bruised, feet were swollen from being on the floor all day and night and he needed to have his feet elevated at least a few hours a day or during the evening but they said, He refused. He has dementia so he needed someone to build rapport and trust. Too busy there to build rapport. I found my father soaked in urine and soiled clothing daily until I changed him. Only one caregiver was able to do so but he was very nervous there. I had to move him out as I could not continue to worry about my father having to feel nervous or agitated because the caregivers could not spend time building rapport and making him feel comfortable. Blisters from urine burning is skin, nurse did not have a thermometer to take his temp so I bought one. The monitor system they had on the wall in his room was not working, but it hung on the wall with a light on as if it were set up so when my dad fell out of bed due to a new drug that made him dizzy, he laid on the floor for over an hour without assistance. Very disturbing and stressful for me and my husband as well as my father. I moved him out and his feet are no longer swollen and the blisters have healed. The caregivers are not trained in dementia either. They are mean spirited and not the caring type that you would want to take care of your parent. It was just a paycheck to them. It was also hard to move him in, then have to move him out a year later. Be careful.

I strongly caution anyone searching for a place for their loved ones to totally do your homework before entering into any contract at Barrington of west Chester. They evaluated our mother before accepting her and assured us that they could absolutely take care of her. In addition to the monthly fee, there is a $5,000. NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. After only a couple of weeks they realized that they couldn't take care of her after all and they informed us that we had to find her another facility and, in the meantime, they required that we provide 24 hour care while she remains in their facility. We all work so we had to hire Visiting Angels which was another huge additional expense on top of what we were already paying. It was only assumed that, under circumstances, they would automatically offer to return the $5,000 deposit but they merely reminded us that it was non-refundable. An already emotional time because an absolute nightmare and created an huge financial hardship on the family. I not only would no recommend this place - I would highly warn against taking a loved one there. The facility itself is absolutely beautiful but the experience was awful. They are very under staffed.

The grounds are lovely; the public areas are both cozy (think knotty pine paneling in the library) and elegant; and I appreciate the fact that they offer an on-campus Catholic Mass on weekends. The residents we encountered there were all very friendly (I was visiting just before lunchtime, and a lot of people were out in the public areas.) That said, the apartments I saw were pretty beat-up; the appliances were old, as was the cabinetry, and I was not certain what would be updated and what was considered "move-in ready."

I visit my friend every week at Park Creek and find the quality of care lacking more and more. Stories of being roughly handled and being left to fend for oneself. Seeing staff sitting and talking on personal phones. My friends phone was also [Removed]. Her room is never vacuumed nor are the floors ever mopped. I find her room in dissaray every week and it is dirtier and dirtier. She's called for assistance and waited over an hour, several times. So disappointed in the staff and in the care. I realize these caregivers are understaffed and underpaid, so shame on the corporation who runs Park Creek. It is really going downhill fast.

Awful. Service in the dining room can take up to one hour to get a simple sandwich. Recent outbreak of stomach flu most likely due to unsanitary conditions on the dining room. For those who are suffering with the flu waiting up to 2 hours to get any food delivered to their room. Nursing is not responsive to their care.

I was not happy with this community. I was not able to speak with the staff when I would visit. They never staff available. They did not return calls when messages My mom was happy with the food. They did have some activities. I was not able to see a review of this community online. I would suggest families tour this community for the care of a loved one.

It's that time of year for another 6% increase to the monthly rental amount. Everyone goes to dinner with such a worried look. They are upset about how they will afford the rent increase. Do not go here unless you can afford the yearly increases. We have to move our mom because it has become much too costly. Let's remember there is no nursing staff at all. How can these people be so heartless and just care about the profit.

This is not a community I would recommend. Our experiences were horrible. The staff was rude and disrespectful. [Removed]. They not willing to work with anybody to help improve things around there. The memory care unit really needs some help. The head nurse was very bossy. Her things would always come up missing. There are no activities offered.

Beware! This was great when we first moved in a year ago. However, there is so much inconsistency in the nursing staff. They are definitely understaffed. Current "management" has decided to change nurses on shifts constantly. You don't have the same nurse. And, when you call to speak with a nurse, they are always "not available." Nurses are NOT passing on critical information on a resident when they should. I have become seriously concerned about their changes in "management" of nurses and other areas. They do NOT clean your room as thorough as they should. Keep a watchful eye on your monthly bill. Additional charges will be added without any reasonable explanation to hike up your cost. Explanations range from "oh maybe that charge belongs to another resident; the billing coordinator is out of the country for 3 weeks". I would definitely do extensive research on other facilities. Beware!

The administrative team is weak. Turn over is apparent, no communication, and no support to their nursing staff. Promises made in regards to the care of our loved ones obviously to get our money but no follow through. The majority of the staff are excellent, the few nurses I trust there gave me peace of mind and now they are quitting quickly as they do it all. One particular nurse was amazing. She was bubbly, warm and experienced with my loved one and others and did it all now i hear she has resigned as well. I am highly disappointed as to the lack of communication, follow thru and support. Be careful what they feed you in the beginning it is not what it seems. Look elsewhere for your loved one. Make copies of all your bills and all your payments because they will try to scam you. I heard during a visit with my loved one who resides here that some staff are recently being drug tested and background checked! So who are the people caring for our loved ones? This place is unorganized and shady. I urge you to keep searching and on your tour observe common areas, observe the dining room and observe activities. Tour at meal times to see true view of what goes on. Staffing is a joke. Don't bring your loved one here!!

