Residents are beyond the level of care and when they tell families like mine that they need extra care thru an agency, they use theirs not giving families a choice.. they are a poor example and badly represent Brookdale..They also do not refund moneys, when they know they are keeping parents beyond the level of care they can provide...but will put agency in place to care for them and it is their agency...Brookdale Home Health...

After caring for my mother at home with COPD for 9 years my sister and I decided that she needed more care than we could give her. We toured the facility which was nice as well as the people. Unfortunately it wasn't until after we made our decision and our mother was moved in that we saw the facility for what it was. Care Partners was a title given to anyone who interacted with residents. Their role or job depended on the staffing needs for the day. There was only an actual RN hired and working for them 1 month out of the 3 she was there. Needless to say my mother passed away 3 months after moving into the facility [removed]. [removed] After her passing in communication with the parent company we were told that they were not responsible for her oxygen care and therefore bore no responsibility for the lack of staff being trained in assisting residents with monitoring, switching devices etc. This was at no time communicated to us prior to her move in and her doctors order for admission clearly stated COPD as her primary diagnosis and care need. Please do yourself a favor. Don't let looks deceive you. Even their write up on this website starts with how beautiful it is rather than all the amenities or types of care they can handle.

Definitely would not place a loved one here. Understaffed and staff turnover high. Food has gone downhill, but price has gone up. Cleaning is almost non-existent. Good place if your person is very independent, but if they actually require assistance, forget it. Lack of communication with the family. Extremely disappointed and looking at other facilities now.

Unfortunately, especially for my mother, our experience was the opposite of what we were told it would be. We were lead to believe that the Walnut Creek, Mansfield, facility would be able to meet my mother's needs. That did not happen. After 17 days, we had to put my mother through another move. I would suggest the administrative staff be better trained to give full disclosure of what the care givers are able to do.

Let me start off by saying that the facility is a beautiful facility but what's behind those beautiful walls are a bunch of lies!!! How can a executive director care about the residents when she doesn't care about her staff and their well being. She's rude not friendly doesn't engage with the residents on any level and has a horrible attitude with vendors doctors and any medical personnel. The maintenance guy Al is a weasel!!! It seems like he does all the Ed's dirty work!!! He's constantly telling things on the residents care staff instead he should be focused on his job by the way what is that" why is he still there? I noticed a lot of good people have been fired since this woman Rhonda has taken over!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone putting their love one there!!! They will tell you anything to get you to put your family member there!! It's all about Money!!!!! I feel sorry for the residents and staff care assistants who are already there!!!!!!

This facility use to be so great! But ever since this new company called Frontier Management took over it has went down. The new executive director Rhonda is really rude to the family members and the care staff. The maintenance guy never does anything but walk around play the guitar and gossip! The human resources lady never smiles and turns her nose up to people thinking she's all that which she's not!!!! Half the original staff has been fired for what reason I don't know because they were hard working friendly people. I wouldn't recommend anyone put Their love ones in that place.

Very lovely facility, however, don't let the appearance fool you. The front office personnel is fantastic. The community Relations Manager, Cecilia genuinely cares about the residents. The nurses, however, do not seem to share Cecilia's caring attitude. It was obvious to our family that one nurse in particular, has no clue about learning or caring about current or potential residents. They are all lumped into a bothersome chore for her. A person afflicted with Dementia of Alzheimer's cannot control the way they think or act, however, their quality of life can improve with the right memory care staff. Unfortunately Heartis Conroe is not the staff to care for your loved one. Watch out!

My mother is a resident. I am so pleased with everything and everyone I have met. There is a smile on everyones face. Always a pleasant acknowledgement. Asking my mother if there is anything she needs. Escorting residents to the dining room and then back. Hobo Jim was such a joy to see the people moving in there chairs and even a couple dancing. It is like a resort. The dining room waiters so polite. Constantly refilling glasses. Yes mam! That You don't hear. I cant say enough about the overall atmosphere. I am at ease knowing my mother is in a good safe and pleasant clean place! Thank You!

The dining experience for residents is very unsatisfactory because of the excessive amount of time it takes for a complete meal to be served. It is not unusual for it to take 1.5 hours or longer. To add insult to this situation, residents are not allowed to bring walkers, or other forms of transport, in to the dining room, making it an unsafe experience for many.

Persons in charge are not caring the staff are mean to helpless residents.some helpless are in front of fireplace all day slumped down in chair. My mother was lost in the first few days,wondered around the wrong floor,wrong side of building after leaving dining room,nobody helped. I found her, nobody had noticed that she looked afraid and lost. I was told by director family not involved in ~the plan ofcare?

