Resident fell 3 times in a month; staff nurse was unpleasant and not helpful; quality of food was poor; administrative staff listened to complaints, but no changes were made; costs too high; facilities were clean.

I had my elderly brother in the memory unit for a 30 day respite stay. The place had a nice room for him, but the care was NOT good. When I brought him home he looked dirty, unshaven and was very sleepy, although he doesn't take meds for sleeping! I would never use this facility again! The staff starts eating the meals when brought in and I never saw them assist the patients with cutting the food, which my brother needed the help. Some of them had nails sooo long,it would seem impossible to give decent care! It's a nice facility, but be aware of the care your loved one recieves inside ??

With the meals and dining - I really don't know. I never ate there. Mom didn't complain or praise much either way. Mom only went to one painting class while she was there, but they watched tv A LOT. Paid for 2 full months when she was not even there because they said they had aging in place, rehab therapy, and hospice available when we interviewed there. A big reason we choose them. Then they would NOT let her come back after they sent her to the hospital. We tried doing everything they said. Finally, they got a new person in the office that basically told me they would never let her come back until she could get out of bed and to the toilet by herself. She was in a rehab on hospice. That was just before the next payment was due. I feel very deceived. I believe that she went downhill while she was in their care for 3 weeks. I would also not recommend anyone with diabetes and in need of help with insulin go there. 2 different times when I went to pick her up for lunch and asked for her insulin syringe to (take with me) they gave me the wrong syringe. I had to correct them. So who knows how often that happened when I wasn't there to catch it.

Do NOT let your loved one live here. This is greedy corporation that says all the right things so you will give them MONEY. They only care about money. It smells bad and the food is really BAD!! UNDERSTAFFED ALWAYS.

A peek behind the curtain! This corporation is for profit only. Educate yourself before going into Spring Hill. Staff goes into rooms anytime, items disappear and nothing is being done as Spring Hill says it will. The poor staff is always turning over due to lack of pay. Residents have to be able to care for themselves on a cognitive and mobile ability or find another facility. Our experiences with this location is. poorly run, understaffed, doctors don’t show up and no one returns calls. You physically have to fight for a parent who is paying astronomical monthly fees. No one does what they say they will!

I am disappointed and concerned about the practices at Addington Place of Stuart. Addington does not allow residents to age in place. This policy is not only disruptive but also detrimental to the well-being of the residents who require stability and continuity in their care. Additionally, the facility’s financial practices are shrouded in secrecy. This predatory approach to billing is unacceptable, especially when dealing with vulnerable individuals and their loved ones who are already under significant emotional and financial stress. The director is not only heartless and insincere but also dishonest. Their facade of compassion quickly dissolves under scrutiny, revealing a person who is more concerned with profit than the welfare of the residents. This disingenuous attitude extends to the staff, who are often treated poorly. I urge potential residents and their families to look elsewhere for a facility that truly values compassion, transparency, and ethical care.

My mother was a resident of Wellington for 7 years in independent living. At the start it was a pretty well run facility with good food and resident support. When the facility changed hands, prices went up and services were eliminated. Many examples: the annual cleaning of the apartment stopped happening; staff turnover has been constant under the new management; the food quality and service is generally poor. When my mother moved to another facility in January, after another rent increase, Wellington did not return her security deposit and nearly 5 months later still hasn't. There has simply been radio silence. If you are considering Wellington for yourself or a loved one, think twice.

I moved my parents to this location in 2022. We were happy to have them close to home but we had to move them out immediately after what they said they saw.The administrator cared more about his dog than the residents every time we wanted to voice our concerns we were told he was taking his dog out.Even his workers were laughing at him.U had no one to talk to if you had a problem only one lady in activity that was older than my mom. We had heard good things about the place but we were very disappointed about the lack of service and care so we moved them back to the property they came from. I’m not sure what happened there.

I would never recommend Addington Place to anyone. We did not have good experiences there and our mother died as a result. She was not cared for as advertised. The charges were never correct. They had very few people working on weekends, which was when our mother would typically fall as a result of no one responding to her calls. The last two weeks of her stay there, she fell twice resulting in a fractured back and then a broken hip. We and Hospice were not informed of her last fall for 24 hours when they finally tired of her screaming in pain. She succumbed to her broken hip and misery 3 weeks later, after a week's stay in the hospital and a move to another facility. There, they could only make her as comfortable as possible. Addington is only interested in filling rooms for payment. Though a few health workers were concerned, their management was not.

