Overall we are pretty happy with it. It's beautiful. The general areas are quite clean, but the private areas could use some work, especially the bathroom. Mostly the staff is friendly, there is one person that my loved one clashes with a little. They have one bus with the wheelchair capacity, and they are having a lot of trouble with the bus and getting it fixed. They have six levels of care so they are able to accommodate quite a bit. She likes the food, she thinks it's superb. They have lots of activities, but since the van isn't working, they have been canceling the activities lately.

I have been very pleased with Atria since my mother moved in. The staff has been very easy to work with, helpful, and they are very flexible. They constantly evaluate the level of care to help you save money. There is a great variety and amount of activities. There was a Mother's Day Tea with great food and entertainment, and they constantly have card games, crafts, and other activities going on. Residents are always encouraged to gather and socialize, giving the community a great atmosphere.

Sterling House is small enough that it really feels like home. The staff are exceptionally kind, and professional. The residents have plenty of opportunities to be engaged in lots of varied activities throughout the week and as a newcomer they reached out to my mother personally who was feeling a little lost in a new place. It is also quiet in a nice way but when the situation arises like around the dinner table there are very nice conversations going on. It will not take too long before my mom has some new friends. A big plus is that everyone listens to you and if you have a specific need for your loved one....like ice cream and cookies for dinner, they are very flexible and accommodating. I also see lots of safety practices in place which is very reassuring. I know and feel that they are doing everything possible to make my mom and her family feel like it really is home, only it's better!

Your services were very helpful in finding ... not just "a" place...but the right place to care for our mother.

For the price, this is a great value! The housekeeping and maintenence is great! There are lots of activities and things to do! Also, the food is good! From a chef's standpoint, we're happy with it! However, it would be nice if the meals were a little more flexible. The meal times are set, and if you miss it, you miss it. It might be nice if they had some small items out for grazing, such as cereal or fruit. They do have coffee out all day though. We are also very happy with the doctor that comes in. My loved one likes him very much and it's much easier than trying to make an appointment. They also have a hair salon on site! The living quarters are great. My loved one has a very nice little apartment with a patio that overlooks the woods. It's very comfortable and very nice. If you're fairly independent, this works really well - and for what you get, this is a deal!

Elmcroft seems like a really effective place with a friendly staff and well managed facility. Administrators are engaging and seem intimately involved with people and care givers. Care giving staff seems somewhat over stretched for people to serve.

I think it's kind of a nice place and it's a little far to travel for me, but she liked it and, she picked it, so that's what we did. It's very, very clean, any piece of dirt or anything and they are right there trying to clean it up. There are a couple of people that really aren't that friendly, they don't seem to smile as much, or be as talkative as some of the others, but most of everybody else is very nice, all of the people there know everybody by name, they are a pretty close knit group. They have four or five levels of care and separate each one by about a hundred dollars. They frown on anyone doing their own medication and want you to go through them. Housekeeping is done once a week and they launder the sheets on the bed and towels and wash cloths, but personal laundry, you have to pay or have someone do it or do it yourself. The medication management is close to being on time but sometimes they aren't always on time. There's quite a bit of activities, over Christmas they had childrens dance troups and singing carols, and someone in the library reading today, they take them out on shopping trips and things. Some of the people bake cookies for meals on wheels. My mom chose it because it was less expensive.

We were very happy with the service my loved one received here, and would have kept her there if cost hadn't been an issue. They have a robust staff and are able to handle all different levels of care, and have full time RNs on staff. As a larger facility they have a very good variety of activities as well. It's very expensive, but they provide a good level of high quality care.

My father in law really likes it, we've been trying to get him to move closer to us but he's signed into some contract until 2016 and he's got a really good rate. He's renting a house there and the house he has is a two bedroom, kitchen, living room and it has a garage. He still gets around pretty good but I don't think he participates too much but they do have a lot of activities like they have bands and groups come in and sing and they have bingo. A lot of these places have a lot of activities but it's up to them to really participate.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Residents seem to be happy. Everyone is trying to have Mom feel at home.

