I admit at one, was offered a beverage but opted to use restroom. When I returned to the lobby, the executive director was in her office with door closed. The marketing person was off but working sat. I waited 20 mn and decided it was not the right place. My time is important, the director was out of line to keep me waiting with no explanation. Facility much too large.

I would be very cautious of this organization. They have not been honest or caring. Very rude to families and I question the care that is given. I would look elsewhere. I have first hand experience with them. I wouldn't wish that on anyone else.

New community that's very unorganized and unprofessional. The staff are loud and were using profanity at the nurses desk. Management is horrible! If you leave a message you will not get a response. I have been calling, leaving messages, I even left my name and number with the lady at the front desk and still haven't heard from anyone.

People say Renaissance looks wonderful when you tour, but it is a whole other thing to live here. I have lived here for years but not much longer. So many people have left and more are leaving. The food has gone downhill and is very greasy and boring and almost everything is fried or canned. The Personal Care Workers are always late with my pills. The New Director is awful and she is [Removed] this place. The Activities Girl and Sales Girl are awful also. All the Good Workers have been fired or left. My friend went to Wilson and Jones Hospital and the nurses told her how bad of a reputation this place has now. The things in the building break and are not fixed for weeks or months. Even light bulbs are not changed quickly. Do not move here and do not put your family here. I can not leave fast enough. What a waste, this place use to be wonderful.

This wasn't a good place at all. I would not recommend them at all. He continually feel and they were not helpful towards my husband. He is in another community now and it is like night and day.

A lot of the staff is great! The ficility owners need to change care to assissted living, not memory care! But as far as Alzheimer's and dementia care stages, they do not handle things well! My dad is combative at times, they have now given us 30 days to find him a new home!

I absolutely did not like this community at all. The community was really out dated and very bad. The apartments that they showed us I would not live there for 1 day or recommend anyone else to. The community looked really used and wore down.

Although we had an appointment they did not seem prepared for us. We walked in and there was no one there to greet us. We had to stick our head in an office and ask for someone. She then took us straight to a room without discussing anything. The hallway smelled of smoke and when we asked if it was a non-smoking facility she said yes, but that some of the residents who have lived there a long time still smoked inside even though they asked them not to. The bathroom did not have the safety features that other communities had such as seats or reinforced hand rails in the shower. When we asked about personal care, laundry, medicine management that are all included at other communities she told us they had a laundry room and outsourced the care to another company. She had to dig through a filing cabinet to find their information for us. Then instead of receiving a brochure or pamphlet to take with us, she jotted down an estimate of price on a scrap of paper. She also informed us that they charge an upfront non-refundable $4,000 fee on top of the monthly rate to cover anything that might come up. She told us they had barber shop and chapel but just pointed in the direction of them. We seemed like a bother to her and the tour was done in 10 minutes. We could not get out of there fast enough for her or for us.

Very unhappy with memory care wld not put my mother here

We did not like this place at all. It was like a ghost town. When we walked in the community we saw not one residents or staff member. It was cold and reminded me of a institution. We knew this would not be the place for us.

The quality of care is terrible. They do not have hot water for the showers. It is beautiful and pretty but it is not the best inside. They yell and scream at the residents. I would not recommend anyone here.

My mother-in-law has lived there for 9 months and simply hates the place. Very few of the services promised actually happen. They get the charges wrong, the food is inedible (confirmed by my wife) and the staff is unsupervised since there is no Dircector running the operation. Apparently this has been an ongoing issue with the place. We are now looking to find another facility. So sad since the facility has such potential but so poorly managed by the corporation. My wife has discussed the idea several times with staff but with no improvements.

I would not allow my mother to live here. We went for a visit and the woman was trying to hide every flaw we saw or give excuses. We saw care givers throwing food towels on the floor. Sweeping up towels. How lazy. We heard them telling one person to stop asking for a Cigarette . We let ourselves out very fast. Yes its a beautiful place but i wouldn't be a loving son if i allowed my parent to live there. Absolutely nothing going on.

Very disappointed in the place. Told they would provide care for my client and with in days of her moving in they said they couldn't take care of her and the only way she could stay is if she had 24/7 care from an outside source. Found out they weren't give her meds right refused yo give meds and also found out they forget to do paperwork to get her some of her meds. They tried to get her commitment to [Removed] because they didn't want her there and when told that she wouldn't be committed the refused to let her come back. So they just left her out on the street. Staff is never available can never find anyone and takes at least a half hour for them to answer call light. So would not recommend this place.

My mother had got kicked out after attemping to leave when she wasn't aware she couldn't leave. I was very disappointed with Bella Vita and their services. I feel that they screwed my out of my money after they kicked her out they still wanted me to pay for her stay after she kicked out which was crazy to me. Her first week there it was a cold week and she didn't have any heat or hot water and I expressed my concerns to the staff there and they were not very responsive to my concerns. We have since moved her into a new community due to the level of care they said she needed. I just feel that they could had been more patient with my mother I was not happy with the community at all.

My parents were not interested in this facility due to the fact that it does not have complete kitchens and the location is a problem due to planned construction in that area.

I had to move out when they allowed the resident across the hall from me to smoke in her apartment. Fumes from her smoke filled my apartment and with my breathing difficulties I suffered severe respiratory distress. My health required that I vacate my apartment immediately. The Parkwood Meadows management's attitude was "tough luck" for you. Anyone with significant respiratory difficulties should avoid Parkwood Meadows since tobacco fumes permeate the entire facility.

Stay away the Executive Director is a liar and a scam artists, she guaranteed activities, quality care, quality food and to remain accessible at all times for any questions or concerns....i've had to call her twelve times before her assistant called me back and resolved the issue at hand

My father was here for less than a week before he passed away. Within that time, a piece of equipment used to help transfer him from his bed to a chair collapsed [removed]. The incident was not documented in his record, even though my mother, who witnessed the fall, specifically asked that it be noted. The day before he passed, he was [removed] by the staff while being moved from a chair back to his bed. [removed] The following day he was transported to the hospital for breathing issues and passed. The only call we received from Emeritus was the next morning when someone contacted my mother to ask if she wanted to pay to reserve his room. No one had noticed that we had cleared his belongings out of his room the night before.

Where do I begin....Executive Director is a complete air head, unprofessional and all over the place. I was promised the moon and stars prior to moving my dad in the facility once there it was a nightmare. Director has no clue on what takes place in her own facility, more vacancies than occupants, the nurse unprofessional and dressed like a [removed], receptionists all are very ignorant, unhappy look as though the were [removed], private caregivers hang out gossiping about how the place sucks, food is low quality need I say more.......moved dad out after 10 days of this hellish place
