Lakeshore Estates is a great place for my dad because they offer cottages apart from the main building. That makes him feel a little bit more independent. Many staff are great. [name removed] is excellent and caring as is [name removed]. Thank you, [name removed]?, for phoning with updates to the situation. I really appreciate it. My only complaint about Lakeshore Estates is the way they serve meals. Some meals I’ve had with my dad have taken two hours. If one is late, you miss out on the course they served before and it is not that the servers wouldn’t like to get you caught up but the system of serving gives them no time to do so. This meal system makes some appointments outside the building difficult. I would say that the food they serve is good when I have attended. I really appreciate the work during the current pandemic. Feeding residents in their apartments and limiting outside visitors. Thank you for caring about the residents health.

The staff seem to genuinely care for and know each resident and their needs pretty well. It is amazing to me how the managers and staff keep the residents and their families all straight. The chef has done a tremendous job in consistently providing safe nourishing meals and making special requests when possible. The only reason for not having 5 stars is I do think the place could use a little facelift and offer a few new activities once the virus has passed. Suggestions would be small gardening projects ( like repotting plants), small dog visitors ( dog therapy), and inviting volunteers to play instruments in the lobby before or after meals.

Great place, but response to small but needed maintenance to apartment extremely slow. Multiple requests often required. Executive director responsive, but should be last resort to get simple requests done.

A very “homey” place to live, with a beautiful forested yard. The plan allows interior walking in rain or summer heat. The assistants all have the best attitude and take great care of the residents. An oasis in in a large growing city, it is a friendly place away from the hubbub, for comfortable elder living.

I have lived at Prairie Rose for 2 years and 8 months. I love my apartment and the people who live here. This year has been difficult, but we have muddled through with our combined strength. I would certainly recommend Prairie Rose Independent Living to anyone.

The staff here really tries their best. However, like any other business, there is room for Improvement. I, for one, understand the predicament due to the coronavirus so my philosophy is, “it is what it is” and I do my best. I know this will all come to an end, not too soon for me, however, I will survive. This is my “general opinion“ And a detailed opinion, I feel, is not what you really want..., Too cumbersome. Our staff is both professional and personal. They care about us and want us to feel at home, and they do their best to answer our concerns. Their performance during the pandemic has been totally dedicated to our needs. The food needs a great deal of help!

Nice facility, manicured, well maintained and management team are great! Very willing to help in anyway. Maintenance is great! On a scale of 1 - 5, I would give the food a #2 for overall service. The hot food is cold, not enough green vegetables, too many carbs and not enough protein. Rent is too high! Parking space could be improved.

I love living here with all the friends I have made. Just wish our apartment was not so small for the price we pay. I would and have recommended this place to friends.

The food is not good but the service is nice.

Enjoy having my pet with me. Enjoy the lighthouse keeping. Meals are mostly good. Sandwiches are a very weak area. Wish they could be chef salad every day as extra option.

Well maintained inside and out. Staff is super now that manager [name removed] is gone. They have done an amazing job through the whole virus for 2 months. Some improvements are needed for meals.

Enjoy living here just wish we could ride out around the lake and see the deer. Like the food and enjoy seeing my wife have fun playing games and bingo — would recommend to my friends.
