They have a doctor that completes the diagnosis and treatment of the residents who is always too busy. We had it scheduled to receive a diagnosis and each time he showed up it was postponed, it ended up taking us three weeks to finally get our loved one diagnosed. When he finally did get our loved one diagnosed, he diagnosed our loved one as being fine and telling them to just take one aspirin in the morning. Our loved one had an episode and ended up going to emergency room, while they were there we had the hospital doctors give our loved one a diagnosis and that is when they were diagnosed with Dementia. When we told The Classic about the accurate diagnosis they started wanting to charge extra for every single service. Our loved one was not there very long and they still kept our $3,000 signup fee and our monthly rent of $2,200. They also wanted us to give them a 30 day notice of which we would have to pay rent even though the room was vacant. Because the inappropriate diagnosis by their doctor they did not provide the proper care for our loved one which had them end up in the emergency room. There is no way we would ever recommend this community to anyone.

They prescribed medication that was not FDA approved for Alzheimer's patients. They did not properly test their employees for COVID 19. This led to their employees bringing the virus into the facility. My wife died from the virus.

I moved my mother into the Bridges about 6 months ago. It's extremely poorly run and they never have enough help. The staff never returns to called to anxious children and they have had several cases of Covid recently. The nurse in charge never returns calls when you are calling to report a sick loved one. She apologizes that she is far to busy to return her calls. Corporate that owns facility doesn't care about anything but their monthly payments.

I would want other families to know when looking into Brookdale Deer Creek that the services are really bad. My mom needs assistance at night time. We called and said please take her to the restroom at 1 and 5 and they would not do it or it would be 45 minutes late. My mom says there is a lot of cockroaches and the rooms smell. She even changed rooms and is having the same issues. During the day, she will call around 10AM and they have not gotten her out of bed yet. She needs assistance and they are not providing it.

The head of nursing evaluated my loved one twice, and knew dementia was part of my loved's medical care and still admitted my loved one. The community upped my cost after my loved one was admitted for my loved one care. The nurses then kept calling me daily to let me know that they couldn't take care of my loved one. They kept taking my money due to the care my loved one needed. I moved my loved one out of this community after two months. I wouldn't recommend this community to anyone.

One of the least expensive senior living options in the area, but there is a reason for that. The building is dated and suffers frequent maintenance issues, including apartments on the first and second floors getting flooded from rooms above. Roach infestation is very evident. The food is inconsistent at best. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful.

This facility is terrible. No management, no communication. Uninspired food, no salad bar since it was closed by the health department. The worst place to live and has gotten worse since I moved in .

This is for the Corp headq thanks for no virus now not [name removed] fault but yours the food sucks I am losing muscles because not enough meat the food distributor is bad our chef and crew is great but their not getting the product no decent fresh fruit 1banana a week don’t cut it we are getting old outdated stuff out of distributors also the portions are really funny we get chicken with no meat understand u didn’t want to give us anything but coffee no juice No milk etc I hv an ear to capital how Much stimulus did u get any way make it easier on us and don’t pick on our management do not raise my rent this year 200 in 3 years is ridiculous my mother lives here too I wish u deduct the money I am giving u for food and order out you will get old

My mother has a studio apartment here on the bottom floor. The food isn't good. The maintenance team has entered her apartment without knocking a couple of times. Right now, the community is on lock down because of the Covid-19 pandemic and as a result, the quality of the food has continued to decrease. The management has also recently changed and my mother seems to like him. My mother gets three meals a day and gets housekeeping services for her room. It doesn't seem they have cleaned my mother's carpets.

Very non-responsive to requests, calls and support. Their COVID19 actions were late and subsequently at least a dozen residents were infected along with several staff members. Getting information on our loved one at the facility is non-responsive. They recently were sold and they have BIG issues here. Stay away and if you can, remove your loved one immediately. Very expensive care and you definitely don't get what you pay for!

My mother-in-law lived in the assisted living side for 3 years and we regretted it almost from the beginning. Lots of talk during the sales pitch but you quickly discover that they are not capable of the follow through. We found other options but she just didn't have the energy to move again. Most of the CNA’s there did as good a job as they could but they were spread so thin. I think it is poorly managed from the very top. The nurse is next to impossible to reach. The food was awful with the occasional (as in once every 4 to 5 months) special meal. Residents complained all the time with no improvement. It was not a happy environment.

