Very nice facility and staff. The new memory care area looks great. This is my second time to visit in 2 years. We would probably move mother here except there is no place for her to walk. The halls are short and there is no room outside to walk safely.

We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This was a nice looking place, and although it is not what we ended up choosing they looked like they do a fine job here. It is a clean, well kept facility, and all of the staff we spoke with seemed very friendly and professional.

Our guide was very informative answered all our questions. Enjoyed the tour and we were pleased with the accommodations that are provide for the seniors, but a little pricey.

This was one of my top two when we were looking. It was really nice, but it was a little too independent for my loved one. They had kitchens in their rooms, which would have given my loved one the option to not go socialize in the dining room, and it may not have been safe for her. We needed something with just a little more care, and more room to transition as her care needs increased. Still was very nice.

Like any place they over promise and then try to back off once arrived. HZB-SM is an older building that has a great real home feel. The staff is very attentive but it is a business. Mom has early stages ALZ so moving has been very traumatic. My biggest let down is it seems they have not been able to help as well with "new" surroundings and getting that adjustment curve made. Instead they are suggesting move to memory care too often. I just feel this is being suggested to simplify their role. We are finally starting some therapy (only took 6 weeks to get services added) so hope this will make improvements. The food here is off the charts good and I have eaten with mom several times. They finally got the people mover repaired (took about a month) and off site excursions have began again. Wasn't told these were not happening when moved in. The off site component was a sales tool used in the beginning process. I do believe that the staff is looking after the residents in a professional manor but just lacking the extras touch. Everything is by the book - meds and such. I'm seeing that the typical staffing and spreading as thin as possible is also going on here like everywhere else. Don't get me wrong I'm very happy with the staff but feel I was promised more when still looking for a place but reality is now a different scale. The main core of the staff does exit the building at or around 5 pm as the 8 hour shift has gone. Maybe if they staged a few to start later and stay a little later it would be good. With ALZ patients you can't really have a redo and say well this place did a better job with adjustments. So I do ask myself if I'm judging the work they have done too harshly. Sales promises or one thing then reality and move forward. Bottom line mom is in a safe place, has good food and is being looked after. With her condition is she getting the best level of care - probably.

It seemed well kept and well managed, and the staff were friendly and professional. I don't think it would have been a good fit for my loved one, however. It was too big and too fancy for him, he mostly keeps to himself so many of the activities and amenities would have been wasted on him.

We used them for respite. We really only know about the memory care section. There were certain staff who irritated him. There were a couple of days a week that I knew he wasn't going to be happy. The memory care was adapted. It wasn't designed specifically for memory care, and there is a difference when you look at one that is designed that way. We have friends that are here and they love it. This just wasn't the best fit for us.

Enjoyed our visit here too, although it is more expensive, but the staff seemed very attentive and concerned, great location right in the heart of where my aunt has her doctors, runs her errands, etc. Very good neighborhood.

So far things are going well. My loved one really seems to like it here! They do an excellent job looking after their residents, and they are able to provide all the care that she needs. The one issue we've had is that the person who handles their billing could be a bit more prompt with their responses.

I would recommend this place highly! They do a great job here, and the staff really seem to care about the residents, it isn't just a job to them. The facility itself is clean and well kept, and they have a lot to offer their residents!

The visit was positive. Mother liked Ridgeland Pointe. She says she's not ready to move yet but she did visit with some of the residents. She has to go to a heart doctor on Monday and a vascular doctor on Friday. She was given all the information and has brought it home to read. The costs are higher than her monthly income so she is going to the VA to see what they can do.. we have applied for the Aids and. Assistance. We should hear from them within 90 days.

Emeritus was a beautiful community and the staff very nice. It was clean and well maintained. The room offered was very nice but didn't fit the needs of my parents at this time. They were able to meet all of our other needs and were very willing to be helpful.

We’re very pleased with it. It’s very clean. The staff is also very friendly. My loved ones don’t really use much for care services. There are enough activities and they come in a pretty wide variety of activities. It’s a good value.

The Heritage House is a very nice place for my mother. The staff all greet you and are very courteous on every visit. They take the time to answer all questions and try to assist you in the care of your loved one.

very quiet...everyone in their rooms. Would feel alone.

They really do a good job. I am a retired professor and I don’t grade very high. This is on the high end cost wise, but I’m pleased with what’s being offered. Some of the caregivers are three’s and some are five’s so that’s why it’s a four. I see other people participating in activities, so that’s good. I’ve been pretty happy with what they do. When I make requests I get good responses.

Appears to be great community for independent living, could use some updating and repairs. Preference all-inclusive meal plan hierarchy.

The only negative was actually with the marketing and sales force. We received poor information and had much miscommunication before moving in. Then move -in day was awful because that department TOTALLY dropped the ball. Once we let the facility director know what has happened things were fixed quickly.
