The Grande at Laumieier Park seems quite affordable but I think it is often understaffed. I think they would do well to charge a little more and hire more staff.

Don't move a loved one into a memory care unit. They don't assist them with daily living tasks like they should. They don't know how to talk with a person with dementia to encourage them to allow them to help. They don't have enough workers and there is constant turnover

The admin staff are nice and helpful. There are two or three of the MAs or Med Techs that I would consider very good, but the staff changed all the time and there is no consistency on the memory floor.

Overall the community is very nice. Unfortunately there have been issues with medication administration. They also no longer provide transportation to anywhere for household supplies or offsite outings. This was not what we were told when choosing the place. We chose this community because of location and views. We were also told that laundry, cleaning services, and transportation was provided but this is not totally true.

The industry is struggling as a whole I know but the amount of turnover of staff both administratively and in hands on care has been troubling. Many promises/things pointed to as a selling point when interviewing before chose have been unfulfilled. Started off well but quickly derailed and continues to decline with more staff exits, more perks unavailable, and communication about it all being after the fact or right as happening

They are not very responsive to questions or concerns we bring to their attention. This can be very frustrating at times. If they could just respond back in a timely manner the ratings would be more of a 4-5.

My dad fell more than I was told and got in a fight that sent him to the hospital and ended up being the fall that killed him. We dealt with a horrible transfer of ownership before it became the Sheridan. Staff turnover was high, not really sure how my dad was doing health wise. Never met the on staff physician and the list goes on. Just seemed like nobody was willing to help or do anything due to people taking everything to court. It is hard for me to say some of this because there are some amazing people that work there and it just seemed the turnover created many issues.

When my loved one moved into The Grande at Chesterfield, it was locally owned. The food was good, the activities were varied and the staff was pretty stable and responsive. Since then, the facility has been sold twice and I believe it is now owned by an investment group. My loved one is now very unhappy here, but doesn't want to move at this time. My loved one's biggest complaint is the food and there have been numerous turnovers with the primary cooks. A more nutritious menu is an improvement that definitely needs to be made. At this time, I would not recommend this facility to others.

They seemed great going in. But my father was exhibiting behaviors that they were not equipped to handle. So they sent him to a private mental hospital, which led to a series of events that involved his further decline, and ultimately Provision Living said they could not take him back. There is a lot of staff turnover at Provision Living, which I understand is common. The people in higher up positions - HR, Director of Nursing, etc. - are great. But I wish they would have been honest going in and told me that my father needed more care than they could give. It was just not a good fit for us. There's a lot they cannot do from a care perspective, including caring for wounds. They are pretty much there solely for monitoring the residents and giving out medications. If your loved one is ambulatory and just needs looking after, that's fine. But my father was beyond that. And I wish they had been upfront about that from the beginning.

My loved one doesn't like it here, and they want to move out. My loved one doesn't like the meals and the additional care for my loved ones are not being received and this is a concern. The food taste, quality, and selections could be better for the residents. The community needs to make sure the food is being served hot, as it arrives to the residents cold currently. Entertainers, bingo, ice cream socials, and more are some of the activities offered to the residents.

They are having quite a bit of changeover especially with management. They are in the middle of a corporate changeover. Several of the staff when we signed up are no longer there. They are now on their third director in the short time. The executive director is also no longer there. Things have improved though in other aspects, the physical therapy, the dental services that come are great. The saloon is also wonderful. For memory care, we enjoyed having the Memory care director there. The communication was lost in this changeover. The overall staff though is great, wonderful with communication. The actual caregivers are absolutely wonderful.

I was impressed with the staff; however, they were short staffed like everyone is today. Everyone that was there was caring, capable, and put the resident and family first. The administrative staff did lack in communication with the family. The community was willing to work with hospice. Overall, I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The community is only able to provide custodial care. The community was able to do the best they could with the staff they had. They tried to hire more staff. I felt that my loved one was cared for well during my loved one's stay.

Even with the staff being shorthanded they have continued to be so friendly and they really are trying their absolute best. They are really accommodating when it comes to the meals, they are willing to deliver the meals to our loved one or give them something different if they don't like what is being served. The rooms themselves are very nicely laid out. We thought it would be an easy transition coming from a big house - he has a bedroom, separate living space, a walk in closer and a nice kitchenette.

This community opened up during the pandemic and I really do think they are doing the best they can. Living in the villas we have house keeping, now they do a job good but they do not do extensive cleaning and we wish they would help unload dishes and do more then just vacuums, dust and clean the bathrooms. The staff members are wonderful and they really work hard providing a ton of activities for us, not only do they set up activities for independent living but we can also go over to the assisted living side. The dining room is well decorated, all the people who eat there are very friendly and always talk about how good the food is. We have had one meal so far, and it was delicious. We do love the location of our villas and we love the atmosphere.

Our loved one was there for respite care and at first all the arrangement's seemed to go very well, however our loved one ended up with bruises that the community said was from the gate belts they were using. There was no communication about this to our family or reports, so we aren't sure if they just didn't know how to correctly use the gate belts. Also we made arrangements with the group who comes to work in the hair salon to have our loved ones hair done twice that week but it was never done. Our expectations were not met.

The value for cost was very expensive what our loved ones received. Our father was on end of life, and even though they had staff there who were equipped with end of life care, to us they seemed unprepared. They were calling hospice all the time for help. Maybe it was a learning experience for them but we just felt they were unprepared to handle end of life care. They were wonderful people, but a small couple of things could of been worked out/improved.

Our loved one was only there for a couple of days, but they seemed to like the meals and there were a lot of activities. However, we would not recommend this community to others. Our loved one fell twice during their stay, and I was out of state having to call the ambulance to take our loved one to the emergency room The community never called the ambulance, and we had to drive to the community late at night hours after the initial fall and take him to the emergency. We thought that was very weird, and we have noticed they are understaffed.

The community has had almost a full turnover of staff. I would tell others to shop around. This was not a good fit for my loved one. My loved one needed some additional assistance to go to the hospital. The staff wouldn't answer the call buttons for my loved one. I ended up moving my loved on out of the community. They sold us with them stating they have an executive chef and they had better food than other communities. Our loved one requested food to be delivered hot and it was not.

The director is not very good with communication. We were supposed to have a conference call this week and she never called me. Some everyday staff are friendly and some are not very attentive to my mom and her needs. They seem to be understaffed of qualified people and I would not recommend after our experience. For the price, I expected more.
