They have a lot of things to do, regarding the activites. I picked this community because it was affordable, and I really liked the apartment that I have. There has been an increase in the rent. They can do more things, to make the residents feel like familiy. It would be nice, if packages could be delivered to the door. They deliver meals daily to the residents, but that delivery is an extra cost.

The meals is not good. Some of the staff is mean. I would look for something else. I picked this community, because it really seemed much better than it was. I would not recommend to others.

I think they offer an amazing number of activities here. Every day they have cards, bingo, something called domino trains, and exercise (although no exercise equipment -they just use chairs and other things- no exercise equipment. They have bands (country western) nearly every week as well as various religious services. They only have 4 rooms and the atrium to do activities. They also have outings, to grocery stores, to casinos and today there was a KC Royals game outing. So they have a very active social director. That's all I can think of

I'm just here for temporary as we build a house in Loxahatchee. A lot of permanent residents complain. The facility suits my purposes well. Maid service & repair men are readily available. They made come as once a week and does an adequate job. I am able to get Select physical and occupational therapy services through a physicians recommendation. The community provides transportation, although since I am disabled from a car accident, I cannot use it much and rely on private transportation. It's very lovely community, beautifully landscaped with several attractive lakes, lots of birds and other wildlife. How does in the dining services I give it a high recommendation. By the way, the fellow residents are nice people. I am an independent living thank goodness. There is also at this facility accommodation for assisted-living.

I know we toured DeSoto Beach Club as one of several communities. Although it was beautiful we did not feel that there were enough activities or employees for Mom.

Overall it's a good experience, and it's the most affordable place in Sarasota and Bradenton that I know of. The only thing we didn't like is the staff response when something was broken. The shower was not reinforced with concrete when it was installed, so my Dad was able to poke a hole in the shower floor and it was never fixed. And the cleaning crew didn't clean much - but in their defense, my dad probably needed more care than most people on the independent living side of things.

The staff is very kind, but lack any sense of urgency. Having said this, like all places like this, they are extremely short staffed. The food was awful. I'm unsure if I would recommend this facility to family and friends.

The day to day staff, nurses, aids, and the cooks were wonderful, however we had a problem with the upper management. The billing was constantly wrong and we were always overcharged. Our loved one was not there very long and when we asked what the charges were, we never got an explanation. The prices just kept raising without telling us, and the pharmacy that they used and we were required to use was horrible. They would order medication that would take weeks and weeks to get there, and management was just not on top of these things. Also the cleaning staff was not on top of their game.

Just make sure you ask questions. It just wasn't a good fit for my mom. With Parkinson's and not being very social. They really didn't work well with the Parkinson's. She needed to be in a place with more care. She just sat in her room. But we just didn't know that was going to be the case.

The staff interacting directly with residents are doing a great job considering they are not paid well and not trained enough. The staff dealing with the business/financial side are not as caring/understanding. During my career I was a business manager and understand there is a fine line dealing with making money vs. making employees and residents happy. I was not happy with the business end at Celebration Villa.

We toured Celebration Villa and thought it was fine - there was nothing wrong with it. But there was a dramatic difference between it and the place we chose - in terms of appearance, amenities, care, food, activities, etc.

We picked this community because, it was the closest, it was clean, and it came off as a good first impression. They are extremely short staffed. They would need to hire more people, to improve the care services. It takes too long to respond if they do respond. They are friendly. The food is not warm when my loved one receives meals. On the weekends, no one is really taking out the trash. Overall, I would not recommend this facility.

My mom was very happy here for the first 6 months, but then everything changed. Over the past year, services have slipped considerably and 6-7 of the well-liked staff have left. Room cleaning and sheet & towel changes are inconsistent (mom has had to ask after 2-3 weeks); the food is good but residents wait 45 minutes to 1 hour to get served just about every meal (including for a bowl of cereal); there are lots of activities listed on the calendar but they are often cancelled (30%-50% of the time) or no staff shows up to get things started. Residents hardly show up now. Most worrisome is when my mom has felt sick and is told someone will follow up, they often don't. I understand staffing is an issue everywhere, but nothing has improved in 8 months! It's a beautiful facility, the food is very good, and they handle COVID quarantining well. However, my mom is annoyed and bored a lot. This is not what we were promised.

They do great with the activities and she loves the food. There have been some concerns on whether they are making sure she is cleaned up daily and clothes changed. We have been up quite a few times and she has had the same clothes on 4 days in a row. The staff is very friendly.

I would tell others looking into Brookdale Deer Creek that they over promise, but under-deliver.

Satisfied with the facility except there have been NO activities for the residents. I think it's important that the residents have activities.

The staff is friendly, however they raise the cost of rent 10% annually and move every resident to month to month after 1st year. Making it hard for seniors on fixed income to stay. Food is decent, but no snacks or drinks throughout day as advertised. Recently hired an activities director. Takes a long time to have meals sometimes 1.5-2 hours to receive food and eat. Typically clean in common areas. Office staff is hard to get a hold of, but extremely nice when you do get ahold of them

Dad has been here for about 2 months, as far as the facility goes, we have no complaints. The food and the care have been very good. We have a problem with money being stolen from his apartment on 3 different occasions. Atria is kind of blowing it off and they do not have security cameras. They said the best that we could do would be to put camera inside of his apartment. If you took the theft issues out, I would have zero problems, it has been great.

I think the community could improve on staffing, I believe they are a little short on staffing care for the residents. I think doors should be locked at night for the memory care residents so residents cannot wonder without supervision. They have a patio that leads to outside that they do not lock at night and residents have wondered outside without the staffing knowing they were even gone. Communication has been terrible, when a hurricane happened I had not been notified, or updated on what was happening.

We picked this community because, Initially my loved one was going to be in the personal care facility and it we were impressed with what we saw. We really like all that level of care had to offer. That's why we chose it. But they were moved to the memory care unit shortly after their arrival. That is the reason for the low scores, the memory care unit.