Brookdale advertises as a caring place. I beg to differ. If a resident needs assistance, and calls or presses their button, NO ONE COMES. Aside from the fact that the food has gone downhill, very poor quality, this is not a safe place to put your loved one. Now, there are some wonderful staff people but management is more interested in defending themselves and not really listening to or understanding what the resident is trying to communicate. Find another facility. Trust me on this one.

There are some wonderful staff members at this facility. However, this does not make up for the lack of response when a resident presses the button they were given to get help in their room. No one seems to care. No one shows up. The other day a woman was screaming for help in her quarantined room for 20 minutes and finally, another resident called the front desk and demanded assistance, saying there was an emergency. Finally, someone came up. This issue has been brought to the attention of the management to no avail. Find another facility for your loved one.

I have a loved one in this facility. I do not recommend this place because if you need help while in your room and you press the button they give you, NO ONE SHOWS UP! This has happened four times already in two months and this issue has been discussed with management to no avail. If you need help, you have to try to get someone to call the front desk and then you MIGHT get someone to come up to your room. And even then the help you get might not be helpful. For example, the person was choking but able to breathe and talk. After 35 minutes a nurse finally came up and tried to give the Heimlich Maneuver which wasn't appropriate for this situation. The other day a woman was screaming for help in her quarantined room. The front desk was called and someone finally showed up. Think more than twice before you subject your family to this.

Dementia and alzheimer residents are with the general population. This can be difficult for residents who do not have this issue. Residents will not have a place for refuge. Sad for residents with those conditions, but it makes it hard for the general population.

There no safety for seniors, elevator is always broken. They have maintenance staff try to repair it instead of licensed elevator service. They make excuse elevator is 30 years old mean while residents cant leave there apartments at all if on 2nd or 3rd floor for weeks at times because elevator not working. Fire department having to come to carry resident up and down stairs if they have md appointments like they dont have other things to attend to because this facility feels they dont need to do the right thing and repair correctly if cant get parts because its 30 years old as they claim then replace it. Yes its independent but it's also seniors and its unacceptable to have this happening constantly. Thank you for at least bringing there meals to them seeing they pay alot to live there that's the least you could do.

Independence Court is very filthy and neglects elderly residents. People sit in urine soaked clothing for hours. The staff to resident ratio is poor. Fecal matter can be found on chairs and railings. Cleaning staff is lazy. Evidence of roaches in resident rooms, some rooms have a bed bug infestation. The property is under construction and has NO barriers in place to keep people safe, which means the risk of injury or death is high. Residents are exposed to uncovered electrical wires, exposed nails and other construction hazards. This place puts profits over safety everyday and will lie to cover up injuries.

WE ARE NO LONGER THERE, WE LEFT AFTER AN VERY EXPERIENCE WEEK, AS IT WAS MORE DANGERS FOR US TO BE THERE THAN IN OUR OWN HOME ALONE.

It is so sad to think that Broadmore does not give the help that is needed to our loved ones. I heard and heard over and over again from the staff we will take care of the needs of my dad when he was there. He could have been a great asset to Broadmore for his age of 105 when he passed May of this year. They never even called to tell me he passed and let Hospice take care of it. And at that it did not seem proper. No one cared. But they cared to get the monthly rent... As of now we are over 5 months and they owe me money for May and only for about 10 days and no they have not contacted me. I contacted them and yes they owe me a small amount that is a drop in bucket to them. I am told in simple terms after numerous emails to them that I have to simply wait my turn for a refund. Riciculous!! I am sorry they work in this way because let you be late to pay and you get charged a late fee. I would hope none of you reading this run into problems but from what I read now some already learned the non care you can expect... Thanks and sorry that this company running the Broadmore places make you wait in a so called line to maybe get the funds you deserve. After all our loved ones paid dearly to them...

We are moving my dad out of Elmcroft. When he first arrived the place was great. They had a major turnover in employees and it has gone downhill fast. One example is my father has a wound and needs bandages changed every day. They do not and it is no longer a safe place for your family member. We are moving him out in two days. It will be such a relief. I have spoken to other residents who feel the same way. Last week I counted out of 70 rooms. 33 were empty. That should tell the story.
