The place sucks. The nurses are very rude they don't inform you on what's going on with your loved ones they do whatever they want to do this is the second incident that my mom has been her at the facility and nobody could tell me what's going on or how it happened. I've also been accused of sexual assault on their staff members. Now they want to backtrack and say that they've never said that the place is a joke I would never leave my parent at this facility [name removed] is a [language removed]. Like to talk [language removed] but then don't have no proof to back it up

Old facility. Dated Décor. Depressing atmosphere. Terrible Location.

I wouldnt let my dog there. No furniture in the hallways anymore, no vending machines. From what I see the workers are leaving left and right. There are never enough workers. New management sucks, one walks around with a clipboard walks like she [removed]. The rooms might look pretty, but thats all its got going for it.

While the staff can be very helpful and kind, the new director has no clue what she is doing! This place is going downhill fast if you don't get new leadership!

Don’t allow this place to care for your family member. My Mother is there for therapy after a knee replacement . They do not answer her call bell. She waits over 2 hrs for assistance to the bathroom . She had to call me from her cell and then I call the facility to tell them to help her . Spoke with the administrator yesterday and was promised this would not happen again but was woken up at 7am with another call from my mother that she’d been calling for help to the bathroom since 5am and no one came . Again I had to call the facility and tell them to help her . She is paying out of pocket for this stay . So very disappointed , we were promised she would receive execellent care at Broadmore .

Would not recommend . Terrible care . My Mother in Law has been there for only 3 days and has not received proper care . She needs assistance to get from wheelchair to bed and help into the bathroom . She waited 2.5 hrs for someone to help her into bed her first night and didn’t get help until she called me and I had to call there and yell . This happened again this morning and this was after I spoke to the administrator . Very sad families have to go through this .

Our relative is a resident of Elmcroft of Martinsburg, WV. This facility is well maintained and has friendly day-to-day caregivers. Although this is not a memory care facility, the management continues to retain our loved one who they recognize (for years) has memory issues. Further, during 2018 Elmcroft added a front door lock because of managements concern our relative would freely leave without managements consent, contradicting the position our relative is “capable of making decisions.” Elmcroft Martinsburg management repeatedly attempts to prevent our family from relocating our loved one, to be closer with family, under the false veil our relative is capable of making independent decisions thus remains at this same facility. We very much appreciate the fine efforts of the day-to-day caregivers yet shocked how management is uses our relative’s insurance coverage as a cash cow guaranteeing income for the facility. For these reasons we do not recommend this facility and give it an overall one star rating.

The sales manager only spoke to me (the son) in a low voice and rarely spoke directly to my mother. We had to wait for lunch, only 30 min, but the sales mgr left us alone in the lobby. When I asked about VA benefits he became irritated and said that if I asked another question about VA he would get up and leave. He was very rude and disrespectful. Not one staff member came by and spoke to us while we were there. Only one client welcomed us. Very disappointed. My mother felt very slighted by the sales manager. Also the elevator smelled like someone mopped the floor with a mildew mop.

Friend had a respite stay and this was the only place on short notice. The facility is filthy! I was shocked they could be open. The kitchen is so dirty it has to be unhealthy. The health department would close it if it were a restaurant!! The food was not edible. Recreational listings were impressive. Most staff were very nice but complained a lot and also talked about other patients and their families Very glad when my friend left.

Don't be deceived by the friendly staff and beautiful facility. Their top priority seems to be filling beds, whether or not they are equipped to care for your loved one. Chances are, they probably are not. Once residents start needing more care because of physical or cognitive issues, they are not able to provide adequate care. The daily staff is wonderful, for the most part. Lots of management issues, staff turnover, lack of training, and not enough staff.

Toured here yesterday also. Not impressed. Pricing is much higher, and based on each and every extra service. Did not show me the ALF, just the independent area which was very congested, needs a lot of "cosmetic" work done, both inside and outside. Have to go outside from your building to main building to get to dining room. Just not appealing to me.

I will give 1 star due to the caring aids, nurses, and non-administrative staff at the Bridges. However, when an extremely dangerous situation occurred resulting in police returning my mom to the Bridges, the administration was [removed] and nontransparent. After several phone calls, a trip to the Warwick police station and obtaining the information from my moms fitbit that she showed had walked 9.6 miles, I was able to get to the bottom of the events. Not only did the staff not investigate the event after she was returned by the police, they had no intention of calling her family to notify us of the situation. In response to my mothers getting lost was a mandatory "wander guard". Which meant every time my mom got close to the door the door would lock. Therefore when she would want to smoke an aide would have to take her out to smoke. But because the Bridges is close to full capacity the aide was unable to stay with her, so she would be left locked out of the facility and wait until someone could let her in. I recently found out that she waited and waited, and during that time went for a walk to the giant! This became a great source of stress, not to mention that the only option was a bracelet that look her independence away. The newness of this facility leads to a lack of policy and procedures. I have since taken my mother out of the Bridges and not one member of the administrative staff has reached out to my family to express any remorse for the situation. Yet, the day after she left $6,325.00 was taken from her account.

We went to set up our tour and found that things were not on the up and up. We looked at the reviews online and found that they were not good as well. I really did not like the way the staff worked with the residents.

I did not have a good experience with this community. My mother was all set to move in, but she fell and broke her hip. So she had to go into rehab, and from there a nursing home. She never made the move into Atria, and they would not refund me my money. I did not think that was right of them to keep our money when she never moved into the community.

If you have a love one of you do not take them to this place horrible have to take my friend out after 17 days

What a joke never in my life have I been so embarrassed to have my parents stay at a senior living facility I have came in numerous times and found my mother soaking wet my father very confused I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody

Things are not going well at all. [removed] They have no idea how it got like that. Not a good situation.Right now he is in rehab and I refuse to send him back there. His clothes were all missing, personal possessions and it was just disgusting. The Memory Care Unit is horrible. You could not even stay in the room because of the smell. We will not be going back. Right now we have no place for him to go. Assisted Living is nothing like this.

My loved one has been in Elmcroft for 4 years - during which time there have been at least 5 head nurses and equally as many Executive Directors. The current Management Team doesnt communicate with their staff - nor do they respond to the needs/inquiries of the patient's family. They only respond under legal threat or by contacting their corporate offices The staff is wonderful! Would do anything for you . . . as long as they are "allowed." They are all afraid of losing their jobs. They put on a very good show of their facilities, staff, friendliness, etc. But if you are someone who likes answers and expects phone calls or e-mails to be returned, don't place your loved one here!

Staff favorite words are i dont know (idk).Missing othes toiletries. Found dads meds on floor in pocketz. Missinv foot doctor appt now has incectjon between toes. Cant find diabegic testing supplies shen regular nurse .absent. upcharges while advised all care was flat fee. Deplorable nonchalant attitude of management

Absolutely disgraceful from the reception staff to the literal human warehousing of the elderly.I wouldn't place my dog there leave alone a human being!!!
