My Dad is happy living here. The management has been very responsive for us in regards to any issues we’ve had. The food is excellent, it’s very well balanced and nutritious and there are plenty of options to choose from. The facility is kept very clean and housekeeping comes by to clean Dad’s room weekly. There are so many activities to participate in, everything from movies to outings. I would recommend them.

Brookdale Orchard Glen has been a great experience so far. I love that they are close by and that they have a lot to offer. It's very clean. The apartments are very nice, the staff is very helpful, and the food is very good here. I would definitely recommend this community to others.

My family is very pleased with this facility. My Step-Mother is here and the staff has been very nice as far as I know. My dad spends the most time there and says the staff has been very kind with her. I know that they have a higher amount of staff available than a few other places I had taken a look at, which was something that we really wanted. My Dad has tried the food and said it’s good. They both seem to be happy with it. The facility looks like it’s kept very clean. It looks nice and there’s never any weird smells. There are a few activities that the residents can participate in, like drawing, and they’ll even include my Dad in them. The other residents seem to be happy there as well. The building is very close to my Dad so he really likes that, he can get there in only about 5 minutes. I haven’t had a bad experience with them so far so I’m happy.

My mother liked this place alot, but thought it was too expensive. She liked the apartments but prefers to have a tub. She liked the heated pool and therapy tub. She loved the list of activities, thought they stood apart from other places.

Everything here is going well for my loved one. It is a beautiful place and everything is nice and clean, smells good, everything is nicely arranged, and the people are friendly. The staff is definitely welcoming and knowledgeable. There is a woman there, [Removed], who is amazing. She runs herself all over the place making sure she is meeting people, giving those tours, and showing them around. They also provide activities like crafts, bingo, movies, and little church services. Also, from what I’ve seen the food looks appetizing. I recommend this location to others.

We went on a tour here and my mom loved it. We were impressed with the place and the layout. There's lots of trees and a walking path for the residents. They have a lot of daily activities. The staff was nice and they answered all of our questions. They were good at following up with us. We had a deposit made but unfortunately mom changed her mind about moving just yet.

It was a lovely place the staff was helpful and answered all of my questions. They were generous with their time and attention.They had a lot to offer. But the size was a little daunting to my parents it was too much for them.

This facility is one of my favorites out of every other place we looked at. Everything happened so quickly when it came time to sign the contract. [Removed] who is the manager was pushy about getting my Father to sign the contract and she jumped through hoops to get him to sign it. I was very happy with the community in the beginning. All of the staff members seemed lovely and I was impressed. Unfortunately, there were a few problems where I should have questioned things. When we went to tour the facility, they quoted us one price and when we went to sign the contract they jumped the price up to the next level of care without explaining why. The other problem we encountered is they billed us for 2 months instead of 1. My Father and I had to remove my Mother from the facility after only 30 days and they said it was in the contract that they had to charge us for an extra month. I would recommend this facility on one stipulation. You need to slow down and know what you’re getting into with the contract. The facility is not up front with what’s in the contract.

Mom is in the memory care here and they are so fantastic, so helpful. The staff is nice, sweet and patient. We originally had her in the independent and quickly realized she needed more memory care and they made the process so seamless. They have great communication. It is so convenient for us to visit often. She is eating 3x a day with lots of options to choose from they give her a visual view before she chooses her meal. The engage her to do daily activities like uno, or bingo and they have what is called memory talk. I would recommend this community like my friends gave me rave reviews on this community.

This place was really nice and brand new. It was very impressive. The tour was nice and they answered all of my questions. It was just very big.

