I made an appointment to come and tour here. When I showed up they didn't know I was supposed to be there. They weren't as friendly or as clean as some of the other places I checked out. They weren't great, but not terrible either.

Nobody is perfect, they could be a little better. I think the caregivers need more training with memory care needs. Most of them are pretty compassionate, but there are those that maybe shouldn't be caregivers. For the most part they are pretty good, I was expecting a little more because it's memory care. They are not all C.N.A's here. The food is pretty good. I liked that it was smaller. The people up front, were really friendly and nice.

They did not have a welcoming feel to the place in my opinion. The rooms felt dark and formal. The bathroom vanity was tall, not friendly to a wheelchair resident. The person giving the tour seemed surprised when I pointed that out. They were very matter of fact and did not seem to care if we were interested or not in their facility.

I enjoyed my visit to this facility. The population appeared to be more diverse (in age, health, and race). The Executive Director, Brandon Stephens, is relatively new and seems to still be excited about his new responsibility. Meals are not served on a strict schedule, and the dining experience appeared to be pleasant for those who were in attendance during my visit. Everything was in line with my top 2 picks (Atria of Buckhead and Merrill Gardens at Dunwoody), but one thing bothered me during the visit, and an additional opportunity came to mind later. During the visit, it was VERY obvious that the carpet was stained. Brandon proposed that the stains in the dining area were wine stains and that carpet in that area and other areas of the building had not been treated and/or cleaned properly in the past. From my perspective, a visitor seeking a place for a parent to call home, the carpet had been neglected, and it caused me to question other less obvious maintenance issues that may exist. The opportunity that came to mind after my visit was the number of vacant rooms that had yet to be 'turned,' and that were in disarray. There were tripping hazards in the rooms, and the rooms were not locked. At least one (1) room did not have a doorknob. I fear what could happen if a member of the community wandered into the area and suffered a fall and/or injury. I was told that they were well below capacity as a result of vacanies that occurred during renovations, so I can't understand the delay in turning the rooms and/or at least cleaning and clearing them. Brandon shared that Brighton staffs more caregivers per person than the state requires. I wonder if they attempt to make up for that by lowering their standard for maintenance. I still like the community, but I would not feel comfortable choosing it for my father while it is in the current condition. I was assured that they carpet would be cleaned and/or replaced within a short timeframe, but I can't understand even that short delay...

Reminded me of a remodeled high-end hotel. They could provide whatever you like, for a fee. Smaller community - max of 66 residents. In nice neighborhood. Close to shopping, entertainment and hospitals. No kitchenettes, only medium sized refrigerator in room.

Legacy Ridge at Peachtree was okay, except there was not enough diversity. I was shocked by the conversations we were trying to have with the director, who didn’t have any information on diversity/inclusion of black/brown people in the facility when we asked about it. They just need to be more educated, especially somebody at the director level.

The staff is nice but are overworked, they aren't able to keep up with everything but they are doing best they can to attend to the residents, however the aids were very good to our loved one. The food served at this community was fine. The layout was okay, and the rooms were about adequate in size.

My Mother was a resident here for 22 days. It is a very nice facility but terribly understaffed and not always as clean as it should be. Residents roam in and out of the rooms . Several items belonging to my Mother disappeared and were never returned.

The sales staff was super helpful and accommodating with a short time frame before my mother was released from her rehab facility. That is where the good ended unfortunately. My mother did not participate in activities as she was only there for just over 1 week before going back to the hospital for a raging UTI. Communication overall was very challenging to get ahold of anyone. Not sure if they were short staffed but if you give a new resident a way to beep for assistance you would expect a timely response. Even after being told their expectation and shared with my mother they didn't meet even what they said. My mother was to have surgery and meds were to be stopped. Paperwork was provided and they were informed however they still gave meds so surgery had to be cancelled last minute. Once I was able to speak with them on a number of occasions so I understood clear expectations they always said the right thing but did not follow through. The facility itself was lovely. Unfortunately due to all of the issues and errors my family determined that my mother would not return. On top of this we continued to get bills from their pharmacy as they never told them to quit sending her meds. I called the pharmacy a number of times and attempted to get ahold of [name removed] the director at Colonnade but it was to no avail. She was not going to pay for something she did not receive because they (Colonnade) didn't communicate that she was in the hospital and they didn't need the meds.

It was a very rushed procedure as the rehab facility cut him loose faster than we thought and wanted him to have 24 hr care. But Forest heights assisted living doesn't provide that. At the last minute they told me I'd have to hire someone or stay with him. I had already paid [amount removed] for entry fee plus one month. There was no way I could hire someone with a few hours notice. So I had to bring him home instead. They would only refund half the monthly fee. And it was 2 weeks before they would do that. No one bothered to call back or see how they could help. It's a lovely facility but just not for him at this time.

My best friend is in the Oaks and has been there for 4 days when I got there her bag had not been unpacked. She came from the hospital. Which meant none of her personal hygiene stuff had been used. There were no signs of a tooth brush, toothpaste, hair brush, lotion, lip moisturizer, cell phone! Nothing had been used! No signs of her being turned. The lady in her room said no one had come in to turn her! She can’t roll over, feed herself or walk! The place smelled terrible of urine!!! And the floors were filthy!!! If we could afford to go somewhere else we would. I work and wasn’t able to accompany her on her move from the hospital. The staff seemed overwhelmed.

I am very disappointed in Pruitt Place. They changed directors three times in three months therefore the staff has no leadership. If a resident is not self sufficient, it is very dangerous for them to live at Pruitt. There is little to no assistance. Most of the CNAs remaining are really good people that are extremely over worked.

1) Management doesnt respond to concerns unless it's in their interest. Does not respond to emails or phone calls, however lower level personnel usually respond. 2) Management appears to prioritize financial objectives over the best interest of the occupant. 3) The Memory Care Unit is horrible. It desperately needs to be updated with newer furniture as the existing decor looks like it was procured from a thrift store. 3) MC staff exhibited minimal interaction with the residents. Usually one person sitting in the back of the room telling the residents to stay seated - I observed no activities during my visits and multiple people asleep with their heads on pillows seated at the kitchen table. 4) I had multiple visits to the MC unit where there was no staff present to oversee the residents. 5) My mother was basically unsupervised while in the AL portion of the facility at night. This makes no sense since the initial objective of this arrangement was mitigate the fall risk. Not sure I understand unless the objective was to either get rid of her because they couldn't meet her needs or they wanted to keep her monthly payments coming. 6) Absolutely no security in this place. The front desk is a joke -anyone can walk in and have the run of the place. 7) No effort to coordinate with the various caregivers (Nurse, PT, occupational therapist, etc) to formulate a care plan for those that need it. When I asked about this no satisfactory answer except awesome people want to make us look bad and you need to utilize our caregivers 8) Management and most of the staff will go out of their way to avoid you during a visit - strange! This facility can be so much more than it is - what a shame. We now have my mother in facility where they put the residents first - what a change.

My loved one was previously a resident at Legacy Ridge at Sandy Plains and our experience at this facility was not very good. The cleanliness, care services, activities and value for cost were poor. The friendliness was okay. The food was good. My main concern was the staff, they had A LOT of turnover with the staff. I would not recommend Legacy Ridge at Sandy Plains to others.
