Upon entering Elmcroft of Lebanon, you immediately are drawn to the feelings of compassion, patience and true empathy that the entire staff conveys to both their residents and their families. The main lobby/living room is a pleasant gathering place for the residents from the dancing flames in the gas fireplace to the bright, happy sunlight streaming through the many windows. You do not see lonely individuals slumped in wheelchairs, left to their own to survive another boring day. The staff includes ALL the folks in whatever events are going on that day, no matter the individual's physical or mental state. The food is high quality with many different choices. The medical director is very connected with the residents' care, from delivering meds at specific times, monitoring weight/blood sugar/breathing etc. and keeping in touch with physicians and individual families. The activities Elmcroft plans each day are fun and they even have monthly family nights with food and entertainment. The entire atmosphere is uplifting, and in just 2-1/2 weeks, my mother has done a 360 degree turn in regaining her mobility, spunk and interest in living that she had lost at her previous senior living site. When we were told the apartment was ready, it was not. The day we started moving in the painting had not been completed ( it never did get finished); the rug was to have been cleaned; did not happen. The rug was vacuumed but it was obvious it did not get steam cleaned or any other system. Was somewhat disappointing but the next day it was "Done" according to those in charge. The above remained the same as the day before. They said they would take care of it (maintenance folk). Manager agreed it would get done.

Our experience with Brentwood at Elkhart has been a very good one, overall! The people here are friendly and helpful, and the facility itself is always very clean and well kept. We toured quite a few communities in the area and I was really impressed with the size of the rooms here! My one suggestion for them would be that the food could use a little work. My loved one tells me that the breakfast is usually very good, but the dinners can be hit or miss.

Everything is going just great. We love the staff, the building, and everything about the place. We moved him in not too long ago and this has been a very pleasant experience. Thank you.

I'm very happy with them so far. I think if there was anything they could improve, it would be that the food could use improvement from time to time. It's great sometimes, but can be a little inconsistent. The orientation for a new person, could have been more concise. I think the efficiency of intake was great, and Gayla the marketing person did a fantastic job. I never felt rushed and she answered all my questions. It's spotless and really well cared for. She got a great place for the price. The other residents seem to be very friendly, everyone was overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the place. She loves the hairdresser, it's great.

I have found the Elmcroft Assisted Living facility to be a very caring place. My husband is dealing with Alzheimer's and it has become impossible to deal with the situation at home. The staff seems interested in my husband and they seem to appreciate him which means a lot to me.

Venetian Gardens has been a God send for my Mother and our family. She is 92, and although she is independent, she has lost her sight and hearing. and therefore needs some T.L.C. to help her transition into her new home. She found that compassion with the extraordinary resident managers, Lanett & Mike,/and Tom & Jean. They not only help to serve meals, troubleshoot in the kitchen ,but also interact with residents (24/7)all day long. We feel truly blessed that we found a wonderful "home" for our "Great Nana". We are still hopeful to find some bridge players to further engage her in activities, but with the Venetian community assistance, we know it's just a matter of time. Thanks so much.

My family's experience within the first few months has been good so far.

Cherry Laurel has been very good so far. I don't have any major complaints at this time. I am happy with them.

Overall I think they do a great job at Elmcroft of Chippewa, I'd give them high marks across the board. The staff here is friendly and professional, and the facility itself is well kept and clean. We toured a few communities in the area and this was definitely our top choice. The only negative thing I could say about them is that they are a little pricey, otherwise we have no complaints whatsoever!

It's a great spot and they take pretty good care of her. They bend over backwards for her, the staff waits on her and helps her feel at home. The food has been pretty good, I have eaten there a couple of times.

We recently moved Mom into Aspen Ridge of Gaylord, Michigan. We noticed shortly after, that she was seemed much more content and happy then we had seen her in many months. The facility is kept very clean, and there seems to be ample staff, to care for the residents. Our family has been really happy with this move.

