Housekeepers are way over worked. It's infested with bugs the food is not great and the lack of keeping employees is horrible. They don't have linen that is suppose to be provided if you have none. It's suppose to be independent living... it's not!! The place is horrible

Our family had an in person tour and from the moment we walked in we knew this was not going to be the place for our loved one it was beyond inhabitable.

We ended up moving my loved one out of the community after a short stay. My loved one fell in the community within the first few days. The community didn't communicate with the family that our loved one fell and had to be taken to the hospital. The hospital actually had to call me to inform us. The family would communicate concerns and care issues we wanted the community to work on such as making sure to keep our loved one hydrated. This wasn't happening for our loved one by the staff. The community was keeping the residents out of their rooms and in with other residents in common areas. The family was told that the community would allow our loved one to be in their room to feel more comfortable in the community. They weren't willing to accommodate the food requests for the residents, even though they promised the family they would. We never saw activities being done with the residents.

Our family had experience with Atria and it did not meet the expectations and it just felt dark and dingy

At first this.was very well run. Since the latest merger with Atria things have become very much worse. Residents are treated with disrespect and like unreasonable people. Food has become poor and service is almost rare. New manager is not concerned about residents. She should be replaced before the ship sinks.

My mother moved in to Regency Residence in Port Richey Florida in [date removed]. Since then, the place has changed hands and it been a disaster. Not only for my mother, but most residents. There is no organization, no rules being followed and much more. Covid recently put the place on lockdown. No one wearing masks to help prevent spread. They are very short staffed. Every time I speak with my mother I get so upset that she is living in these conditions, especially with the amount of rent the people are paying. Prices are going up? For what? Bus for the Residence has had mileage cut from 12 miles to 5? It's very sad that residents who wanted to be in a nice place to live are not getting what they paid for. Broken elevators, broken front door for anyone to walk right in. No one at front desk most of the time. Someone has dropped the ball!

I would never recommend this facility. We were working with them for a long time and right at the end when we needed to move my loved one they said they could not help us an pulled the plug, we were shocked. They were very disorganized and it was just overall a terrible experience.

I would recommend you don't go to this community. We ended up having to provide care and bathing assistance for my loved one instead of the community. I ran the sweeper in my loved one's room, as the staff wasn't cleaning the room. They served turkey to my loved one three nights in a row. We ended up moving my loved one out of the community as they weren't holding up their end of the agreement. I didn't see any activities going on in the memory care unit. The administration was available and they only addressed the concerns the family had once.

This place is terrible. Staff if very rude and have terrible attitudes. I have a medical and religious exemption to a facemask that causes harm. Title 18 u.s.c 242 " whosoever under any law, statute ,ordinances, religion or custom, willfully subjects any person in any state shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years. One should look elsewhere if you truly care about your loved ones

Do not place your loved ones in this building. The staff is very rude all management including [name removed] the nurse and her friend [name removed] are nasty rude they do not take care they don't want to help the staff they are not nice and their doctor on board [name removed] is a joke. [name removed] and [name removed] are very lazy they lie constantly are we Management in there that has respect is [name removed].. you walk into the activity room the carpets are filthy and they smell like pee they have not changed their furniture they're soaked in urine.

First floor rooms flood and nothing has been done to stop it. There are roaches in the hallways and dining room. At least three rooms have bed bugs.

Unfortunately Poet's Walk was not a good fit for our loved one, the friendliness of the aids were great but when it came to the day to day staff and management that really did vary.

We were very disappointed in our experience. I explained what we needed and they gave me a price and they said they would re evaluate after 30 days and they ended up marking the price way up. We had to leave because it was too expensive.

Unless you are RICH RICH RICH this is not the place for you. Almost [fee removed] for a studio - get real people. How are older people supposed to live in a decent place when a senior on limited income.

I would not recommend this community to others. I was made promises that the community did not keep. Overall this was a horrible experience. I initiated a conversation with the staff and they were quick to call back. The food was not good at all and nothing was fresh it was all canned and processed.

The cleanliness of the grounds were okay, the friendliness of the staff really depended on who you talked to. It was just not a good experience, our loved one had dementia and was combative at times, however this facility did not know how to handle it.

Horrible place to put a loved one. You can literally smell urine and feces in the place. Very unsanitary. Nurses abd staff seem inpatient and overworked. Free month and deals means poor service.. Look elsewhere.

They are not organized enough. My mother fell and no one knew about it and they didn't notify me about her fall. Some of the caregivers are good and some are not so good. We chose this community because I thought it would be a good place,. They were supposed to have a nurse on duty at all time but they didn't the last months. The food was okay and they offered variety but too many sweets and too much junk food was served. I would not recommend this community.

Never in my life would I expect what happened to my father here I had an excellent meeting with [name removed] and the nurse [name removed] my dad passed everyting he had to do. We took three days going over places to stay and from Thursday [date removed] I was told he would be paying the $195 level of care that INCLUDED two showers a week , meds given to him at station which only is two of them, help with dressing and they put him on toilet three times a day. This was all included, for the higher price of $195. I asked over a three day period to the nurse and to the sales rep, and Yes $195 a day. Our move-in date was today [date removed], and I get a phone call at 845 am that now the care is an extra $82 a day. I nearly flipped that is another $1148 for two weeks? Are they insane? Who sets a price and on move in a day increases it? Only a company that is money-driven and not care driven. It was a verbal contract with more than one person and I have witnessed and their own brochure says clearly $150 to $195. The upper limit is clear... not added fess on move in day. Who in their right mind would even be employed by such a poorly run company? I contacted corporate and have a case number and [name removed] didn't have the courtesy to even call me herself to tell me the increase. The sales rep said no one has ever paid more. I asked for a call from [name removed] the division of operations and no phone call to me. How rude can someone be.? I will keep follwing up with their coperate office, I will surely let them realize they are making a family's life miserale not that they even care. When you have to make such horrible decisions for your family there should be compassion and comfort, not a dollar sign to get more from the eldely SHAME ON YOU BROOKDALE YOU ARE A DISRESPECTFUL HORRIBLE COMPANY TO DO THIS TO OUR SENIOR POPULATION. IF i CAN GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR i WOULD , MORE LIKE A FALLEN STAR. KARMA IS ALL I CAN SAY ,,,,,, ALL OF YOU HAVEV PARENTS AND THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU ALSO!!!!! AND IT SHOULD

Smelled strongly of urine. Run down with limited facilities, but somehow just as expensive as places that are much nicer. The sales person was very professional and friendly. She was the one bright spot there.
