This is a really good place for mother. She doesn't want to be here, but she acknowledges that they are good to her and do all they can to help her enjoy it.

We had an excellent experience in your facility. We never had any complaints staff was super friendly place was always clean the menu could’ve been changed up a bit periodically but other than that we had a great experience. Thank you

Things were a bit rocky when my father first moved in. They had removed the hard wood floors and replaced them with carpet without telling us. We spent $6,000.00 having hard wood put back in. While they do take care of maintenance, the staff is somewhat marginal. My father and other independent living folks need to stay on top of the staff to get things repaired. Despite those two things, The Brennity has been good for my father. He is developing new friendships and I think he feels secure there. The cottages are nice and the clubhouse where they share their meals is nicely kept. Despite the couple of negatives, I think the Brennity is a great independent living facility.

Wish food wad better.,.It had gone downhill since I moved in 10 months ago. Hope new owner will make some changes. Haven’t had frozen yogurt for nearly a month. Ice cream selections limited for weeks. Staff great, servers wonderful, aintenance incredably helpful. Don’t participate much in activities but personal choice.

My mother really likes it here. No steps, no stress. Very clean. Meals are not fancy, but wholesome. She wishes the activities would be a little more diverse. She says they either do music or cards and not much more. Otherwise she is very content.

Super friendly staff, great amenities! Facility and apartments need some updating. Not in my parents budget

This place is right on the lake. Nice size appartments, but limit on size of dogs, like 22-23 lbs. Tipsy is like 47 lbs. This used to be Brookdale, so don't know what they have in mind for the future.

Very pleasant, well kept. Every area looked and smelled clean and fresh. Apartments were adequate size, modern, good, natural light. Many amenities, diverse community. Excellant activities roster. Disappointed by assisted living plan which is based more on single occupant rather than couples arrangement. Independent living situation more suited to regular style living. Additional nursing care must be obtained by residents. In short it would be more desirable for someone looking for a healthy couple looking to downsize, not have to cook or maintain property or drive. Not a good fit for a couple with health problems who need nursing staff for an hour or two a day, could obtain that outside the community in any 55 and over senior living community for less money. Did like the progressive care option,however, ability to go from independent to assisted living to memory care in same community. Dream place for a single resident. Prices were good because they were offering a temporary special. Actual prices were comparable to other facilities

Beautiful facility. Very new and fresh. Clean & friendly atmosphere. Thorough tour with full detail of what to expect. A little too much after visit contact. I received a call, postcard and letter within 2 days of visiting. I appreciate checking.

Nice older independent living/assisted living property with considerable charm. Larger size units and very friendly staff and residents. Units include full kitchen. Pricing includes "Lively" device similar to Life Alert. Level of care pricing separate ranging from $600/mo. to $1,650/mo. Will definitely consider as one of our options.

We toured and liked the setting, however it does not have a Memory Care option and rooms are very small. Not in our top 3.

Room 149 was the best option, but still viewed parking lot. Greeted warmly by staff and residents. Meals seemed good with plenty of options. Main doors opened with a push of a button which was nice. Pet deposit and scooter deposit were higher than other places toured...this was the first place with a scooter deposit.

We will be moving my dad into this facility. In-house physical therapy and exercise classes 6 days a week made the difference. [Name removed] worked with us very closely.

Nice place in a good area. Nice wide halls. Nice and quiet. Library, bistro, dining room, private dining room, activities room. Good open areas and good outdoor courtyard. Apartments are small though. Microwave and small refrigerator in kitchen area of apartment.

The exterior of the facility needed some TLC. The staff were friendly and the place seemed nice. I feel it is over priced compared to other places in the area.

Distance / Has a lot of special needs...housekeeping, shopping provided, laundry, memory care

I recently moved a parent into a 1 bedroom apartment in the Independent Living section. So far, I've only heard a couple of minor complaints from my parent and one isn't the fault of the facility. The neighbor above makes loud pounding sounds at odd hours such as early morning. The a/c works great, but the vents are so loud that you must adjust the volume of your t.v. when the a/c comes on. My parent commented that the food selection is adequate. I wouldn't say it's 'restaurant quality', but it's not bad, either. I have tried it. Staff all seem very friendly and attentive. It's not an inexpensive place, but I think the monthly cost is in line with most similar facilities.

It's hard to know how to rate Heartis Amarillo. We toured very early in the morning. We saw only 2 employees. While they were not particularly friendly, they were not unfriendly. The sales manager didn't offer anything but answered all of our questions fully & without hesitation. It's a good thing that we knew what questions to ask. We saw only 2 residents. They seemed happy & content. The facility itself is super nice. Wish that they had a brochure that we could take home for reference & study. Know people personally with family living there & understand there is frequent staff turnover. All in all, I would feel comfortable having my Mother living there.

Took tour with [name removed]. She was friendly and answered all questions. Facility was clean and neat. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Pool is being redone. Wish exercise room was separate from the activities/game room. 1 bedroom rooms seemed spacious, plenty of storage, and they have updated appliances being installed. Grounds are very nice, and seem to be well maintained. Laundry rooms on each floor look well maintained. Tornado shelters are in the stairwells. Spoke to a couple residents and they seemed to like it there.