Horrible experience. It's great for independent living, but not assisted living. Doctors don't show up or return calls. Nurses always too busy no call backs. Rooms not vacuumed and cleaned as promised. They also screwed us out of money.

They have roaches in the apartment. The individual must be truly independent or have a private nurse.

The director of dining needs to do better. I asked about my mom’s dietary needs and I got blown off. How does this place stay in business seriously? Not to mention she was beyond rude and looked like she was too busy to take my request.

My brother inlaw who has advanced Parkinsons was in Copper Springs for a little over a month. Family was ASSURED they could care for his medical needs. Within 3 weeks it was clear this was not to true. Refused to follow through on assisting with PT exercises citing liability issues. Stopped taking him to dining hall for his meals instead leaving him in bed 24/7 having meals in his room. They brag about meals. The food was not good. One meal consisted of 2 skimpy chicken wings & small portion of veg. After a State Inspection my sister was told the facility couldn't care for her husband's needs & they needed to find another facility. The staff consists of CNA's in training. If you consider this place, talk to residents there & if you can a family member. Ask to see the State Inspection Report. BEWARE!! They do not provide adequate nursing home care as they told my sister & her husband. For the cost and the way my family was treated shame on owner/management. Don't believe the hype.

We toured Copper Springs Senior Living during our search for an Assisted Living facility for our loved one. This facility did not seem good. They are having some problems and it was obvious, even just from the tour. We decided to keep looking.

I took a tour with a professional group a couple of years ago. Staff was kind and friendly then. Facility was beautiful with good amenities. Fast forward to today. Previous staff no longer there. I visited twice for business reasons and to inquire about services. Receptionist couldn't get me out the door fast enough. Says managers are always out of office or in a meeting. Gave me what I thought was an business card for an executive director, but it was the wrong card. I got a terse response to my email of inquiry. I cannot recommend this facility to families I service because of rude treatment.

Moved our 99 year old Mom (has dementia, a fall risk & on Hospice) into Memory Care [date removed]. Mgmt said they worked w/Hospice & the residents in mem. care are checked every 2 hrs. By March Mom had fallen 3 times, one of which she was taken to the ER & req'd stitches. As a result, we decided to put a camera in her room w/mgmt's approval. Discovered then the 2 hr check WAS NOT HAPPENING -- plus other residents were wandering in & out of her room at all hrs day & night w/no staff supervision. Mgmt's solution to the 2 hr check was to put Mom in a wheelchair & leave her in the Commons Area all day long. She fell a 4th time on [date removed] in the Commons Area & had to go the ER again. At this point Hospice recommended a bed alarm to use in her bed so when she gets out of bed, an alarm goes off letting staff know. Mgmt. would not allow it because they considered the bed alarm “a restraint” which IT ABSOLUTELY IS NOT! We then gave our 30 day notice & moved Mom to a safer facility!

It was really clean. We picked this community, because it was an assisted living facility, and it looked more like an upscale house. I would tell a friend, don't do it. The doctor for the facility never showed up. My loved one was getting increasingly ill, and they did not address her symptoms.

My mother in law recently passed after spending 5 years at this facility. They provided virtually zero care and are only concerned about monthly fees. All glitz and no care behind the scenes. STAY AWAY

After touring Allegro multiple times (former name of Addington Place) and subsequently attending some social events I signed up for the waiting list, including a $5,000 fully refundable deposit. After the name change to Addington Place my wife and I attended a couple more social / sales events with the same sales woman we had been working with. Ultimately we decided to move to another Senior Living community. When I contacted this representative asking for a refund she informed me that a new company had bought Addington Place and fired her along with the other sales reps I had met. When I called the new Director, [name removed] he told me he would get me the refund but it would take some time. After stringing me along with promises like "you should have it by the end of the week" he suddenly did a 180 and told me my deposit was non-refundable, despite the contract clearly stating it was refundable. You can't believe anything these people tell you.

This place really went downhill. The previous director and head nurse were much more experienced and qualified to run the facility after they left it just kept going downhill slowly but surely! Im guessing it’s not a very good company considering they can not keep good staff. In my opinion not many there are familiar with dementia including the nurses. The director tells you they can handle care that they can not. The staff is cold they don’t want to be there and you can tell.. they have a couple people left that still care but that’s about it. You pay a lot of money for an outdated building and poor care
