Nice space but did not seem as friendly, clean or caring. Wasn't the right environment for my family member.

I didn't care for the staff when I toured the community.

I'd definitely tell others to take a look at The Retreat at Conyers, Communication on the front end could be better; in the end they didn't manage expectations well and they could've fixed that. But, in general, we were happy with them.

I really liked The Bungalows, this would have probably been our first choice but the medication management was very expensive. The pricing is not all inclusive so you do not know what you pay each month.

This community was assisted living and me and my loved one were not at this stage just yet. We just knew that this was not the right place for us.

The level of attentiveness at this community and what we are praying is not what I was expecting it could be better. When we first moved my mother in it was great and the staff were very attentive to my loved one. They got new management and everyone left and things just changed. She was supposed to be getting a higher level of care and they are not helping with things that they are supposed to be helping with. The community is phenomenal and some of the staff are great but the care has greatly declined. Its like the backbone of the facility right now is not great, the kitchen staff and cleaning staff seem to be committed more than the other staff.

You are not going to get enough services for your money at this community we were promised more than what we actually got. The meals were the same thing over and over and my loved one did not eat most of the days. He either just had family bring him meals or eat snacks because of the meals. They had activities like bingo but my loved one did not participate in the activities at this community.

The communication needs to be improved greatly, that right now is our biggest complaint. When it comes to the meals it says they are all chef inspired but they all taste process and the vegetables are cooked to mush. The activities are minimal and uninspiring, the community just does not have that happy and bright environment we were hoping for. They also are not licenses which is a big deal to us.

During Covid times, the communication is average to below average. They weren't telling me when my loved one was eating in her room vs. in the dining room. They served food in Styrofoam containers, like you get leftovers in at restaurants. Food was not delivered on time, so it was cold. Maybe they were understaffed, but I can't say for sure because they didn't communicate with us about it. They didn't have any activities, and they didn't want the residents to leave and come back. Now that Covid restrictions have eased, their activities are still very weak. They just have Bingo, and you never really see any residents that are needing more help get an opportunity to get on the bus to go anywhere. If I didn't take my loved one out, she would never get to go on any outings. The residents look bored, and I see them just sitting in the library. It's not a very active community, even for people who need extra help. I will say the ladies at the reception desk are very kind to the residents. They listen to them and are very calming and sympathetic. And I appreciate them and what they do very much.

This community was an older setting. We felt like things were being done for updates but not much at the time. We did not feel like there were enough activities and that there would be transportation as we needed. Someone was also smoking in the hall and my loved one did not like this. Even though they were told to not smoke in the rooms they were still doing it and my loved one did not like this.

I was not happy with some of the staff at this community. They allowed my loved one to lay with a dirty diaper until we said something to them about it. They also owe a refund and I still have not heard back from them for about 2 1/2 months .

I would recommend you look elsewhere. The staff is very friendly and accommodating; however, some of the services offered didn't meet up to the standards expected. There could be a new cook due to the taste and food choices offered. There has been several staff members that have left.

We've had some issues. Response time on the call buttons is not really good. Sometimes you have to wait extra long periods of time to get your medication. I think they're pretty understaffed, which I know they're working on. But it has created some lags in service. The staff are pretty friendly overall, and it seems to be getting better working through these issues with them. But it has taken a while. The food is pretty good, but I would like to see more variety and more everyday common foods, things like simple meat, beans, and potatoes, as opposed to fancier things like steak. I think it's a nice facility, but it's on the pricier side, and for what we're paying, I expect better service.

This was just not the right community for my loved one. They needed him to be at a different level of care than where he was at. This community was good we just didn't get too deep into the tour once we found out my loved one could not stay there

This community was really great and it was a nice tour. The value for the cost and the location were the main two important factors for us.

The quality of the meals could use some improvements, the meals did not seem really cooked. Also, the ladies in the dining room were not very nice they were pretty rude.

Our family had an in person tour and it was a really good tour, it still highly considered, but the floor plan our loved one would of had wasn't going to work. We did not need a cottage for our loved one.

We were not the biggest fans of Myrtle Beach Manor. It is an older facility and needs some updates/TLC.

The housekeeping needs improvement big time. The meals are very early. Activities are daily. Having a doctor on staff is very beneficial, which gives them access to a portable x-ray machine. The response time when the call button is pressed needs improvement. And communication from management to the families needs to improve as well. But I really like that they offer different levels of care, from independent living all the way up to memory care, all in one place.

I like the workers here, they are very friendly, especially the day workers. The meals and dining right now are not the best, we just got out of a lock down and during the lock down there was a few times i did not receive breakfast. When I would receive breakfast it was served to close to lunch time. The activities are also still pretty limited right now.