BEWARE OF SALES TACTICS. I can't rate the overall fairly but, we visited late Oct but Mom not ready to move until March which I explained to sales agent over the phone in Nov. They invited her to lunch Nov 30, told her that her apt was vacant and ready and she could try it out for 90 days and move home if she didn't like it and the kicker "It was what I WANTED!!!" She is 87 and was confused by them. They pushed her into signing a lease and even wrote out the checks for her to sign. I found out, called immediately to cancel and they said I had to call corp. Called 4 days in a row, finally a call back from regional director and he refused to refund her money of over $1800, a partial month. Still fighting them. Dishonest, money hungry, needing to fill apts does not look after the best interest of residents in my opinion. Mom will NEVER step foot in a Holiday Retirement facility anywhere in the country. They lost thousands over a short term lease since she most likely would have moved there in March so we could sell her home. I'm disgusted.

I want to be fair about this but our tour fell apart before it ever began. We arrived at the specified time, walked in and we're hit by a very strong "nursing home" odor. We walked to the office and we're greeted by a sign stating "In conference, please do not disturb". We waited about ten minutes then left without talking to anyone from the facility's management team. We did have a brief discussion with a very nice resident who said he was quite happy there and we saw many other residents who seemed quite content. We also noticed a bingo game in progress and the look of the lobby was nice enough. Still, given the strong odor and lack of acknowledgment I can not imagine taking my mother there. To be fair I did receive a call the following day from the Clairmont saying they had been waiting for us but didn't see us. Did I use the wrong entrance? It's possible but I don't think so. I may set up another visit as I really do want to be fair about this.

I have lived here five years; Sunday Morning, September 21, 2014 at 6:30 am I fell in my bathroom. I pressed the emergency button Lake Worth Gardens provided, and nothing happened. No one called, no one came. After thirty minutes I crawled to my phone and called 911. EMT responded but could not gain access to my apartment, because the master key was not at the front desk. Our night security person gave the key to an aide, and he did not know the location of the aide or the key. After more than twenty minutes, the EMT Captain told his staff to open the door with axes. they did gain entry, and my door was intact. The EMT took my emergency pendant to the front desk and verified that it was not operational. I suffered a contusion to my head, and shoulder, and a badly cut lip.

This facility has decided to change its rules so that it can take away the only family that one of its disabled residents has, pair of therapy cats. Instead of finding a roommate who likes cats, it is deciding that only those residents who can afford a single room can have pets (that means no Medicaid residents). They have no heart.

Don't choose this facility. We were lied to by Director [removed] and they continually had NO RN on staff to supervise medications or the so called med techs. Activities is a laugh. We ended up calling DADS the governing agency due to medication mismanagement and poor training of staff. For which DADS cited and fined the facility for negligence. As an afterthought you are barred from using the parent company, Capitol Senior partially because they are out of state.

I pulled my family member out. We have run out of some medication, been given the wrong medicine, left out of the loop on mom's care, the list goes on and on! They have no idea what they are doing and seem to lack any common sense! The staff is unsupervised and very poorly trained. My questions about mom's dementia were met with blank stares. Its apparent that I know more than they do. They profess to be experts in memory care! How are they allowed to scam people that? My final straw was when I met the owner! She had nothing helpful to offer, just fake smiled and failed to answer my questions correctly. This person who claims to be in charge of the whole company was disgusted at the meal time and very uncomfortable around my mom and the other people there. Anywhere is better than this place.

Right now I really wouldn't recommend this place. Some of the staff has been great, but they leave as fast as they arrive. There are so many things that are not right, I wouldn't even know where to begin.. (Previously).. They hadn't given our relative a shower in over two weeks. Somehow, she got a cut on her leg. The staff bandaged it, however they didn't check it and we didn't know about it until we saw red streaks going down her leg. She ended up in ER clinic with a major infection. Her sheets weren't changed in over two weeks with drainage on them.The water in her shower still leaks on her floor, for over year now !! They say, they need to have "Corporate" OK it, Now they are saying it's in the works. I had to take it on myself to put anti skid tape down on the bathroom floor so my mom wouldn't slip and fall. She's a "fall risk" and they still leave her in the shower "unattended". We had to take pictures of things just to show the management, mainly because they are so busy they don't see everything we do as the relatives. It could be a great place if they ever get some "common sense" and see the things that need to be corrected.We tried to tell management some of the things that were wrong but it always takes them a month or so to see the things that we as family members see right away. It's just common sense things,it's not rocket science.

After contacting the facility, I soon realized how mismanaged this place truly is. No one could give me clear answers. They lied when they said they separated the levels of care. I heard from another family member visiting their loved one that they have had a big turnover in staffing. Not some place to take my dad.
