Arden Courts of Seminole is a good as it gets for memory care.

We chose Arden Courts because my husband needs to be outside. He is able to be outside here without staff because they have a big and enclosed area. The second reason was the male/female population, it was about 40% men. I would recommend to others looking, they are specifically geared toward memory care and staff are properly to trained for that.

Sometimes due to the staff issues which we completely understand is a big struggle right now for everyone, but sometimes unless we are there walking around looking for staff it can be hard to get a hold of them if you try to call. The facility is clean and the staff members are extremely nice. The activities director is wonderful, the chef has been great, and both of the ladies who work at the front desk during the week and weekends are great. We love the way the facility is set up, it is like a little neighborhood with a movie theater and shops. We also love their philosophy, just because residents have Alzheimer's or dementia does not mean they are at the same stage so the residents will work to figure out what stage they are in and build from there. They will focus on everything positive they are still able to do, and really encourage them to keep doing the things they are able to. They do not focus on the negative aspects of the disease and we just think that is incredible and really appreciate their work

I liked Promedica Charlotte Stephenson Manor. But they just don’t have a locked door policy.

It was a nice tour and the facility is lovely. It is all on one floor and the residents all seemed to be very happy. It was my 1st choice but it was just too pricey for my loved ones funds.

The lady who gave us the tour and all the information in the beginning was very friendly and courteous. Everyone you would talk to were so friendly and polite and very encouraging. However they at times did not have enough staff around so when we would call to try and get a hold of someone it was difficult. The meals seemed rather ordinary, and during our loved ones stay for respite there was not to many activities going on for him.

We chose The Auberge because of the courtyard, our loved one likes to wander and so is he able to go in and out as he pleases and does not feel trapped. The front desk lady [name removed] is a very kind and I think it is overall a nice place. I would recommend to others.

I would advise others to check the staff to resident ratio, and the number of nurses on each shift. The community is short-staffed and that was our main concern. I would recommend then the community if the staffing improves.

I think that everybody has been very kind and helpful. It's a difficult situation for anybody going through this, but they do what they can to accommodate our needs.

The staff communicates well with us and does a good job of letting us know what is going on. The community is neat and clean and the staff for the most part is very friendly. I am very happy with the nursing staff.

This was more memory care based, and not exactly what we were looking for for our loved one. It is a nice place though.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. My mom is happy here, and this is a big plus for me. Some of the activities include: arts and crafts, painting of the women's nails, bingo, and more for the residents to choose from

We moved mom from a memory care unit on a large campus to Arden Courts Old Orchard during the pandemic. The move went rather smooth considering we couldn't enter her living area. She was settled in nicely. She has made friends & isn't calling to come home as much. She has more opportunity to walk outside, engaged in social events. Our visits are so nice.

Our family had a virtual tour, and as far as the tour goes it was a good experience. The way the building look was very nice, but the inside seemed a little older with darker wood, and we wanted a place that gave off a rally warm and bright feeling for our loved one.

Nice facility, questions answered clearly.

The facility seems very nice but I probably would not put my mom here again. It is strictly a memory care facility, so if someone is borderline or early stages, the staff cannot really make any changes moving them back to assisted living. I got the impression it is a facility for people who have more advanced Alzheimer's/dementia. The room sizes are rather small but they come already furnished. I do know that they have other locations and some of the other ones have assisted living under a different name.

What a beautiful facility! There are so many positive aspects with regard to pets, residents ability to come & go freely from the facility to walk outdoors, a kitchen in each cottage. However, a shared room doesn’t allow any privacy whatsoever to either resident. If a private room were affordable it would definitely be among my choices.

Arden Courts has the most comprehensive activities for memory care that I've found. This is what memory care is all about for me. They have excellent nursing and care in my opinion. There are activities from 9:30 am to 7 pm except for meal times. They have a wide variety of physical activities, games, discussions, and exercises that are available.

My mom lives at this facility. Her biggest complaint is the food. She has IBS, and there were a lot of cottage-related foods which upset her. Lately, since COVID she complains about the quality. Cookies burned at the bottom. And maybe some of her complaints can be justified and maybe some are her perfectionism. Food at this stage of life needs to be enjoyable, as there is little joy in her life.

We did a tour with this community and it was very nice. The tour was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. They answered all of our questions and gave us lots of information to consider. The community was very nice and they were very accommodating to us.