Fresh fruit is nonexistent. Meals are just plain BAD!

I know all about reviews, and all about facilities... Been through it over and over now......... I have never been less optimistic and more disappointed in my life, with a facility, and this is the 5th one I have experience with. This is not a memory care facility--at all. This a 'retirement apartment complex', with meals provided, and medication dispensed by a nurse-if either are required-that is POSING as a memory care facility. Room , board, and meds is what you pay almost $7000 a month for here. Half the residents' families has been required to hire outside help just to make sure the basics are done.....now double the monthly price.....just for peace of mind. That is unacceptable! Don't expect any day to day care with the basics--hygiene, dressing, helping into and out of bed.....etc. The bare necessities required are a disgrace......In addition, they claim to have some famous chef.........I've eaten there 10 times now, and the food is not only not chef worthy, but it is insultingly bad. It's almost inedible, and my standards are low. Why? Because nobody gives a [removed]! (How would you like to have 'stewed canned tomatoes as your side vegetable dish 4 nights a week!? This is not an exaggeration). Far from half edible cuisine. Another lie we were told before 'signing". The food is nauseating, because they figure dementia residents won't know the difference. Apparently all these false promises and incompetence are justified by the offering of daily activities to the residents....... WHO CARES!... if they are doing them while sitting in their own filth. Don't want to get into more detail......but they do things like order Direct TV for the residents' rooms-with hundreds of random channels, and complicated remotes, for people who are incapable of the most basic of human daily requirements......and they expect them to understand that remote control!! Assistance with daily living help is non existent. I have to go there every day and change my loved one's diaper, over and over.....or else it will never get done.......and for the 7K a month they charge. Don't care if they just opened recently--I've heard that one before--and a solid, knowledgeable, experienced company can transgress into a new facility easily, instead of making daily excuses......This is supposed to be an experienced company, who has got everything under control. Instead, it seems as though Life Care Services is only about one apology after another, for a the things most of us take for granted--which should be FIRST on their priority list, and should never have to warrant an apology!.....and they do care about the bottom line of course--making $$. LCS....listen up.....Nobody cares what a nice library/spa you have, if her/his parent is found on the floor every morning, rolling in stool, to the surprise of the clueless staff, who would never have known if it weren't specifically pointed out to them by a family member, who should never have to feel compelled to go there and check and see every morning. A disgrace! This is not the kind of business you handle with trial and error tactics, and learn as you go. Peoples' lives are at stake-from day one! And the the residents....God bless their poor souls, can't even get the very most basic daily living care that every human being is entitled to. In pajamas, soaking wet in the dining room for breakfast, or any given meal, I would hardly call basic care. It's as sad as it is angering, and this place is already worthy of legal interaction. Do not believe what you 'hear', what you 'read', or what fancy paint, walls, new facilities, and decorations indicate...... *A facility is ONLY as good as the PEOPLE who work there.....PERIOD. And it all starts at the top. Huge mistake moving our loved one there, thinking how much better it would be than where she/he cam from. Not even close. This organization-Life Care Services, and those they hire- is/are completely delusional when it comes to what a "memory care facility" is. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear this is in fact their very first memory care center, and all their alleged experience is only with assisted living facilities--2 completely different entities. Please, check their background, and know what you're getting into before making a decision, regardless of how convenient the location might be. Thank You

Whoever their executive director is now she is very fake and standoffish. I feel she does not know what she is doing and they picked the worse person to run that community. The care seemed to be very good and the employees were very friendly. The concierge was very polite and always had a warm greeting. The nurses seem to do an okay job but not the they can do. The aides were always helpful and made sure my dad looked the best he could when he was there. The sales manager seemed like she was a nice person but also seemed as is she had an attitude sometimes. the food was always good dad never complained. The pricing was very good to me even though it would go up sometimes depending on the care dad needed.

We moved our parent into the memory unit on the second floor. The rooms are a nice size and well appointed. The reality is that the facility is grossly understaffed. Patient needs are not promptly met. Memory floor not as clean as it should be. Concerned about my parent's well being and seriously considering moving out. If going to NSP, ask a lot of questions and be careful.

This place has terrible food and smells very bad. It does not treat it's elderly and vulnerable population with any respect as they never have the elevators running properly, they do not provide decent food, and they charge random and expensive fees, which really depend on what kind of money they think they can get from you. There is no consistent pricing across the population. My mom stayed here for months on respite but found it depressing, could not eat their food, and could never get up to her apartment in less than 30 minutes as the elevators are constantly a wreck. As an independent senior, she would never want to live there. She was desperate to get out and find someplace that didn't smell and where she could eat a decent nutritious meal.