This is a wonderful community. My loved one gets fed well which was his biggest thing. He had come from a place where they would give you scrambled eggs and chopped up weenies for breakfast. Here, it is like you are dining at a restaurant. You come in and sit down and they give you a menu. Then they would come by and take your order. Sometime you may have to wait a little bit, but that’s ok because while you are waiting you are talking to other people. The other residents are friendly, welcoming, and there is so much diversity and relatable people. The staff goes out of their way to find out about their tenants’ likes and hobbies and they do that to help build friendships with other people have similar interests. The staff is very personable, they know me when I walk in and I only been there a handful of times. They are also very communicative. If something were to happen to my loved one they would give me a call right away to let me know. They would also tell me the actions they needed to take such as calling an ambulance or they needed to have a doctor look him over. They are very attentive and I appreciate that they will inform me when they can. It’s a very welcoming community; they have a lady there who is about 90 years old who walks around to bring welcome gifts to new residents. You walk away from this place with a very up lifted spirit. You see people moving around, working on puzzle, reading books, or talking in the cafeteria. They also have outings to the museums and movies. For activities they just had a Halloween party where they can invite their grandchildren and you see all these kids playing games. They something family orientated occasionally on holidays, which is lovely.

Parkwood Meadows was very good to us. They seemed genuinely interested in us, and looked after my loved one’s interests when I wasn’t there or the family wasn’t around. The food was good, and even though he really didn’t have the chance to participate in any of the activities, they did have a lot going on to keep the residents engaged. I definitely appreciate the care they tool with my loved one, and I’d recommend Parkwood to others.

I chose this community for my mom because it was pretty, it was the most beautiful place and not the most expensive. They are really caring and attentive to my mom. She enjoys the activities like bingo, exercise classes and band and live music entertainment. The dining area is nice and food is good, they have rocking chairs real close to her apartment. I would recommend this community.

My favorite I think of the 4 tours I took. But over Mom's budget for a private room. Otherwise it would have been perfect. Very homey and clean. The administrator that showed me around was awesome.

I checked out a few places and this one called my name. And I'm close to family. I've been meeting lots of friends so I'm fitting right in. They help coordinate rides for me when I need them. The food is OK I can choose something else if I wanted to. The caregivers are very friendly and helpful. It stays clean in here and they clean my apartment weekly. The grounds are beautiful. I would recommend this to my friends and family.

I am a regular entertainer at Adante Independent Living. I perform at over 40 senior living facilities in and around San Antonio. I can honestly say that Adante IL has the most lively and connected residents. I am also very impressed with the entire staff. Adante IL really projects a family community!

When I walked in here it automatically felt like home. Everyone we met was wonderful. The staff, the chefs, everyone was very chatty and felt comfortable. I could not ask for anyone better to help my parents. My parents have even said they haven’t met any strangers yet. The staff made the transition so easy for us. The whole thing just worked out very nicely and I couldn’t be happier with how things turned out. Everyone is just so friendly including the other residents. The facility just feels like one big hotel. My parents stay in a little cottage that has a full kitchen with an attached garage. It also includes a washer and dryer but it is unfurnished besides the major appliances. There is no maid service because that’s a service that my parents don’t need at this time. The food is good and has big portions. They offer 3 meals a day even though my dad chooses not to eat in the dining hall 3 times a day. The facility does offer activities including aerobics, a pool, workout room, and group activities. I absolutely recommend this facility to aynyone.

Ellery Arbor is a unique memory care facility. The care givers are particularly kind and outgoing to each and every resident. They actually seem to enjoy their jobs and have fun while they are working. The majority of workers, including culinary and maintenance employees, knew my husband's name within 48 hours, and reached out to help him feel welcome and safe. We searched and visited many care facilities in the area in a very short amount of time, at various times throughout the day, and found Ellery Arbor to be the friendliest facility containing the most life. The actual communities are connected by Main Street, a well-lit city street containing a soda shop, music hall, a theater and beauty salon, as well as an activity area and private dining room. Music plays throughout the day and in each courtyard area. It is unlike any other place I saw, and we have been very pleased so far.

[Removed] did a fantastic job in conducting our tour. Everything was explained perfectly including several different scenarios that may best fit our specific needs. The facilities were outstanding and could be a place one could call home. The tour was a job well done!

Very friendly clientele. Food is scrumptious. Staff is amiable and eager to please. Surroundings are comfortable and well-appointed. Apartment(ours) is roomy enough. We’ve been here since April. I think there should be more excursions – short trips to events close by, lectures and studies from the outside community. So far not much.
