This is a pretty nice community, and my tour of it went pretty well. The community looked nice from what I was shown. Everything appeared to be clean. The staff I came across was friendly. Everything went well, but I did find a smaller community that suited our needs better.

Heartis Waco is a beautiful and inviting community. My Mom is there right now, my Dad is in the hospital but will be joining her soon. The staff is very friendly and caring. I have dined there with my Mom and the food is very good, well balanced with lots of choices. They provide a lot of activities in and outside the community. They try to encourage my mom to participate but she is not up to it yet. We are hoping that as she gets more acclimated she will join in some of them. They do have entertainment for the residents to enjoy. Their room is really nice and they have a patio outside their room to enjoy the fresh air. I really love the way the community is so well kept.

It's only been a few weeks since mom and dad have moved in so they are still in the process of adjusting and settling in. They seem to be comfortable in their 2 bedroom apartment. The community is extremely well kept the landscaping is very nice. The area where the community is located is good and is close to public transportation if needed.Due to the fact, my parents are still adjusting they haven't really had an opportunity to go to any activities or very little I think mom went the to happy hour and bingo. They love the food, in fact, each one of them is gaining a little weight.

I have no complaints about the tour I had at this community for my mother. The staff where on time to our appointment and made sure to answer any questions we had for them in detail. I thought they did a good job maintaining the building and all of the bedrooms as well as common areas where kept clean. It was just not the right fit for my mom in the end decision.

This is a very nice community, and so far everything is working out well for my mother with her move here. My only concern has been The Orchard Assisted Living has been brought by another organization. So there is some changes happening at the moment. However the changes have not affected the care they are providing my mother with. They do a good job with the cleanliness around the community. They provide good meals, and nice activities for the residents. It is a community I would recommend.
