We toured this community when we were looking into care options for a loved one. This was a very nice looking community, the staff were all friendly and helpful, and it was very clean. Although we ended up selecting another community this was our second choice, so it is definitely worth a look.

Loved it. Nice apt; buddy system for new residents, lots of social activities and areas for residents to visit such as library, movie room, etc.

What a blessing to have found a perfect fit for mom and dad at Brookdale Place at Harbor Crest. Dad was there for only four months and he so enjoyed all the kind and friendly people there. It is so comforting to know that mom is at a place that she can be cared for and also enjoy a social life. She entertains her friends by having them join her for the delicious meals, themed parties, and wonderful Sunday brunch. She faithfully exercises daily with a nice variety of organized exercises. The caring staff do a great job of meeting all mom's needs.

The Clare Bridge memory unit is small and the care is personal and specific. Staff is warm, caring and effective. The unit is clean and orderly, peaceful but never boring. My mom has been clean and dressed every day since she's been there. With her window shades open, the stage is set for her to greet the day and be active. She rests in bed a lot and they respect that but do not allow her to simply be forgotten in a darkened, closed down, room. Daytime welcomes her to engage if she can respond. My mom, being a memory patient, has had a lot of trouble adjusting to the change (less than one month) and the staff has been looking at her medications and interactions as a way to get her comfortable in the new environment. They always have time to hear my concerns and ideas. They have been encouraging to my father, who lives in the adjacent Assisted Living, to emotionally support Mom, as much as he would like, by visiting her often. The Staff always has a lot of energy and are authentically pleasant in our interactions. Most of all, they value my mother as a person by the way they physically and verbally interact with her and attend to her. The food seems rather average and could be more appealing.

I'd give them top marks across the board for everything! They've really gone above and beyond to make our loved ones cross country move as easy as possible. They're very easy to work with, the staff have all been incredibly friendly, and they had the best prices out of the other similar options we looked at in the area. They are definitely worth a look!

Beautiful dining room, lots of activities on-site and off. In area dad is familiar with, close to his doctor. POOL/HOT TUB! On KS side, save MO & KC tax $.

Horizon Bay is clean, bright and welcoming. My father-in-law appears to be settling in well. The staff is always smiling and willing to help in whatever way they can. Will know more as more time passes.

It was great! It was a wonderful transition. It's a wonderful place for people to be. It was easy to get moved in and settled and they have a wonderful staff. They offer a lot of activities. All the people that live there seemed to be very happy.

She likes the place except the food. They have really high functioning people there. She is getting pretty good service. She seems to be happy with it.

We didn't get the opportunity to use this community for long, it unfortunately just didn't work out based on our loved ones care needs. However, we would have no problem recommending them to others. It was a very pleasant place, and the staff were all very friendly.

This place has been great so far! It is very nice looking, and clean, and the staff have all been very friendly. The only issue I've had so far has been an ongoing ant problem. The keep spraying individual rooms when they need to spray under the foundation to get the source!

This was one of the locations we toured at when looking into memory care for our loved one. It was a very nice looking place, and the staff all seemed caring and professional. Our loved one had a very specific level of care that we didn't feel they were an exact fit for, but overall they seemed like a great memory care facility.

My dad lived in Emeritus Rancho Solano for many, many years over 10. He recently passed away and until the end the care staff who took care of him were outstanding. They treated my dad like he was family. They were committed in making sure all my dads needs were met on a daly basis. My dad was a picky eater so he was not thrilled about the food but I've eaten there and it wasnt bad. I thank the whole team for the care and for making my dads last days comfortable. We like it, they provide meals and transportation, but no other services. They did have activities for the residents to participate in. For someone who doesn't have Alzheimer's it would be a good place to live. He moved there almost 6 years ago when he was completely independent, and he would have stayed longer if he could have.

This is a clean, nice looking place, and the staff are very friendly. Overall we're very pleased, and can't really think of any way they could improve!

Everything about Parmer Woods has been great! It's a beautiful place, and everyone has been very friendly. Mom is like a different person now, she has shown so much improvement. When she was at home she had trouble getting around her house just from not needing to move and getting out of shape, and now she is up walking around the community, dancing, and having fun with friends. One of the reasons I picked this place was that when I toured the residents were out being social, talking, and laughing, and that is what I wanted for Mom. One aspect that I really liked at this community is their dining set up. Mom LOVES the food. There are open dining times where meals are available for a few hours during the day whenever you want to come and get them, i.e. breakfast is served for a few hours in the morning and the resident can come whenever suits them during that time. The choices for the meal that day are also presented on a central table in the dining area so you can see what all the choices look like before you order. As a final note, the attached memory care facility looked very good as well, and I know it will be something that Mom is going to need eventually, so I am happy she will be able to stay in the same complex.

They did a fabulous job, very good to work with. They have very caring people who wanted the best for my mom. She chose not to participate in the activities but from what I saw on the buletin boards, they had many, many things to do. I tried the food and it was hot, and they had many choices, it was not as spicy as I would eat but it was good, and healthy. I met many of the staff and it was convenient for us, and for family and friends to visit. It was reasonable in price. They have a dining facility for family members to come which is nice.

The second we walked in I told my husband this was the place for Mom they all are very caring and show there residents all the care in the world All our concerns were taken care of

The friendliness of the staff and their interaction with residents really stood out to us. The one thing that caught me off guard is, anything that a resident does, a report is filed with the head office. I just never realized it was that way. The communication is great any time she does anything off-kilter I get a phone call. So I am always informed and know what's going on whith her.

Emeritus was so beautiful, but it was way over her budget. It was $1000 more per month than the Atrium. Everyone was extremely friendly and it would have been very nice for my aunt to live here.
