Rooms are fine for 2 people. The food is fine. The staff works hard but they need more. None of the services they offered seemed to materialize in full.

They did not appear to keep individual laundry separated as they claimed during the tour and multiple items were missing when we moved out. The on-site management tries to be responsive but seem to be overwhelmed. It takes a minimum of 3-5 attempts to get a response from them. It was similarly very difficult to connect with the attending medical providers who visit the facility weekly. My experience had its ups and downs, complicated by my distance from the facility (4-5 hr drive). Based on limited interactions, clinical staff seemed compassionate and responsive, and experienced with dementia patients. The one meal I was there for looked pretty good. The facility is bigger and more spacious than many others. On the corporate side they will rigidly adhere to a 30-day notice policy, even in some questionable circumstances. I think staff tries to be up front with this information but ultimately they have no discretion when it comes to corporate policies. Ultimately, my loved one was there for a couple of months and they kept her happy and safe. I think it is a better option for people who can visit their resident frequently and that many of the things I found challenging would not have been as problematic if I lived closer. I also never received a financial statement of charges withdrawn through autopay. We moved my loved one out a week ago and I've asked for it multiple times but they haven't sent it and have not responded to phone, text, or email messages since we left.

House keeping is good. Maintenance Man poor attention to repair tasks

Nice people but management changed 3x in 6 months. They took money out of dads account without authorization even after he was no longer there for multiple months. He fell out of bed and had a subdural hematoma. He laid on floor for unknown length of time. Other facilities have motion sensor alarms that have to be canceled in room. I would highly recommend that feature

I would tell others that they need to be cautious about what they're told versus what is in a written agreement and even in the written agreement things like housekeeping and laundry, have not been maintained

My ex-husband lived there for many years and I would visit him on a regular basis, which is something I suggest people do to go on a regular basis when you’re not expected. Overall, my ex was taking good care of even as his dementia worsened and he had to wear diapers. He would break out in rashes a lot, and I never really seem to be able to get good answers why that was happening and in fact, that’s my only concern. It was very hard to get direct answers about what was happening with him, when I wanted medical updates. More importantly towards the end when he was on hospice and appeared to be getting worse, had my daughters and I not gone there. I’m not sure they would’ve provided the care that he needed. It was only after we went and started raising concerns with the Hospice that they had chosen and the administration of BROOKDALE that he ended up getting a hospice care nurse which he should’ve had earlier and appropriate hospice care. I don’t know how long he would’ve languished.

Read contract thoroughly to ensure accuracy. Review staffing and longevity of employees. Take accurate notes of all conversations to ensure what is represented and promised truly gets delivered. Pay attention to any discrepant information received from staff. Request an orientation on move in day. Obtain written information on meal times, salon services, trips, laundry days, assistance with showering if needed, etc. Overall, clean, beautiful facility with nice, friendly staff.

The people there were extremely nice and tried to accommodate us, unfortunately in the end they were not able to. The buildings farther back into the development needed updating. The grounds themselves looked very well kept. I was not impressed at all with the dining / arts & crafts room they had in the individual buildings (at least not the one we were shown) there was a person sleeping in a wheelchair all alone in that dining room. The main area was very nice and looked updated.

My mom was only there for three nights before an incident occurred, and they made her leave. But I did not notice anyone coming in to help her dress or get her up in the morning. The activities were nice and the facility was beautiful, but it did not work out for my mom. It was not a very good experience for us.

I would recommend it to others. Hi the community you choose is basically about getting involved with your neighbors and finding connections with them. The food , the care, the mgmt, the cleaning are all equal. How willing are you as a resident to be able to do this is the key.

We had to pay partial first month and when he was in the hospital we had to pay for the 2nd month although he was in the hospital and then rehab, they offered to take him back but he couldn't get up and would not fit the criteria although they said he did. He really didnt . so I had to pay for that month. If he was ok I think he would have loved the place. Everyone was extremely nice, I think I just ran onto the problem s because he got ill so quickly and we were all so frustrated. But everyone there was kind about everything and tried to accommodate. Ours was a special circumstance so maybe not the beat person to respond to this

Small amount of people that live there I think only 100 so if they get to know their people more.

They seem very disorganized and do not answer the phone. They had a change of the DON 3 weeks ago. We still do not have an online account that I know of. Activities and PT/OT are a 5. Very clean.

It does seem to be improving overall. The room is a nice size and is kept clean. It took our loved one a few months to fully settle in, but they do like the room and appreciate that it's quiet. It can be difficult at times to distinguish who is a staff member. Concerns that were brought to administration did not always receive follow-up or clear communication. That said, the wellness nurse has been especially helpful in coordinating care and has been a strong point of support. The memory care dining area feels very dark, and the food there does not appear as fresh as what is served in the main dining room. There have also been instances where medications were left behind rather than being fully supervised, which was reported but not addressed. It's also concerning that many residents in memory care spend much of the day sitting or sleeping in common areas. It would be nice to see more regular engagement or volunteers spending time with them. The residents we've met have been very kind and friendly. Overall, our loved one seems content. However, it's important to stay involved and regularly check that daily care needs - such as hygiene and personal routines - are being consistently met.

They dance around questions if I send an email with multiple questions they may answer one so now I send separate emails with only one question even then the question isn't always fully answered. If I call they usually aren't available and I ever get a call back. It's not horrible people are nice it doesn't smell but it is frustrating when you have to spend a lot of time trying to get answers that could be cleared up quickly. The PA is really good I like her.

It was nice and clean a little too expensive and the room was very small for the price. The people there were very nice and friendly. The ground were beautiful. And the residents looked very happy. Thank you for all your help

Overall, insufficient floor staff to memory care resident ratio. I have to advocate for my mom to get 2x=wk shower, Have staff put on Dr ordered compression socks each am, Not give her foods that are medically documented dietary restrictions, Provide 1 person assist with ALL transfers, Do brief checks at 2 hours, Peri care and toilet use. Dining Hall visibly dirty (food sticky on floor, chairs, table legs). Activity Lead does a good job, but facility needs to pay for live entertainment each week.

The sales pitch and the actual documents with the management are two separate things and not very clear. They raised the monthly fee on the person I found to reside there in four months instead of after six months, which was the agreement time. They are very dishonest in their dealings and I would not recommend this place to anybody

I still like it but the recent take over has created havoc with the onboarding process and back office operations.

The staff is nice but they have a staffing problem. Always someone new. Apartment is rather small. Needs updating carpets lights ect. Food is good. Medical care needs to be better.
