Provision Living

The caregivers were excellent - really top notch and really cared about my mom. Their hearts were really in the right place. Communication really is a problem - getting back to families promptly and being able to get a hold of the right people is difficult. They do not respond to emails very well. It is also a lot of leaving messages for them on the phone and they would get back to us whenever they had time.

It was a beautiful facility. We were there for an hour, waiting on someone to provide information. It was a lovely site but wasn't a good fit for my loved one.

So far I am not unhappy with the experience with the community. The staff are good to work with if the family has questions or concerns about our loved one. There are three meals a day served to the residents and there are options to choose from. Some of the activities, include shopping, meals out in the community, entertainment, and more for the residents to engage with. Provision Living has ways to monitor the residents in their room and this is very innovative to create a baseline activity reading. The residents are allowed to have pets as long as the residents are able to care for their pets.

Our experience was limited to the transition period which is always more difficult than expected by the acquiring business. However they tried hard to communicate and keep everything running smoothly I do think the facility needs to train the staff in regards to working with hospice patients due to the minimal medical staff it was tough to keep my Mom comfortable in her final days. Miss [name removed] and Miss [name removed] and [name removed] took great care of my Mom. Tough Jobs. I give [name removed] and her staff kudos for all they do. I would definitely recommend this facility.

There were a few deciding factors that went in to choosing The Grande for our loved ones - the cost for two was good. The community has very spacious rooms and nice sized hallways. The appearance is attractive with great big areas. Even though our loved one does not participate in the activities they have plenty of things to do. They could work to improve their staffing team with the actual aids, not the nurses but the aids.

We thought The Sheridan at Laumeier Park was very nice. They were very confident they would be able to help my loved one. But without a Hoyer lift, I don't think they would have been able to meet her care needs. So the atmosphere and facility I would rate a 5. But the honesty of their personnel I would rate a 3. It looked like a place that can do wonders for independent individuals though.

This is a good place to live. There is a shortage of staff currently; however, this is everywhere. The communication with the staff is good if I have questions. The food is okay most of the time for my friend.

The cleanliness of Provisions is a big plus, that really stood out to us. Also another thing that stood out to us was the friendliness of the people our loved one has have been able to meet and see everyday. The environment is very nice and welcoming. They are getting more and more activities so that is improving.

Provision Living is a new community, so people are moving in little by little, and they've had some growing pains as they handle the challenge of adjusting staffing levels as new residents move in. Nothing negative - that's just part of a new and growing community. But all in all, from what I can tell, they really care about the residents there. They really try their best to keep them included and active. They have a great therapy staff there that has done some really great work with my loved one personally. They go out of their way, are very caring, and are very good with all of the residents. When they first opened, the food was really good. They've had some changes in the cooks since then. Most of the time the food is still very good, but the biggest complaint is not having enough soft food that can be chewed more easily, which is very important for residents of a more advanced age. It seems like a really good community, and in terms of people with different levels of health and ability, they do their best to keep everybody included, which I think is really important. I typically email the staff with any questions or concerns, and I usually receive an email or phone call right back. Sometimes they pick up the phone and call me first, of their own accord. Another thing that's important to know, with all of the restrictions easing up, is they're opening up more and more. We're now seeing the music and activities again that really make the residents happy. I like that there's a real community feel there, were you can develop close relationships with others.

This is a fairly new, attractive facility. By far, they have the best shared living space -- two identical bedrooms opening to a foyer with a shared bath, instead of two residents sharing a single room. (Naturally, there was a waiting list for these rooms, which ran about $1,000 less per month.) I liked the GPS trackers residents wore (like a watch). As they were having a staff meeting (for both assisted living and memory care staff), it was hard to gauge how much staff was dedicated to memory care. The facility director seemed to have lots of energy. Costs were mid-range.

Drab appearance

The staff are good, caring and attentive. The activities are still a work in progress, however they have started to offer a few. The community is beautiful and the food is good. I would recommend this community.

I have no complaints about the tour I had taken of this community for my loved one. The staff where very friendly and seemed to have a good group of employees put together for the residents. The facility is brand new and I just wanted something a little more established for my loved one.

If they improve with new owner, then probably yes, I would recommend. My biggest concern is lack of staff. But they have a new owner & a new name, [name removed], Senior Living. Not sure if or when we would move my loved one.

A month ago when my brother arrived, I would have given a 2, but the new Executive Manager is making positive changes, so I give it a 3. My brother is in memory care. Be mindful of how often the staff calls about falls. We get calls almost daily so what changes are being facilitated to prevent falling? Also, if you're able, do you loved one's laundry so they get their own clothes back.

The care is terrible. It sometimes takes 30-60 minutes before they respond to my sister's pendant. Meals are NOT prepared by a chef. & meals are Not very good. There is no wheelchair ramp from the sidewalk to the driveway. It says you can adjust your own thermostat. Not true, you can only adjust it up or down 3 degrees. Brochure says new residents will have a welcome team assigned to help them adjust. It did not happen. Room size is good. Often my loved one will buzz 8:30-9am & they won't get her up until 10am. Same issues when buzzing to go to bed. Schedules: shower, wake up, bed time, laundry, sheet changes are not adhered to. Management are nice. But management told me one thing about payment due & then the invoice I got from business office was higher.

My mother was only there for 8 days before she passed so I have limited knowledge. The administrative staff seemed disorganized and there was a gap in communication between the sales manager and the business manager. I agreed to something's with sales, but when the bill came, I had to personally walk through it with business. These were people on site, by the way. They also didn't nickel and dime you regarding service. You paid for the room and level of care which included med management. Much better than other facilities I visited.

The cleanliness of the common area is a 5, but our loved ones room would get a 3/5. We plan to address their attentiveness as we are paying more for it and don't think our loved one is getting it consistently. We cannot comment on the activities because our loved one does not participate in them.

Friendly, helpful staff. Wish they had more activities to ease boredom and help engage people. To much garlic in almost all food. The rest of my review would just be repetition of the above. But you must have two hundred characters.

The management at Grande at Laumeier Park needs serious leadership in communication and worker skills.
