I would not recommend Arden Courts. My father nearly died in their care. They made many assurances to my family that they could properly care for him. He needed assistance with eating, drinking, dressing, and walking. They told us they could handle this. He wasn't there but a couple of weeks when they were insisting to drug him so he would be more cooperative. All it did was make him so out of it we could not even stir him awake. The family insisted they stop with any drugs, and they reluctantly had to do so. He was there for 3 months and lost 30 lbs and the ability to walk. He got so weak he was taken to the hospital with severe dehydration and was in kidney failure. He was in the hospital for 10 days, and it was touch and go. Doctors did not think he was going to make it. He did pull through, and we transferred him to another facility in west Palm Beach where he received the care he needed. He gained a little weight back, his coloring was so much better but he was not able to walk again. Unfortunately my dad passed away in November. I think Arden Courts just wanted another body in their facility and made assurances to us that they could not possibly handle. My father's health and physical well being deteriorated to such a high degree in the 3 months he was there. He didn't deserve to be treated like this. I would tell anyone to stay away from putting their loved ones in this facility.

I had to put my best friend here in Jan 2018, when it had good reputation. After the excellent executive director left following Covid, care went steadily downhill. Management has been extremely uncooperative and uncaring. The few excellent aides were overwhelmed. Nursing care was also overwhelmed. Eventually, a simple skin tear on the right leg was allowed to become systemic. One day I discovered the LEFT leg was very red. The next morning she was unconscious and she died four days later.

The administration is very very rude. They accused me of taking pictures of the log in book, when I was taking a photo of the event they were having as they never let me know they were having a "family thanksgiving" and [name removed] had to eat alone.. I was very very upset.. so I was taking a pic of their "sign" for the event.. they are just rude rude rude.. I told the gentleman to never speak to me when I walk into that place again! I moved her to a new facility. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that it's very clean. 9/10 of the everyday workers were super nice, it was just the administrative staff.

I would tell others that I had a significant problem with medication administration and things being given as ordered. I had to put my loved one in the hospital because breathing treatments were not given as they were supposed to be The place is divided into assisted living and memory care unit. My understanding was the cognitive ability of patients is supposed to be similar among the wards and that was not the case. If your parent can communicate, the spark program is being done and it is a great program, but the cognitive ability of residents are not comparable so not many people can participate. I would not recommend this facility to other families looking based off our experience.

My score might increase. So far my father is still alive. I. The hospital due to COVID. Never had it u til now. Missed psych meds…here now. Home health nurse sent to wrong room In the beg. Blamed in HOME h nurse. They took her to the wrong room. Parent almost given lethal dose of wrong med. list is long. They need a better monitoring med system in place. Asap. The one in place is dangerous. We are locked in even tho we chose no memory care to avoid Lock Down!!! Severe Locked down facility . Most TV’s, fireplaces, speakers for music DO NOT work other than entrance family members see before signing papers. I’m praying changes are made bc my dad does love his neighbors and some of the caregivers. Needs more structure and accountability with MED TECHS AND DON!!!! Director of Nursing. If your parent needs a lot of meds and insulin I would research other facilities first. The cleanliness rating is for my dads room. The rest of the facility is very clean. But dads room is not.

When taking a tour of linden village it seemed real nice . But after we put our mother there everything went down hill . The smell was horrible like they never cleaned and the care was not like was explained to us My mother fell they did call to tell us they made it seem like it wasn’t that bad her wrist was swollen and black and blue they did get it X-rayed which should have been done right away but they did it on the 2nd day took forever to here the results ended up her wrist was fractured which ended up to be an old fracture and on day 3 we told them to have her taken to the emergency room because she still would not get out of bed. Found out not only was her wrist fractured her hip was broken. She needed to have a hip replacement and will never walk again her dementia is 10 times worse because of the surgery. We trusted these people with our mother!!!! Very irresponsible people working there.

My experience in the beginning when we had taken the tour was good but when the time came to drop our mother off things were different. She was not being showered wearing clothes that weren’t hers had fallen out of bed 3x each time being assured they would do something well the last time she endured a hip fracture and and OLD wrist fracture would never ever recommend Linden Village. My mother now will never walk again gets around now in a wheel chair

When we went into the community, they promised a lot of things. As long as your loved one can do things on their own, and know what is going on...the community is great. If your loved one can't assist themselves, then the community won't help. The community left my loved one alone in her room. They didn't help my loved one feed herself, do her laundry, clean her apartment. My loved one's room was like a cyclone had hit the room, when I was finally able to get in. There were clothes everywhere, no sheets on the bed, food everywhere, she smelled, her eyes and nose were crusty. I couldn't believe it. My loved one hadn't been out of her bed for almost a week. There were things missing. I couldn't even speak to the community the day I was able to see my loved one's room. My loved one ended up passing the night I decided to take my loved one home. I blame the doctor and the community for this development. Come to find out the doctor wasn't even seeing my loving one. The doctor gave my loved one six months to live, about a month before my loved one passed. I feel the caretakers were spiteful. The staff were getting frustrated with my loved one. They would take approximately 25-30 minutes to go see my loved one. They didn't know what she was using her buzzer to get their attention or other assistance. They didn't seem to care. The community refused to allow me to go in to pack my loved one's properties. I didn't get to go in. The community through things into boxes and they didn't wrap anything of my loved one's items. Her items were broken, tangled, and there was a special jar that was missing. There was also a basket container that was missing. They rushed in getting the room cleaned out. They didn't care about my loved one's items. Her clocks and music box were wrapped properly in her clothes. I wish I would have taken pictures of my loved one's room when I was there. I wouldn't recommend the community to take care of my dog. I tried to talk to the manager in change, she kept assuring me that they were taking care of my loved one.

I would not recommend this community at all. They didn't have enough staff. People were always in my loved one's room, and didn't have any supervision. The food I brought in for my loved one, was stolen along with her clothes. They cancel activities all the time, and didn't have structed activities. They put I love Lucy on every night. There were several behavior issues in the unit, that my loved one was in. There was a resident who kept coming up to my loved one and touching them. The administration would put on a good front, and was friendly. The nursing and staff weren't even a qualified MA on each unit. The staff was more like food service qualified. They didn't have any memory care training as it appeared. They couldn't keep anyone.

My family and I went to tour and the community was very clean. They knew we were coming and cleaned. Then the care went downhill after my loved one moved in. You could smell urine from the moment you walked in all the way down the hallway. The staff never emptied the trash. The nurse said that it wasn't my job, that is the third shift's job. My mom fell and the community said they didn't know what happened. She was bruised on her face and black and blue down to her collarbone. The head nurse was lying for the nurses. Once when my loved one's insurance called because they were worried that my loved one's blood pressure medication hadn't been ordered in over a month. The nurse and head of nursing said that wasn't right because I gave that to her on Sunday. The head of nursing, stated she didn't know who was supposed to order the medication for my loved. [name removed] who was in charge of activities was wonderful. She was correcting the residents to make sure the residents had their walking assistance (wheelchairs, cane, walker).
