The residents seem very happy overall to be there. The staff really tries to be attentive and have the best interest of the residents. Like everywhere though, they seem to be short staffed. Rooms are a very nice size and they offer as many amenities as you can with memory patients. My mom really enjoys the hair and nail amenities. Not so much the activities. They try the best they can.

I was attracted to them because of their rating of 9.7! Medication techs have not given medication on 2 different occasions. I would give them a 0 on care services. I would not refer them to anyone.

Rates are extremely high for the value. The people are great, the food is good. Housekeeping is poor. Activities are good, but not geared towards residents who are visually impaired. My dad is happy, but bored a lot. I clean his room and change his sheets weekly even though these services are “included”. Nursing care is ok, but you have to stay actively involved.

I would recommend to others. I picked them because of the location and the fact that it felt new and clean.

The facility was short handed a lot. Didn't really have time to clean rooms as they should. I think Mom liked it ok she never really complained. being short handed hurt them some but they had some good employees. It took a couple of months to get her deposit back. I had to contact home office several times. The administrator was not that cooperative. A lot of residents left when a new charter home came in town but I understand they had same problems. Mom passed before the charter home came in.

With all of these scores at times some categories were as low as 1 or 2. We developed a very strong working relationship with Director of Nursing and CNAs. When we had issues ( with Care and there were several) they were always addressed and our dissatisfaction was highly validated and support. Turnover is always a problem with staff. A few of the CNAs were excellent and went above & beyond and then others were sub par. Overall at times it felt like they were short staffed for resident care. Mom is no longer living in the community. It was time to move her to long term care. Otherwise we would have stayed.

The facility is nice for the money. The office needs updating on its paper work. Tried to get some information from them to help with our VA pension and never could get any help.

They have a nice variety of activities for the residents. Recent renovations are nice. Mom likes it there.

The facility was great while it lasted. It was sold to another company so we had to relocate to another facility. We had no complaints about the Sunrise community, we felt the staff, services and accommodations were great and we would recommend them to other families.

Rooms are good size in Memory Care and Independent Living. Kitchen choices are minimal in Memory Care and hardly a day goes by that something on the menu is not available. Substitutes are common. Many food items not chosen are on the plate anyway. Bread, i.e. dinner rolls, that is on the menu is almost never available. A few times there was no milk in the kitchen to put on dry cereals. The kitchen tries, but is not always flexible.

It's a nice place to stay for retirement! But they need to improve their meals for the Elderly! Some say the meals are crappy and are not well balanced! Lots of sandwiches with hardly no veggies, that are nutritious for the body!

My Mother is doing well at the Phoenix of Hammond. She likes the food. Her apartment is nice in good working order with big beautiful windows. She is even able to have her cat with her. The CNA's are very kind and caring.

If your loved one needs minimal assistance, this seems to be a great place. If you are looking for any level of individual care, I would plan to hire a personal aid. There are some wonderful people there, but they are understaffed and not able to give much individual attention.

Everyone is so welcoming when you enter. [name removed], always has a smile for you as I walk in the door. The front desk staff is also wonderful to work with. Everytime the laundry is done it seems things go missing. His blanket that the Veterns gave him when they visited is missing. Think his name is on it. A nap blanket that the Haven gave him when he left has been missing since his 2nd day [name removed] came. The food is delicious. I have had an anniversary dinner with [name removed] there & the staff was wonderful. I truly like the staff & they seem to care about the residents. I miss [name removed]. She is the best caring person.

Morningside has been wonderful for my mother. They have been very helpful and made my mother's transition from her home to their retirement home, feel like home. The staff is very kind and nice. They're always willing to help as well.

Some building maintenance issues need addressing. Our loved one mostly cooks their own meals. What we like the most about The Phoenix, is just having eyes on my father and the ability to call and see if they've seen him if he's not answering or returning calls.

What we like the most about The Retreat at Loganville is that our loved one can get out and walk around safely and that she has friends there that they will check on her if she's not answering her phone or calling in. We would recommend this community to other families based on the experience we have had so far.

Unfortunately both of my parents passed away within the past year while residing at Sunrise. Shortly before my father died the facility was sold. We found out later that it was being converted to an independent living facility by the new owners (Phoenix). The residents had been given 90 days to find new homes. The staff was in limbo over their jobs. We were so fortunate that the change did not occur before our Dad's passing. Having to give up familiar surroundings and friends must have been devastating for the residents. I'd just like to say that we became very close to the staff caring for our parents. They were like family for the short time we were there and I wish them the best.

Its very nice and have lots of activities. A few complaints about the dining. For instance they are on lock down now for covid and she and several other residents did not get any breakfast this morning

It is nice little clean space that has lots of little entertaining rooms. I seems he get more attention there Not particularly this place, but all these places have increased their prices dramatically over the past 4 or so years. I would definitely recommend The Bungalows at Riverchase.
