They will make your relative worse. Get some computers and some safety equipment. Maybe some good management.

It's a little run down. The people who worked there were nice until there were some issues and then they were hard to get in contact with. They need more variety of both the food and activities.

Seems they couldn't keep enough caregivers some were good just not enough coverage. There was no daily activity for the residents. They need to evaluate residents for their daily needs better. I would not recommend. The cost was decent the value wasn't there.

My mother was assessed by them while still at a rehab. Evaluated to be in need “maximum level of care” and paying for this. Come to find out, caregivers are not competent to meet this level of care!!! If your loved one requires any need in assistance of care, NOT the place for you. Was led to believe they could accommodate my mother’s care. Don’t believe everything they tell you, like I did.

Billing inaccuracies are frequent and if not questioned by the advocate they continue. If someone must be moved from the facility because the facility cannot care for them, even when on hospice, you will continue to be billed for the room for 14 days (regardless if a death occurs). There is a lack of doing the right thing vs referring to the contract by management.Turnover of employees is high and requires contract workers to fill in. This causes inconsistency in care for the residents.

My father has dementia, carries a catheter 24/7, and is incontinent. A Place for Mom strongly recommended Linden Village (LV). 5 days after his arrival at LV, he was taken to the hospital for septic shock. He survived thanks to powerful antibiotics and was sent back to LV. During the following 2 weeks, he returned to the hospital several times because his catheter contained blood in his urine. When I was finally able to visit my father, I immediately saw that his bedsheets were soiled with feces. Within a couple of hours, I realized that he had been defecating in his sweatpants about twice per day without any briefs or underwear. Most, if not all, of the feces were dry, meaning that he had been carrying the feces in the vicinity of the catheter connection into his body for hours. A day later, I found dried feces lathered onto the tubing of his catheter. A day later, I drove him out of Linden Village.

I had visited my mother and she complained of terrible back pain. I proceeded to feel her back and felt a large bump about 6” by 4” with a 2 inch rise. I immediately went to the front desk and asked if they were aware. [name removed], Exec. Dir., said that was something that needed to be discussed with the medical POA. I asked, again, if they were aware of the situation. [name removed], very rudely, repeated I needed to talk with the POA. Untrue - I was not seeking to discover any medical diagnosis or condition. [name removed] remained argumentative and brought up some family disputes of which she had no business to be involved. I had a few words with her, some of which were colorful, but I was neither loud nor disruptive, and left. Later that day, I received a phone call from a police officer telling me I was no longer permitted to visit my mother. Unprofessional, uncaring, and apathetic.

We placed my dad in Ardern Courts of Hatboro after we were no longer able to care for him at home. Dad was able to walk and make his needs known when he entered the facility. Dad was there 3 weeks and declined quickly because they didn’t walk him, and they kept him in a wheelchair all day. Within 3 weeks' time he lost weight, became incontinent and developed bed sores. He was left unattended in the dining room, fell and broke his ribs and was hospitalized for days. We used that as our exit out to a new place. While at Arden Courts a family member visited him every day and provided his routine hygiene care because it was obviously not being done since he was wearing the same clothes, we put on him the night before and his diaper and pants were soaked through every night. Dad wound care medication could never be found when ask for, so his wound did not improve until we removed him from the facility. There is much more and yes, we complained daily but now live with regret.

This place and Staff are the rudest people you can encounter and disrespectful behavior. You think that this place is all nice and sweet and the staff is kind but you are wrong. The staff starve the residents so they don’t clean them as well as hit them or yell at them.. This place is mistaken for its look with rude staff who are two faced and look at you with disgust when the manager isn’t around. They speak in their own language and make fun of you because you don’t understand. I see staff sleeping on the job on the phone sleeping on residents beds and eating their own food. THIS PLACE IS NOT WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE!!!!

Upon reflection, they should have not accepted my loved one as a resident. They obviously were letting finances decide their decisions. Worst month of our lives. The staff misled us as to his suitability of the population , the professionalism of the staff, and the safety they could provide for his abilities.

To be perfectly honest, her care was horrible. They insisted on attempting to adjust her meds in-house. Weeks later and thousands of dollars of her money for special care aids, and they ended up sending her to a psychiatric facility mainly because the situation was financially untenable. We thought this was going to get done before they would even accept her as a resident. When she returned to Arden, she was extremely diminished and so was placed in hospice. I never saw the hospice nurse until on one visit, she was alone in her home in a soiled diaper, and moaning. Her breathing was labored. I had the aid call the hospice nurse who had him check her pulse ox- it was dangerously low. She was placed on oxygen and the hospice nurse said she was not in immediate danger so she would visit the next day. She died that evening.

I ended up having to move my husband to a different facility. At Arden Courts I was bullied and told I had to get a 1 on 1 caregiver in addition to paying their monthly fee. They claim to be experts in dementia care, but are unwilling to take time to provide the personal care that dementia patients require.

My husband w/FTD moved to Auberge at Bee Cave. The staff is loving,hard-working; listens with a willingness to help. Meals are delicious & staff seemed organized when feeding & giving meds to residents. First full day I visited my husband. I located him in activities room, in wheelchair w/his head hanging low. He was unresponsive. A staff member approached me & advised he had been in this state for a long time. Nurse was called & he was rushed to hospital for a 2-day stay. My Husband was given wrong medication that was discontinued. Auberge advised not their fault but pharmacy's fault. Sent back to Auberge and perished several days later. Heartbroken! I paid over [fee removed] for first month & advised will receive refund of some kind. Contract signed states an additional 2-weeks will be charged when resident dies. My refund will be less than [fee removed] which means I'm paying over [fee removed]for a 1-week stay minus the 2 days in hospital. Understand IF lengthy stay but he was there for 7 days! Unhappy!!

We recently moved our mom out of Arden Court. Until a few months ago, we were happy, however, with recent admin changes, the care has declined forcing our hand at moving out. The basic needs of our mom were not being met and we no longer had the peace of knowing she was being well taken care of. There were certainly a handful of kind caregivers, but without systems of accountability in place, some staff/and agency workers were not doing their jobs.

A Place for Mom has rated this facility at a 9.0 That must be an old rating when [name removed] was the Executive Director First hand experience- Residents laying in urine soaked bed, bruises from falls due to lack of supervision, filthy hallway carpets that are freshened up with Carpet Fresh Filthy floors in rooms, moldy shower mats, sun par meals, and worse of all, bringing in temp agencies to care for residents with minimal training and supervision Hoping things get back to a place that deserves a 9.0 rating..right now sitting at about a 3