I'm not there so i dont really know how things are but the times that ive been there have been fine. My dads not happy with the services, and I know part of that is my dad, part of it is timeliness, part of it is he can be adifficult person. That can be how some of the caregivers respond to him, but also how he treats them. Hes also not a real participatory kind of guy but my mom enjoys the activities though. Intially, why we chose it, is the location, my parents liked the facility, what they saw, the arrangements of the rooms and everyone was friendly and they're happy for the most part.

We chose this community because it was convenient for our family. The layout of the grounds makes it easy to navigate everything is fairly centrally located. The staff is really friendly and the quality of the food is good. They have a pool as well.

There have been some issues here and there- staff turnover (including the executive director), laundry issues and food issues. Laundry- mystery stains on my parent's clothes that weren't there before. Food- running out of food options on certain days. But overall, we're pretty happy with their care. The nursing staff is great. Overall, I would recommend the community to others.

The staff is friendly, and there are lots of activities available. I especially appreciate that the memory care residents have access to an outdoor patio and can choose to spend time outside when they want. The most difficult part of my experience has been communicating with management. Calls are not always returned, and email responses can be inconsistent. This has been very frustrating, especially when trying to get questions or concerns addressed.

Great staff, very accommodating and good listeners. Availability was the primary reason as well as room size, bigger than most. I would recommend but if there are medical conditions of the resident, you have to stay on top of them until they onboard their medical care. Can take time and effort on the part of family. Not very proactive at facility. The check lists provided by A place For Mom we're wonderful and really helped with the tours.

My mom is a very challenging person to deal with. She has been alone so long, she is used to having things her way. The staff at CV has been very patient in dealing with her and her quirks. The other residents have been very cordial and have tried to make her a part of their community. Even though she has said she is not a "joiner", she has joined groups playing games as an observer, and she is beginning to learn some of the games! She especially loves the hair salon and looks forward to having her hair shampooed and styled every week. She was excited to find that she could set up a standing appointment. My mom is a very picky eater, but she enjoys the food. There are always options if you don't like or don't want what is on the daily menu. Each apartment has a small kitchenette for residents to keep snacks and food for small meals in their rooms. I do wish there was an option for the CV van to take residents to appointments. CV uses an outside vendor to take residents to appointments, and it requires lots of lead time and is quite expensive. One of the reasons for assisted living is the convenience and peace of mind it offers, but this puts the responsibility right back on the family. We initially chose CV because we were looking for Respite Care and they had an open room. We stayed because of the positive experience and the convenient location. Another aspect is the fact that CV is Assisted Living only. It is not assisted living in a large facility that has every level of care. It doesn't "smell" like a nursing home. It has the look and feel of an apartment building. I also appreciate the security - not just anyone can walk in, nor can anyone leave without staff knowing. Residents and visitors can access the courtyard that features patio furniture and a garden. Some of the apartments have a door to the courtyard area, which was really exciting for an avid gardener. , I would recommend CV to others looking for a safe place for their loved ones. The pricing is a little hard to understand because no matter how large or small your apartment is, the pricing is the same. We came at a time when the director was new, so the onboarding for us was a little chaotic. It is still a little challenging to get in touch with the director for questions and to address issues, but we're hoping this resolves over time.

The bathroom wasn't clean when they moved in, but has been good since. Adjustments and learning how the facility work is ongoing.

It’s really hard to review because some of the staff have been excellent and others just going through the motions. The buildings have had the outside repainted and new screens put in. They look very nice now. I heard that the insides were getting paint and new carpet soon. They’re not terrible but they could use the improvement. The food is ok. One month after moving in the administration announced that only breakfast and dinner would be included. Lunch is available for an additional charge. There was a maintenance issue with the apartment when he moved in and I ran into the maintenance guy and he fixed it right then. However, maintenance requested at the office since then has not been completed. The apartment is very nice but the weekly cleaning has not happened at all. The resident “refused “ but I would hope the cleaning staff would just do a quick cleaning of the floors.

Love the staff, they are friendly and knowledgeable, activities are enjoyable, food depends on who's cooking, cleanliness could be better, apartment is very adequate. What makes it favorable are the people we live with. They make it tolerable and fun!

Currently in respite for 30 days most of staff is excellent they have a few servers which are less to be desired services are good to excellent food is above average with a good assortment apartment are clean and well maintained library pool table and swimming pool. Area activities by staff is well thought out do a good job of engaging residents
