Most of the staff are great. They have plenty of activities that keep the residents engaged and entertained. The complex is well kept. I would recommend the community to others.

The people are very friendly, and the community has been nicely remodeled. However, we have experienced some ongoing issues with billing that have required follow-up. There have also been some delays with getting everything completed after my dad was moved to another room. Overall, it is a friendly place, but you do have to stay on top of things and follow up to make sure everything is taken care of.

The staff is great, and the room is clean. They have staff available to provide more assistance at an additional cost, depending on the level of help you need. Overall, the experience has been good, but everyone can use some improvement. I would recommend the community to others.

Food is acceptable overall. Not gourmet but decent most of the time. Restaurant manager is fantastic. Maintenance guy is also fantastic. The new director has many residents upset. The former director was fabulous.

We have had a good experience so far. There are lots of activities for the residents even though there has been turnover with the activity directors. The meals are healthy and good. The facility is kept quite clean and laundry is done twice a week. The apartment size is sufficient for one person and the staff is very friendly.

Staff was always helpful and responsive. Mom needed more care than most other residents and they fulfilled her needs for care. Lots of activities, even though mom didn't participate very much. Food was good, not exceptional. Campus was always clean and housekeeping did a good job in her apartment. The 1 bedroom apartment was quite roomy and nice layout.

The staff has been friendly and helpful. They made the transition easy and safe. The apartment was clean, but the windows are inoperable, and my mother cannot open them by herself. I am also unhappy with the fact that they raised her rent so soon after she moved in and have reduced the amount of food they are giving them at each meal. It is disappointing. We have also had issues with things breaking in her apartment. The first night there, the showerhead fell off. Since then, her stove broke, and she was not able to use it. Her refrigerator also broke and froze all the food she had in the refrigerator. Overall, the staff has been kind and helpful, but we are disappointed with the maintenance issues, the rent increase so soon after moving in, and the reduction in the amount of food being provided.

My sister [name removed] lives there. Overall, it is good. She is younger (age 69) and in better health than most, so she realizes that she may not need to be there. She feels the overall care is more consistent with an extended care nursing facility than an assisted living facility.

They oversold the care they can provide. The staff are very sweet but they seemed short staffed. I rarely saw an activities happening. The apartment was a nice size. Communication with the ED was poor. Communication with the DON was good. He liked the food. It's a good place for people who don't need a lot of assistance.

She has a studio apartment with a patio door. Which is perfect for her and she loves it. The only concern is that the facility seems to struggle with getting reliable and knowledgeable help for the weekends. The weekday staff appear to be dependable. She has commented that the dining room is somewhat understaffed.

Residents nursing care is really great - fantastic job and residents feel safe and comfortable Food-common feedback is that food is bland- which I understand some residents cant have salt - but for those that do - make it available. What about the opportunity to serve breakfast for dinner sometimes? Communication - communication improvements are needed and being addressed. Facilities and activities are great - very comfortable environment.

I am giving four stars only because they're short staffed especially on the weekends. The staff is phenomenal. The explanation of the first months rent wasn't real clear. It seemed high, but I just accepted their explanation. Because I trust them. Food service is top-notch. Several times I've had to take out my mom's garbage and straighten up her room only because they do it once a week and like I said they're short staffed. the rest of the facility appears very clean and very warm and inviting. I do not regret one minute that I chose Tawas Village.

The staff was very patient and thorough in the tour. Also answered many questions regarding daily living at the facility inclusive for any participant's level.

The staff are great but a lot of overturn....food according to residences could be better....meat tough, not enough variety, activities good....cleanliness is pretty good, could always be better. Only have upright sweepers with no attachments so anything with upholstery seems neglected. Cable is Poor quality, even in common areas....for the price $[removed]+/month could be upgraded!

I don't have much to say about my experience cause I mainly just go for lunch and dinner. I don't do activities cause I prefer to watch Tv. But when they have entertainment I will go and do that.

I thought the care at Celebration Villa was very good and I liked everyone that took care of my cousin. Unfortunately he was only there two weeks before he passed away, so it was a very short stay. On the cost side, you have to give a 30 notice when leaving which I was aware of, but didn't think it included passing away there, so had to pay for 6 weeks for a two week stay. Just make others aware of that clause

Maintenance requests were frustrating we had purchased a ceiling fan for the apartment and were told the maintenance staff had to be the ones to install it Not surprising for liability reasons. However, the fan was taken out of the box and never installed. So we were unable to return it after she passed because it was opened but it was never even installed. Additionally, we had some concerns of some protected patient medical information being released to unauthorized individuals. We did escalate this concern to administration and were informed it was addressed.

We felt that Celebration Villa was a good fit for my parents. Our main reason for beginning the search was to get them closer to us. We found a place only 4.5 miles from our house. Its a 2br, 2 ba, with den condo. We can check on and help them easily as needed now and the veterans administration provides caregiver services 3 days a week in addition to doctor and nursing come to the house as needed.

I met and talked with a few of the residences there and they informed me that they love it there. So that says alot about the facilty.

My mom didn't participate in all the activities, but my sisters and I saw all the nice events available. From what we viewed, Celebration is a wonderful facility. I have encouraged others to entrust their loved ones there. The staff was very kind. [name removed] was so sweet.
