Paramount staff (ALL) make your loved one feel special. they smile, hug, dance and play with the residents when I asked questions they are there with the answers or will find someone to answer them. mom has moved into the memory center now, but she is still taken well care of. I wish we would have found this place first.

i was visiting a family member at this community last week and i was amazed by all of the happy residents who were busy with different activities and welcoming to me as i came in the door. Such a beautiful place! I thought my grandma was in a nice place but going there made me feel like she was in the best place possible. Thank you Paramount for giving her the best care she could ask for. Before i left I took a walk around, fantastic is what came to mind. I left smiling and can’t wait to visit again!!

I recently place my grandmother here. It was a very hard decision to place her. [Name removed] helped make the transition much easier. The facility is beautiful, everyone is very friendly, and has a homey feeling. My grandmother has adjusted very well. She is getting good meals and wonderful care. I feel she is very safe and will be cared for very well. I don't have to worry about her because i know she is taken car of. The individual rooms are very roomy and they residence can decorate and make them their own. I am so glad we found Paramount and were able to get my grandmother place here. Thanks to all the staff for their kindness it was appreciated greatly.

The entire staff at this community are friendly and accommodating. They are willing to do anything mom asks and they are happy to help; you never feel like you are putting anyone out when you make a request. The community is only 5 years old and is just beautiful, with pretty carpeting, furniture and art work. The building is in a U-shape with a courtyard with a fountain, and some wild turkeys roaming the adjacent hillside that are fun to watch. The admissions nurse Sandra is very caring, and still speaks to me every time I see her. The front desk is very efficient, scheduling hair salon and doctor appointments, visitor meals, residents leaving, guests coming & going, and so on. The food is good and they offer a beautiful private dining room without charge, serving their food or you can bring your own. There are daily exercise classes, bingo, ice cream socials and frequent entertainers that come in. Paramount Peters networks with other local providers (pharmacy, doctors, dentist, podiatrist, etc.) that share their kindly views toward helping the residents. Whatever outside service mom has needed, Paramount is able to help her. Mom is in her second month at Paramount. She, and the family, are very pleased and would highly recommend this community.

My mother has adjusted very well to this community. She is doing very well, and I'am pleased with her move here. She has gotten involved in the community with the activities they have available. I haven't had any problem with the staff, they are always willing to help. The dining room is restaurant style. The meals are good, and they have a nice variety of food too choose from. They are providing her with great care. This is a community I would recommend, it has worked out very well for us.

I am really impressed with the quality and variety of food, as well as the variety and amount of activities being very good. Communication with the administrative department could have been a little better. There was some initial confusion. My mom is happy. The other residents seem to be very welcoming and friendly. Overall I would give them a four and a half.

The White Chapel Staff are truly wonderful people. Helpful, caring, friendly and willing to work with new residents and their family to adjust to their new environment. I cannot say enough on how cooperative and understanding the staff at White Chapel have helped ME with the transition of placing my father in their facility. Several people have commented that a right decision was made for the wellbeing of my father and after 2 weeks, I believe they are right. He is moving around more, having people around his own age gives him opportunities to talk and tell stories, things he was not doing at home. Thank you ALL!

My was feeling very lonely in her home plus she was going to have a hip replacement. She was suffering from depression and anxiety. Before her surgery, she spent a week at Emeritus to see how it was. After her surgery and rehab, she moved into Emeritus. Her depression and anxiety seems to be under control. She has made friends and participates in the many activities, plus she goes "right next door" to the Newark Senior Center to do the activities she has been doing there for five years. I think my mother made a good decision to go to Emeritus.

considering my mother's need for help on a daily basis and her fierce need for independence. to quote, nothing wrong with my brain it just a ninety two year old body. Everything I have seen, heard and research says this will be a good match.

My father needed a home; a place where people cared about him and saw to his needs. He's found a home at Emeritus at Wilburn Gardens. The staff goes beyond courtesy and caring, forming a bond with their charges that makes for a family atmosphere. When I visited, all of my dad's needs were addressed with a care I've not found anywhere else. They even made arrangements for my dad to visit when I wasn't able to bring him over. I was very impressed with their customer service and willingness to go the extra mile to make sure that we were both satisfied that this was the right place for my Dad.

He's only been there a week but at the moment they're getting high marks from us. The staff seems very pleasant, easy to work work, the facility itself is beautiful, very, very nice grounds. He has been encouraged to participate in activities, whether or not he will do them is another story, but that's just his personality. We really liked the garden style and the foyer being the center of activity whether he was on the first floor or second floor, regardless of whether he left his room or not he would still be able to hear what was going on.

The staff does a good job. There are some activities. I wish there were more but they are trying to meet people's needs. Food is filling but repetitive. I like it but my wife doesn't. They keep the home clean and orderly. We have a room that is adequate but that is all. They give showers to those that cannot do it on their own. The room showers are small. We usually eat in the dining hall with friends. Many don't participate in much. I don't know what can be done to encourage them. We are in personal care. Others are in skilled or independent care.

Most of the staff are great, only a few are questionable. Food is ok. Activities are very repetitive, I would like to see mom get out of the memory care ward more often for activities. The place is clean, but supplies are limited yet paid for.

[name removed] is not the best person to talk to as she is very selective about who she wants in any apartments or Cottages. For example she told me at our first meeting that as an occupant here, if another apartment or cottage came available I would have first dibs. She bold face lied to me. Food is good as one can choose from an alternate menu. Maintenance is cleaning up the grounds but it's hard to get them to install or fix something. Apartments, in my opinion, are big enough for one person or a couple as long as the person or couple doesn't have too many assistive devices. Each apartment has a full kitchen, you may cook if you desire. Showers are on the small scale so that if you needed a stool you would be crowded. All in all I do like living here.

Some of these things do not apply to my husband, but they seem to be good. The staff is very responsive and friendly. My husband is on a pureed diet, but it smells good. He isn't interested in any activities just now, but the carnival a few weeks ago was fun. I just wish they would clean the rooms a little more often.

Room size is fine. Cleanliness is fine. Activities are limited but we are in the memory care unit which limits what you can do. Staff dealing with patients are great...the only problem is they have to deal with being short staffed sometimes which can create delays in timely care...staff have always been friendly, courteous, and helpful.

You'd have to speak to my mother in law about the food, and I know there are activities offered but she doesn't really like to participate. She always talks about how clean it is and how often they come and clean her room and bathroom. Apt size is very good, the nursing and admin staff are friendly and available. It is pricey compared to her old facility (we moved her to VA from PA), but not too much more expensive than other ALF's in the area that we looked at while searching for a place for her

All of the above were good, staff was very good about communication and keeping on the same page regarding my father's care. I would recommend to others.

We had a good experience there...only needed it for 2 days. People were kind, it was clean, and they were very helpful to work with. We would recommend.
