Seems like a great place. We met with Brent on Saturday and got a tour. We've asked him to start the process of evaluation.

Because there was a awaiting list at Horizon we cancelled our scheduled appointment with Tracy until a later date. However, yesterday we had an appointment with Rio Terra at 1:00 PM where they had a vacancy in their Memory Care Unit and are in process of having my father-in-law admitted to Rio Terra. Thanks for your assistance.

The people are friendly that are on the sales staff, the billing staff, the caregivers, they are great. The nursing supervisors however are not exceptional, they don't communicate with me very well. Response time can be a little slow, I think they just have too many people. The food isn't wonderful, the meat is often tough, and could use better quality of food. I would like to see people come and check in on my loved one a little more often.

This is a lovely facility but may be too independent for our parents at this time. Access to the apartments is outside which was less appealing for our parents. Also the monthly food system was less appealing than other facilities.

Overall they've done a good job. It's a clean place, and the staff seem very nice. One area that could use a lot of improvement is the meal service. The dining service itself can be very slow. The food is decent, I'd rate it at around a 3 out of 5, and they have a nice salad bar.

Very nice open, bright facility. The meal plan is wonderful allowing residents to have their meals when they want to eat, not when they have to eat. Concerned about the fact it is two-story and doors are not locked.

Since my husband has not yet moved into his room, my evaluation is based on what I have see so far. I hope it is even better.

Very nice facility. Probably not financially workable. Referred me to Emeritus Baywood.

After a visit yesterday, I was impressed with the chief who spend time with me, and I enjoyed a lunch. But my disappointment was a $30 per MONTH for pets. It appears that the Terrace Administration is not aware of how important a pet is to the health of the elder person. A pet is a member of the family. I can understand payment a deposit and for any damages the pet may do. But it would be difficult for me to live in a place that charges so much for a pet.

Beautiful facility, Dining room has garden views with waterfall. Apartments have full kitchens, large closets, good natural light and views of garden patio areas. Well equipped exercise area and pool with hot tub. Physical therapy facility on site. WII bowling and good variety of activities. House keeping every 2 weeks, would prefer weekly. Food: salmon was overcooked but the rest of the meal was excellent. Only one meal served on Sunday, brunch. Invited us to theater outing at Kauffman Center, complimentry

We toured this location when we were looking into options for our loved one. it was a nice looking place, although it was larger and not quite as homey feeling as the options we ended up choosing. Since it was a larger facility with many more staff they did have a larger and more complete schedule of activities.

This is a larger facility. It's a lovely place. The apartments are spacious and nice. They had plenty of good food, you just couldn't special order some things, but the dining room was open from 7 in the morning, until 7 at night. They had a bus that carried people to Walmart, and a big piano in the lobby that she would play sometimes. They had a beauty parlor, and all kinds of activities.

I'll start by saying that in terms of care this place was great. My Mom loved it, and they kept her happy and comfortable until she passed. It was after that that we ran into issues. I was never informed that I was continuing to be billed until every scrap of her personal belongings and furniture were off of the property. Although I had been speaking to them while this was going on they never told me I was being charged by the day until everything was out. The front desk person said he did not know, after the fact. They need to make sure that people they assign to speak with customers know the billing rules. The saleswoman, Beverly, was also not respectful and told us "Well, you should have read your contract closer."

My mother was living there, driving a car, and living independently. She had a stroke in July, and she was never able to come back. In general it is a very nice place, she had a nice apartment and really good friends there. The last director left during her illness. She had complaints about this that and the other, which they all do at that age. My mother was lactose intolerant and they didn't really gear the menu for anyone that had that issue so she had great difficulty finding food. We didn't like some of the rules, they are sort of strange but in general it's a nice place. She'd been there for over 8 years. What I do think would be better is if they provided a section with more assistance. You have people living totally independently and something happens and they are never able to return home. There is no in-between section to come back to for help. They had some type of home care program for $20/hour, but they would only come in once in a while. It's not what I would consider assisted living. Some of the residents would talk about the fact that if they got sick, they could never go back to their home. While my mother was there, she mostly sat on her computer and we couldn't get her to be more active. You don't really have that much going on at 87 and she was on the computer like it was her hobby. The Terrace is a good place though for people who can live on their own.

We looked at this community while looking into memory care options for my Dad. The facility itself looked very nice, but I don't think it would have been right for Dad. It was a larger community than what we were looking for, and I feel like with his memory issues it would have been very easy for Dad to get lost. The price ceiling was also very high. It started with an amount we could afford but could almost double based on increasing care needs.

Nice but pricey. I need more information about community fees, activities and menus.

They have lovely people there. The lady that I worked with was just a delightful person but it was too expensive. She did offer me a discount and that was very affordable but the room was but it was on the third floor and it overlooked the parking lot and at that time I was having trouble walking and I also needed assisted living care possibility. They have a lot of activities there and the people were just wonderful. The woman was so gracious and so lovely so I had to call her back and tell her that for health and financial reasons I had to choose another place. She said she understood and she just wanted me to have what I need. I thought that was nice.

The staff provided more relevant information in their materials and presentation than the other facilities giving a good overall impression of an assisted living type of community. The staff was friendly.

The care had been adequate. It's pretty much what my mom needed. I think activity wise they do have some but I would like to see more activities. They've got bingo and they'll have a movie night but each one of those is like once a week and just for one or two hours. My mom isn't able to take advantage of them when they have them just based on the limited amount and the times the do them. Other than that, I'm pretty happy with the way they're taking care of my mother.

The cleanliness and care seem to be very good. They have different charges. You have your basic charge and then your care charge on top of that. They have something going all the time. They have bingo, wine socials once a week or so, devotional services, movies, ice cream socials on Sunday afternoons. They have a good number of activities. They have their busses running to various places for the residents too.
