I thought Atria Hearthstone was okay. It was a lot les money than the place we chose, but not nearly as clean. And the staff didn't interact with the residents and families the same - they weren't as friendly and down to earth.

The staff were good to work with the family. My loved one didn't care that the staff would just walk in unannounced and didn't give enough privacy for my loved one. The meals were served at specific time frames and my loved one would have preferred to have had more open hours for dining.

One thing we really like about Celebration Villa is everything is on one level, the residents do not have to worry about walking up and downstairs or taking an elevator. It is really easily accessible and they can easily walk outside and get to the courtyard. Right now the activities are a little limited and sometimes it is a hit or miss with the cooking of the meals but everything seems to be working out just fine.

I would recommend the community to others for their loved ones. The staff and care team are awesome to work with! The staff communication with the family is amazing! They keep the family updated with any changes or concerns about our loved one. The community is able to provide medication management as one of the care types. The food is horrible according to my loved one. This is the worst thing there to a lot of the residents. The activities include Wii bowling, bingo, sit and stretch, and more for the residents to choose from. There is a calendar that shows all the activities for the day for the residents.

We chose Brookdale Winter Haven because what they had promoted about activities in the memory care unit. They have been without an activities director for well over a month. I can see myself that they are short handed just like everyone else. The staff that is consistent is really good. Overall there are just some improvements that they could make. In the county, it is one of the top memory care facilities.

For my mom personally, it would be helpful if when they are there cleaning or tiding up that they double check to make sure she has toilet paper on the roll. She physically cannot do it and sometimes when I visit she has none so that has been an issue. I also think the staff could interact more with the residents. The gentleman in the beginning was great and was wonderful with the residents but he was promoted and moved on so there has not been as much interaction.

I am pleased with the community. I would put my loved one here again. This is a good place. My loved one is getting interaction with the staff, and other residents. I've seen residents make friends within the community. The community is good at helping the residents feel like they are doing something to help them. The community is secure and the residents do have the option to be in the gated part of the community whenever they want to.

The apartments are set up as studios, and this was set up for individuals more than a couple trying to live together. It was clean, and the staff were fine to work with.

The facility is very nice and the value for the money is great. It has been a positive experience.

Celebration is a relatively smaller community that is all on one level. The room that we chose for our loved one is the nicest one that we saw and it gives him plenty of rooms and fits his need just fine. The executive director [name removed] who resigns onsite is just fantastic. The chef is absolutely great when it comes to addressing the specific needs regarding our loved one. He gets three square meals a day, breakfast is fantastic and they usually serve "dinner" at lunch which has been great. We are able to deliver the meals to his room but at an extra cost which we are fine with. One thing that is a downside is at times they do seem understaffed but all in all we could be be happier with our loved one being there.

It's easy to get you in. They were very helpful with that. It's hard to get answers sometimes about certain things. Everybody has their own little job /role, so getting to the right person can be a chore. But other than that, overall it's okay and has been a good place for her. Except for the food. She complains about the food all the time. They use a lot of tomato and acidic ingredients that a lot of seniors' stomachs can't tolerate. There's also not a lot of seasoning, which I understand for certain seniors. I just wish they had little seasoning packets for the people who can handle it. I think the cost is high on all these types of facilities. But she loves it there. She likes the activities - things like games, outings, gardening. Her chief complaint is the preparation of the food. She's pretty independent, and I feel she's getting ample care at this point. I appreciate that the staff really make her feel wanted and useful. They let her help do little things like picking up bingo cards, which is important to her and gives her purpose.

Tanglewood Trace is a nice place.

We had to find a place in a hurry, and their sales person. [name removed] , was super helpful in showing me around and reassuring me that this is a real community and could help Mom get back into socialization. They welcomed her with a true red carpet, which smoothed her over going there, because previously she was not at all about it. Since moving in, she's feeling much better, and she's more like herself. Management of her medications is exactly what we needed to get her stable again. And she's just doing a lot better.

Have to have the meals in my room due to my health and some of the meals are decent and some I don't care for. We were told we had internet and now we don't because the antenna doesn't reach. We do have cable tv. It's not a bad place if you can afford it and have your own furniture. They replace your trash, laundry and vacuum. They do medication management as well for an extra charge.
