Paramount Senior Living

We had a nice tour with Paramount Senior Living but we found the facility to be a little outdated.

Our family had an in person tour and the director was very nice and honest with us. However for our loved one it just was not the right vibe, it was a very busy atmosphere and very large. We wanted something a little smaller.

We had a good tour at Paramount. We found out everything we needed to know. We thought all was good, except my loved one wanted to be able to smoke, and she would have had to go across the street to do so.

Overall this is a good place to be for your loved one. I would recommend this community to others looking for a place for their loved one.

Our family had an in person tour and we really liked this community but because of covid we were not really able to see the memory care part. However, the other side we could see the studio apartments which were pretty but the community felt more like a hotel and did not really have that homey feeling to it.

Our family had an in person tour and the sales team we met with were very nice, we saw a lot of rooms and got a lot of information but we did not really like the community itself. It seemed more institutional and like a nursing home.

I'd recommend it to other families. It's a small and friendly community. It's clean overall. When one of the apartments had roaches, they did take care of it when it was addressed with them. I wouldn't consider that an issue. They provide excellent care services. My loved one wishes they offered a selection of food. The plate is just served, as is. And it's a small plate with small servings. But most of the time it tastes okay. They do have quite a few activities. I think for all of these types of facilities that the cost is high, but Paramount is one of the less expensive places.

The community is understaffed right now and there are to many residents with not enough staff. I would still recommend this community to others based on my total experience.

We toured with Paramount and everything was great. I just found a facility I was more comfortable with, but this was our second choice.

In the beginning our experience was very good, but towards the end they just seemed to be short handed. When our loved one passed we went to go grab her belongings and there was an entire box of things that belonged to another residents. Also, we had another residents hearing aids, and when we went to ask where our loved ones went they did not seem to have any idea, or any concern to find them. They also did not seem in a rush to get the hearing aids back to their owner.

Sometimes the communication isn't that great. They try and take care of the residents the best they can. I would like to see better communication from the staff. The price is very good for everything the residents are getting.

We chose Paramount because of the convenient location, throughout covid it worked out way better. He is on the first floor and he could come outside and meet us and we could visit often with him being that close. He does enjoy the activities here when they are provided. Mostly everyone has gotten their shots and they are starting to open things back up finally. They have had a lot of turnover in staff recently so things are changing at the moment. I think it is a good place to be and it is one of the lesser expensive ones, but I think they need to straighten some things out. I would recommend, but you have to know how to advocate for your loved one.

The tour went well, things were well organized and clean. The one bedroom unit looks like it would have the space we need.

We chose Paramount because when I reached out and talked to the director, they felt that she could be assessed and if she could walk she could go there. I was impressed when talking to them and it was close to home. Up until recently, they had not had any covid cases what so ever which is very rare in our state, so they were very careful with their protocols and keeping residents safe. I would recommend them to others looking.

A basic virtual tour. Saw a model apartment (both studio and one bedroom) - they look nice with plenty of space. Saw one of the activity rooms, but did not see dining area (resident were having meals). Scheduled an in-person tour to see facility in more detail. Overall, looks nice and services provided should meet needs.

The location was important to us, and the architecture of the building itself is very appealing, and the big skylight offers a lot of natural lighting. The rooms adequate in size, however our loved one hates the food. She is really unhappy with it. The quality is just no there. The staff has been wonderful during the period, they are extraordinary.

from what we have experience during this time with the community is that it is kept pretty clean, and our loved one is very happy at Paramount. They have done an amazing job keeping them engaged even during COVID. They have a lot of different games, a music corner where they can get up and dance. They have done a lot of things to keep their minds engaged as well, all while still maintaining social distancing. Our loved one also loves the staff members, she says they are all very kind and caring.

I would tell my friends that it would be pleasant to go to. The room for my loved one was needing to be cleaned more. There were ants in my loved one's room and the room was needed to be dusted for more. The food was just ok.

I would recommend this community. I have seen my friends parents be in other communities. This isn't like having your loved on being at home. The room was very nice, and you had to provide your own furniture. The staff was friendly. I went there to see my loved one once or twice a day. The only promise they didn't keep was the routine for my father, but I would have to help my loved one on specific needs. This seems to be similar in other communities.

Paramount Senior Living is a tad more on the expensive side, they do seem to have a good amount of activities for the residents to participate in. What stood out to us when we first were vising was that it is very clean and has a modern looking. The room our loved one is currently in is a nice size room, every one has their own bathroom. The food at this community is about average, our loved one complains a little bit about it but overall its pretty decent.