Our father was very resistant to moving to a retirement home. We found Sterling Court and thought that it would be a perfect place for our parents since we did not want them living on their own. Since our mother passed away, he was happy to be among others like himself who either found themselves widowed or could not live without the Life Alert. He appreciates the independence but is happy to have the company when he needs it. He has found new friends and does not feel alone. We are happy to see how positive and healthy he looks and feels. We would recommend Sterling Court absolutely. Thank you

Our family is excited for our move-in date. We chose this specific facility because of the fact that it was brand new construction, had beautiful views of the river and grounds, has memory care if that becomes a need and the responsiveness of the administration. From our first phone call to touring the construction site several times, phone calls, text messages, emails, they have all been answered not only timely but with detailed information. Many facilities are nice and maybe even new, it's the communication that our family absolutely requires! I would recommend contacting the staff and taking a tour. (I will write another review after move-in but wanted to share my experience up to this point)

My dear friend has lived in this facility for several years. I have visited many facilities, and even worked in an assisted living for years, and I can definitely attest to how wonderful Brandywine at Dresher is. The facility is lovely. The food is good and they provide a number of choices at meals. The activities program is varied and engaging, and the care is top notch. The staff go out of their way to ensure that the residents are clean and cared for. The residents are treated with respect and made to feel welcome. There are many special events, frequent trips and great entertainment in house. There is a real sense of community at this facility. All of the staff, including administration, personal care, nursing, maintenance, reception, etc, go out of their way to get to know the residents and to make them happy. Some examples of how they go above and beyond the call of duty include the story of when she had a tumor on her head and needed headbands. The staff brought many in for her, out of the kindness of their hearts. On a another occasion, when there was a special event at the facility, the staff ensured that she got to ride in a classic car, despite her paralysis on one side. They took a wonderful picture of her that same day and e-mailed it to me. These actions speak volumes regarding the culture of this facility. If this facility is within the price range of your loved one, I suggest that you look no more. This is the best assisted living facility around!!

My 90 year old mother-in-law and her 88 year old sister love Venetian Gardens. As a first experience leaving their condo in Indian Rocks Beach we had previously had them at an assisted living facility here in Venice for only one month. It turned into a very difficult situation for them both as we weren't warned this facility held a high rate of memory care patients. These women are not complainers but they finally had to tell us how unhappy they were. My husband and I felt terrible and wanted to find them a better place quickly. The person I spoke to at A Place for Mom listened to our situation and as to what these women really needed. He helped us get them into a situation which fit their mental, physical and social needs. They feel they've "come home" and they are comfy and cozy in a very clean environment, We can all rest knowing that that they're safe and secure where they are now and it helps that they love the food there! This is a quality place and the price is half of the assisted living facility we had them in. A win-win all around.

Mom really seems to be enjoying herself at Sterling Court! After meeting the staff and seeing just how friendly everyone here was she became positively enthused about moving! The facility itself is a well kept, clean, nice looking place, and everyone seems happy! They also do a great job with the food! It wasn't the best we had while touring, but still very very good!

I am happy with it so far, it hasn't been that long yet, but I have no complaints. There are plenty of activities and entertainment. The food is good, I like the food. That's one reason I chose them, and they had a good price, and I really liked the location. The other residents seem pretty friendly. I went to about a half a dozen places, and this was the best. So far I don't have any complaints at all here.

My sisters and I were looking for a better Assisted Care Facility that where our Mom was currently living. I found this place through a TV commercial by Joan Lunden for "A Place for Mom". The advisers were very helpful in finding a few places for us to check out. Mom reluctantly agreed to a tour. After having lunch and spending a few hours looking around, Mom decided to move in! This place is awesome! Staff is great! Food is Great! People living there are great! My only negative comment is that we were not told that there is a non-refundable deposit equal to the first months rent until we were actually through signing all the paperwork to rent a room. We were caught off guard by this additional expense and had to scramble to figure a way to pay for it. This should be disclosed up front! Mom has been there about a month now and she loves it!

Overall we are pretty happy with it. It's beautiful. The general areas are quite clean, but the private areas could use some work, especially the bathroom. Mostly the staff is friendly, there is one person that my loved one clashes with a little. They have one bus with the wheelchair capacity, and they are having a lot of trouble with the bus and getting it fixed. They have six levels of care so they are able to accommodate quite a bit. She likes the food, she thinks it's superb. They have lots of activities, but since the van isn't working, they have been canceling the activities lately.
