Due to COVID the activities are now limited, but beforehand they would play cards games and bingo, they would even take the residents out on little field trips around the community. They also had family night once a month where families could come and eat meals. the food they served was very good.

My husband was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2013. In 2018 it became necessary to place him in a more restrictive environment. After two unsuccessful placements. We were referred to the Phoenix at Milton, Georgia. It was a wonderful Senior Living facility. From their director to every staff member the focus is well by the well-being of the clients. They are patient, caring, innovative and transparent. I am confident my husband is in good hands and in a safe environment. During this difficult time Phoenix of Milton has done an outstanding job and of building my trust. The staff should be commended for their positive, happy, welcoming community.

Very friendly and warm staff. Excellent tour and facility. Check all of the boxes for me on the higher tier of pricing. Middle tier of service is a definite bonus and very thoughtful and well-planned range of services. Loved the rooms and common areas as well.

When we first toured this community it was very clean, and the staff members were super friendly. The location of this community is pretty close to home which was a part of the deciding factor. The have puzzles, games, and exercise classes for the residents to participate in.

We looked at 4 other facilities. We chose The Pearl At Dallas because it is an all memory care facility so he was not mixed in with other people. We also liked the size of the facility, it is split into 2 neighborhoods as they call them. Both neighborhoods are HUGE. He had so much room to walk around, even during the pandemic. They had 2 pretty gardens outside as well. The room sizes here are a little on the smaller side, but compared to what we saw they seemed to be on par. The bathrooms are larger and have walk in showers than others we saw. Before the pandemic, I met my dad for dinner and he always ate his food. Most residents I saw ate their food and I never heard complaints. They always had sugar free ice cream for the residents and that made my dads night. The staff members went out of their way to get residents involved in different activities. I would absolutely recommend. My father was in here for 6 months, but even during the pandemic they set up video calls, got new equipment to set up these calls, and window visits. I cannot speak more highly of them.

I have resided at the Retreat at Conyers for over 5 years. During this period I have witnessed many positive changes, both aesthetic and functional. I'm extremely grateful for your maintenance health regulations you have imposed.

The staff is wonderful. The common areas are clean, bright, well decorated, and cheerful. The services and amenities and activities are stimulating and engaging. My father is well cared for and happy living here! Excellent community!

MY STEPFATHER PASSED AWAY WHILE STAYING AT THE RETREAT AT CANTON. UNDER THOSE CIRCUMSTANCES, WE COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR MORE. THEY, INCLUDING HOSPICE, WERE WONDERFUL. WHEN MY STEPFATHER FIRST ARRIVED HE WAS IN VERY BAD CONDITION. DESPITE HIS CONDITION, HE LOOKED AROUND THE ROOM AND ASKED, "ARE SPENDING ALL MY MONEY?" LATER, HE ASKED, "DID YOU SELL MY FARM?" WE LAUGHED BECAUSE WE UNDERSTOOD. THE RETREAT AT CANTON WAS WELL-WORTH EVERY PENNY SPENT AND IMPRESSED OUR WHOLE FAMILY.

We chose the phoenix because the psychiatrist at the mental hospital we got him evaluated at wanted him in a more secure facility. The phoenix has doors you have to have a key fab to get in and out. It is also closer to where I live. The room sizes here are just fine. The food is just as good or better than any food he has had at any other facility. He has had no complaints at all. My favorite part about this facility has been knowing that my dad is being well taken care of. He has a lot of good friends here as well. I would highly recommend them.

The living space and common areas are great. Plenty of activities and attentive staff who routinely go that extra mile for the residents. While the COVID-19 shutdown and restrictions cut the week-long visit I had planned. I am glad the company has chosen to err of the side of caution.

Nurses are superior. Food good. Smells good and clean.

They have limited their activities due to COVID, but right now they let families or friends make reservations over the phone to come visit and sit outside on the patio. This community has an excellent staff, our loved one is very happy there. It's designed as a memory care facility, it has an excellent floor plan which is one reason we picked this community. It is very accessible for everyone. We would rate the food at this community about a four out of five. The rooms are purposefully small since it is a memory care facility, but they are adequate in size, however you do have to provide your own furniture. Each room has there own AC/heating unit. Not only is Sandy Spring a memory care community, they also have assisted living.

I would tell them it is a very great place. Please check it out. My parents love it there. They still have bingo as an activity during the pandemic. The food is the worst, and my mom is stating the food looks horrible. My parents will sometimes go back to their room and have a sandwich because the food doesn't look good. I feel they should hire a new dietitian. I ran into another caregiver who had just put her parents in this community and her parents didn't like the food and stated they have the worst food. The community is nice, other than the food. As much as we are paying we shouldn't have to go to the store to buy food due to the poor taste and look of the food in the community.

Aside from being brand new, beautiful, and offering many different activities for people depending on our interests, the entire staff is simply fantastic! Every time you encounter a member of the staff they are pleasant, courteous, and always ask whether they can help you with anything and they will do so regardless of whether it's in their "normal" responsibilities. The food is great and the chefs are also always receptive to suggestions from the residents. Every resident we've met has been glad that they have chosen The Phoenix at Union Hill.

My aunt has been at The Phoenix at Dunwoody for 2 years in the memory care unit. She is high functioning and they have made necessary adjustments to incorporate her in the outings with the assisted living residents when these outings were possible prior to Covid 19. While other senior communities have experienced positve Covid cases, this location has maintained high standards and the residents have stayed safe with no cases. No senior community is 100% perfect 100% of the time. But having experienced many years of at-home caregivers prior to her time at The Phoenix at Dunwoody, I can honestly say this is THOUSANDS of times better.
